once again the Armand/Daniel dynamic lives rent free in my head like

why are his martinis better than Rashid’s?

why did RJ say that he shouldn’t fear Armand but the other one?

why does Armand keep explaining himself directly to Daniel and not Louis?

why can Daniel suddenly see right through his bullshit, like he’s used to it, like he’s slipping back into an old coat?

why is Armand over-policing Daniel now that he’s remembered SF? unless there are more things he doesn’t want him to remember?

why did he make that face at Daniel when he said “I was a coward”?

why does he keep calling him “Mr Molloy”?

Uhh something something the way armand broke out of whatever character he was doing when daniel started genuinely sobbing and breaking down something something the way armand immediately comforted older daniel when he teared up about the proposal to "alice" something something that's the love of his existence something something

He's the same guy who kept slamming young Daniel to the floor multiple times and then tortured him and wanted to kill him . And now he's being all gentleman polite not dangerous baby pookie affectionate and manipulative at the same time. Yeah nothing happened between them after the 70s .

There’s something that Armand needs from Daniel or there’s no way he would be allowing this interview to happen. We know that he didn’t want it to take place (or he’s pretending that he didn’t), and that he has the power to make it not happen, so it will be interesting to see why he’s agreed to it.

Just a few observations:

1. The fact that Louis still finds Daniel attractive in his old age, to the point that he offers to sleep with him present day, leaves me ecstatic. I love a vampire with taste. Old people deserve desire too.

2. The way Armand kept caressing young Daniel made me feral. He just liked touching him and was very gentle about it. He telepathically manhandled him but physically was really tender.

3. Circling back to point 1 then 2, I think Armand also still finds present day Daniel attractive. Not in spite of his old age, but because of it. Just the way he privately looks at him.
