My Theory About “Your Idol”

Ok so basically, when I was listening to your idol, I just kept thinking about the Saja Boys and their solos.

here’s my theory: all their solos were about how Gwi Ma fooled and enslaved them.

Abby: “keeping you in check, keeping you obsessed, playing on repeat (endlessly) in your head. Anytime it hurts, play another verse, I can be your sanctuary.” I think this implies that Gwi Ma promised him safety from something dark that happened to him in his past, and how he was manipulated into thinking that listening to Gwi Ma would protect him.

Mystery: “Know I’m the only one right now, I will love you more when it all burns down.” I think Gwi Ma told Mystery that he was the only one who could ever truly love him, and would love him more if he did what he asked. Also he has “don’t let it show, keep it all inside, the pain and the shame, keep it outta sight” which makes me think he was guilt tripped by Gwi Ma.

Jinu: “You know I’m the only one who will love your sins” is Gwi Ma taunting him about how if Rumi ever knew the truth about what he did to his family, she’d never love him back, and Gwi Ma was the only one who would care about him.

Baby: “Uh (shining) fame, (keep shouting) I’m your idol, thank you for the pain ‘cause it got me goin’ viral” I have a few ideas for this, but the main one is that Baby was abused when he was alive, possibly being pushed into the idol industry. Maybe he was famous, but hated his life. Gwi Ma promised an escape from reality.

sadly Romance doesn’t have a solo :(

side note: I noticed during Baby’s solo, at one point he puts two fingers against his head like a gun, which makes me think maybe he killed himself, either before or after Gwi Ma got in his head.
