Their interaction at the gala didn’t even convince him it was actually her until this moment. Her face when she saw him was proof enough that he wasn’t mistaken. She had booked it away from him so quickly he didn’t have time to pry any further. This was her  job though, she couldn’t run off now. “Olivia.” He insisted, stepping up to the counter. “What was that the other night?” He recalled watching her retreating figure through his foyer to where a male waited for her. “Who- who was that guy at the gala with you? Who’s Anna?”

The woman cringed a bit hearing her old name being used. She had gotten so used to being Anna Bennett that hearing Olivia seemed so strange. She stepped back, resting her body against the counter to brace herself. She was sure the shock was all over her face as she tried to process and figure out how to handle this situation. “Ben...” She barely got out before taking a deep breath. “Olivia...that’s just not who I am anymore.” It was a lie, but it wasn’t a full explanation either. “That was Shane, my husband.” She couldn’t hide the bitterness that was seeping from her words. She didn’t feel she owed him an explanation, but she knew he’d push for more information. “I just..I need you to just act like what happened with us...it never happened. Okay? That shouldn’t be that hard for you, right? I mean you just left me behind like it was nothing.”

It was a typical Sunday afternoon at the Wildflower Cafe, slow and just the regulars stopping in for their usuals. The day was winding down, and because it was Sunday she was prepare to close up shop a bit early for the day. She heard the bell on the front door ding as she was putting some of the dishes in the sink to wash. Anna headed towards the front counter, fixing her apron a bit, “What can I get started for you...” She spoke, before looking up to get a good glimpse into who walked through the door. “Shit.” She muttered under her breath as she looked back at the man she was hoping she wouldn’t have to run into here. She didn’t want to involve him, drag him into this mess. She would have been find if she never had to see those sparkling eyes looking back at her ever again after the months of seemingly endless heartbreak that he caused her. She wasn’t even sure what to say to him, feeling the panic starting to build up in her.

Anna wasn’t often seen at public events, but this one was an exception since her wife was invited by her boss. While she wasn’t typically a people person, and she would try her best to avoid any kind of conversation with anyone there she loved having a reason to get dressed up and have a drink or two. It didn’t take too long after they arrived for Shay to get caught in a conversation with someone. “I’ll go get us some drinks.” She told the woman she called her wife before making her way towards a waiter with a tray of champagne. Trying to get to the waiter she tapped on a stranger who was standing in her ways shoulder. “Excuse me, just trying to grab two of those really quickly.” She pointed towards the glasses, hoping they would move.

{PHOEBE TONKIN} Detectives have case files on {ANNA OLIVIA RUSSO BENNETT}. It reads that they are a {35} year old {CIS FEMALE}. They had not met Maddison Halles and they were {NOTHING}. {SHE} lives in {SUMMERSET STREET} and work as {BARISTA AT WILDFLOWER CAFE}. They can be considered {DEPENDABLE} but also {COLD HEARTED}. They couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with the disappearances…. could they?
NAME: Olivia Russo Anna Bennett
AGE: 35
BIRTHDAY: July 9th
PARENTS: Kelly Russo & Unknown John and Amelia Smith
OCCUPATION: Barista at Wildflower Cafe
MARITAL STATUS: Married to Shay Bennett
SEXUALITY: Bi-Sexual
AESTHETIC: a cup of hot coffee on a rainy morning, loud music in a crowded club, tired soul, stargazing even in the middle of winter, watching storms from the window, and admiring the beauty of the wind.
OLIVIA RUSSO - THE GIRL
Olivia Russo was born to a waitress who could barely make ends meet, and struggled with drug addiction. She was rarely home, and when she was she was bringing home random men.
She struggled to get through high school as she had to start working at age 15 just to keep the roof over her and her mother's head.
Once she graduated she continued working full time, becoming manager of a local diner. She mostly kept to herself, working, sleeping, and going back to work most days.
One winter night she was serving a regular some coffee when she finally had enough time to talk to him. His name was Ben and he was living in the area for work. They ended up talking the whole night until the end of Olivia’s shift when he finally had the courage to ask her for her number.
Since that night the two became inseparable. He was everything she wanted in life, he made her feel safe, secure, and loved. He wasn’t trying to steal money from her or use her for anything and it was refreshing compared to the scum she was normally around.
About a year into their relationship Ben and Olivia moved in together, and things were getting serious. They were even talking about getting a dog in the future. Olivia went back to school, hoping to get a degree in business management.
Ben and Olivia had a picture-perfect relationship, and she was finally free from her toxic mother. They had date nights at least twice a month, cooked and ate dinner together nightly, and supported each other as they chased their dreams and goals. They were clearly in love, and anyone who saw them together noticed.
One night over dinner Ben was obviously upset, and he told her he needed to go back to his hometown for a bit to care for his parents. He didn’t think it would take much longer than a few months, and even if it did he would come to stay and visit and she could come to visit him. Olivia needed to stay behind to finish her schooling.
It only took a few weeks before their communication broke down. Ben rarely reached out and answered her calls. About a year after he left she gave up completely on him coming back.
Struggling to pay the rent in their shared apartment Olivia started looking for some side jobs she could do at night to help. She eventually met Jacob, a local who really only came out at night and he offered her a position helping him. He needed a friendly face, who was able to get dirt on people and report on their activities without them knowing.
This side gig lasted for over 9 years, but eventually, the word was getting around that Jacob had someone digging for him and her face was starting to be familiar to a lot of the inner crime circles.
The police found out about her as they were taking down a big local crime boss, and took her into custody. Offering her protection if she testified and told everything she knew. She accepted the bargain and soon enough she had a target on her head.
Putting her under the witness protection program she had to move, and change everything about her. She was given protection by an agent named Shay Bennett, and the story was that they were a married couple. She changed her name to Anna Bennett and began their new life together.
After having to relocate a few times already they found themselves in Claybourne, not knowing that a person from her past would be there.
Anna Bennett - THE COVER
Anna Bennett was born in Nashville, Tennessee to John and Amelia Smith.
Anna was a B student in school and loved art class.
After graduation, Anna was enrolled in college where she attended Texas State University for Business Administration. She graduated and went right into the field managing a local coffee chain.
She met her wife, Shay Bennett while out on the town one night. The pair were dancing together and ended up going home with each other. They didn’t sleep together their first night of meeting but instead stayed up watching random crime documentaries on Netflix and talking about their goals.
They miss their friends back in Texas, but wanted a new life somewhere quieter.
