These Images are from my work in progress entitled 'Tom Ridge'.
The work is an immersive installation in which the viewer will experience from both inside & outside. The work will be accessed by a single cart upon a track which runs through the interior. The cart will transport the viewer into a fixed vantage showing a scale model vignette of a house foyer whose stairway contains a sinkhole at its base. The exterior will contain various 'periscopic' protuberances which will contain alternate views of the scale 'event'. In addition to those details; the entire structure will be fitted out to contain flying buttresses, and various other facets contributing to an aesthetics of contraption. Work will continue here at Sculpture Space until end of Nov & resume at my studio in Buffalo in December.
