taking the john egbert model and simply replacing the glasses w/ hearing aids immediately makes ur bland design stand out that much more bc its actually doing something different. show producers im really tired of seeing him. change at least something. (this is not condemning putting glasses in character designs theyre actually vv useful!! but seeing the same two pairs on the same white boy with slightly differing dark messy hair and the same two body types just gets old bro. if ur making ocs for fun do whatever but representation matters man. consider if you’re designing them for something commercial... swapping out the glasses with hearing aids... making them Not White. maybe even making them explicitly lgbt in some way. Something) Also there is SO much versatility u can do w/ hearing aids just as much as with glasses so....... consider it

- okay if we’re talking ot7 eddie isn’t always a top but he does occasionally theres just others who probs prefer it more than him

- eddie does dom richie in basically any situation though like. unless he’s being dommed by someone else atm he’s like richie listen to me

Pros and Cons of being a Rare Pair Shipper

Cons:

chances are, just about five people actively ship it in your fandom

there’s hardly any fanart, fics, or edits of your ship

if you want something done, you have to do it yourself

you literally just signed yourself up for like ten, with about half of that ten actually being good, fics in their ao3 tag

constantly being asked why you ship them when [insert reason as to why it apparently makes sense to NOT ship them]

Pros:

when ship drama happens in your fandom, at least your ship is safe from it

usually the people that actively ship the rare pair are nice

literally nothing else

Thinking about this:

implying that there's something going on between Richie and Steve. Most likely not a serious relationship because Richie's too repressed and dealing with all his mental health and addiction issues on top of that, but Steve falling for him anyway despite knowing this.

And Steve being worried about Rich when he leaves because he won't explain himself or why he's leaving or ANYTHING not that Richie ever talked about himself in the first place. And Richie being gone and not answering Steve's messages/calls.

And in the AU where Eddie dies, Richie comes back even more depressed than before and just hollow and STILL won't tell Steve what happened or why he even left.

But if Eddie did live, Steve would have to watch Richie be in love with someone else and wonder why he could never make Richie smile like that or why Rich could never fall in love with HIM. Like he's happy for him, but it still hurts, y'know?
