my guide to nonhumanism (part 3)

since the last one got alot of attention, im doing a followup!!

cervidaekins:

get antlers, hoof shoes, or ears!!

pick flowers, make a flower crown!

spend time around lakes, trees, and in nature

eat veggies or berries!! you could put berries in your yogurt, oatmeal or cereal

put plants around your house, and if you can, plant grass and trees

amphibiankins:

sunbathe by a pool, or just sit outside

eat bugs (safely!), or get bug candy

climb trees!!

spend time around the animal you kin, or watch videos of them

make a little burrow hideout from blankets!!

if you're a carnivore, eat meat!

wear fake fangs!! c:

eat gummy worms or gummy bugs!! or real bugs if youre up for it

make a nest from blankets

climb trees, forage, spend time in nature!

get a birdhouse and feet the birds c:

have pet bugs!! friends!

“Species Dysphoria” (2021)

I’ve been waiting to post this one for a little while now! This comic was made for the Inky Paws Zine, a collaborative fiction zine created by nonhumans and alterhumans!

In hindsight, I should’ve probably leaned a little bit more into making this a fictional piece to better fit the zine’s theme…nevertheless, I’m still happy with it! This was something I created to try and articulate some of my personal feelings about my species dysphoria through the lens of someone who’s also trans, and maybe feels that those two identities are really the same.

I had one of my partners ask about courting rituals I do as a dragon and I'm???

I don't think ive ever had such a simple question straight up turn me into a flustered mess before

If any fellow dragon/ mythic/ reptilekin have had any memories surrounding courting behaviors I'd love to hear them, maybe they'll trigger something hehe @@;

The funnest part of inducting someone into a new fandom is when they inevitably run into the fandom's quirks that nobody outside of it knows about, and you get the fun of explaining it.

Like when I started a VTM campaign and my players eventually asked "hey, how do you pronounce 'Tzimisce'?"

and I got to tell them that nobody, in this thirty-year-old fandom, actually knows. It's just. a little VTM fandom thing. The fandom is thirty years old, and nobody knows. nobody.

Zim-iss-see? Shah-may-say? zim-esk-kay?

Somewhere, out there, is the person who came up with the whole concept of the Tzimisce. The person who named them. The person who poured their life into them. Someone who knows the answer.

And they have kept their mouth shut and watched us all suffer for their own twisted entertainment.

And honestly, if you know anything about the Tzimisce at all, that's peak Tzimisce.
