The reason why I adore book (!) Shen Wei and book (!) Zhao Yunlan is because Shen Wei is a monster who tries valiantly to be more than just a monster, and there is Yunlan who couldn't care less. He loves Shen Wei warts and all, and the same is true the other way around. In many ways, Zhen Hun is your classic monster fucker story where the lover is quite happy with his monster.

I wrote this fic for @mnemonicmadness-blog for the Hurt/Comfort Exchange, this fic has been my absolute baby.  I started working on it almost immediately after getting my assignment and it just… consumed my existence for the duration.  It was one of those stories that just had to get out of me once I got the idea for it and of everything I’ve written, it’s probably one of the ones I’m most proud of.  And I just realized I never shared it here.  Oops?  ;D  So yeah… it’s a roller coaster, but I tried to write it so it would be comprehensible even if you haven’t seen Dollhouse, so I hope you’ll give it a try?  ^_^
