Searching for lesbian fanfiction is hell on earth lmfao. Everything tagged f/f is also primarily about a man, features girldick, or is clearly written by someone who’s never been in a relationship with a woman at all

I got friends on main comparing being in the new Harry Potter show to...wait for it...making Nazi uniforms. Like what the fuck is wrong with you people. You actually think comparing JK Rowling to Hitler isn't fucking insane and disrespectful? And then if I say something you're going to act like I'm ignoring genocide. I hate it here.

The way people will openly admit to being fully conscious they were/are fetishing gay people and then be like “and it turns out this whole time I was actually just a trans man/woman!” because they’re so locked into this echo chamber is insane. Like are you guys aware how many people irl simply know you’re a heterosexual pervert.

one of the best things you can do for yourself as a woman is refuse to see your own suffering as virtuous. like no, the fact that you’re practically working yourself to death because your husband is useless and your basically a married single mom with an extra kid isn’t proof you’re a good mother.
no, the fact that you’re willing to let your boyfriend hit you during sex and call you names doesn’t make you a “cool girl”.
no, the fact that you pour hours of your time you’ll never get back and so much money into altering your appearance solely on an aesthetic level so you can be a “baddie” or whatever isnt a flex.
your life is yours, a solid sized chunk of us live very privileged lives as women where we’re allowed to obtain education, live independently, etc yet so many of us still actively make ourselves suffer is so infuriating, confusing, and disheartening. i want better for all of us. every single one of us.

Being against the sexual degradation of women in terms of pornography/prostitution and just everyday life, used to be a very normal and valid opinion in feminism 30-40+ years ago.
But in the present day merely complaining about the hyper-sexualization of women, will get you called an ‘internalized misogynist’ ‘prude’ ‘frigid’ ‘anti-feminist’ ‘facist’ and the upsetting thing about it, is that it’s women saying it to each other.

It's funny how much modern queer identity relies on being the most strange weird outcast at any time. Every relationship a non-binary person has is inherently gay, lesbians are inherently trans, bi women who will never date a single woman are always the queerest people in the room at any given time. Sex in which a man beats a woman up is the most radical punk thing in the world (those categories aren't real! Silly!). Up is down and the sky is red. If you talk to any of these people about socialization, material reality, historical context and gendered and sexual hierarchies which affects people lives and how we live in a society so we don't get to just create meaning out of thin air, they will argue that you're the exact same as a nazi. Postmodernism makes me want to tear my hair of.

Agree that ppl are dumb for complaining about lack of non binary rep and cissexism (whatever that is) in the book Invisible Women but why do you find the word female dehumanizing?
It literally, definitionally is. “Females” can refer to members of any species, human or not. “Women” are only human. Referring to women as females literally takes away the humanizing aspect; that’s part of why it feels so derogatory when men refer to us this way.

Not to be insane but I feel like transfeminism is this whole suite of liberatory insights not just for transfems but literally for everybody but then you try to tell like, a cis woman about it and theyre like ew no thank you marriage and gender roles are natural and ur just some weird dude in a dress. And then you tell a trans guy and hes like ew no thank you my biological sex is so real and ur just some weird dude in a dress. And then you go try telling less informed/intellectually curious trans women and theyre like ew no thank you I’m just some weird dude in a dress.
Like you shout from the rooftops about how all our identities are constructed and how we are all being used and how we are all seen as monstrous if we try to actually love and fulfill ourselves and instead of a broad solidarity everyone's like

No, actually, but reading that article on one reason women in the US may have so many c-sections is because we tell women they cannot eat or drink anything once they start labor, their body becomes depleted of key electrolytes as they spend hours in labor and they don’t replace it with anything, and they they’re too tired to keep pushing was a revelation for me.
Because it reminds me of doctors telling women in the past not to gain too much weight, to have an enema before labor, to lay straight on their backs while giving birth. This is all for the benefit of the doctors - smaller babies are easier to pull out of the birth canal, they don’t want you pooping on the table, doctors like having a clear line of sight more than you having a natural birthing position.
Like yes, we don’t want women to aspirate on their vomit if we have to intubate or put them under anesthesia during labor. But also, yall don’t seem to give a fuck if you have time to give women pain meds before slicing them open during the c section, so like…maybe let the mothers have a blue Gatorade and and some meats and cheeses when they’re 2 hours deep into labor and they won’t need the c section in the first place.

I think for the past ten years or so, people have reduced patriarchy to "hatred of women" as if it's simply about personal prejudice. In that case it actually makes sense why so many women think the solution is educating people better. If the issue was just that women aren't liked then campaigns about "loving women" or "teach your sons to respect women" would work.
But patriarchy is not a misunderstanding it's a power structure. And all power structures are held up by those with the power benefiting, not those with power not "knowing better". Ending Patriarchy essentially means you are asking billions of people to give up their power, and the obvious response from people with power is "make me"
I don't expect Bezos to redistribute his wealth because I explained labour rights, so patriarchy isn't any different. You'll never give oppressors moral awakenings. The entire point of power structures is people benefiting from harm while being emotionally insulated from it.
Taking on the burden of making men understand just seems like emotional labour scaled up.
