PokemonGO was dope, but nothing was beating the classics. Anyway, he did have a personal connection with the digital animated mouse, 

           After scooping its poop and giving it’s meal, his time was freed and Rich had his full attention. “What’s up, bro? You already know the most private spot we got.” He’s referring to their Abandoned Gas Station of Solitude. They’re quite a long way from there and he’s curious just how urgent he needed to have this talk. “Or we can walk back a block and head into our science lab?” The space is mostly theirs anyway, save for a few other smarties that frequented the spot. It was as good as a private spot as any others he could think of.

“Bro how can you ignore your Pikachu like that, huh? His only crime was loving you.” Rich joked-- it was a bit of humor to ease the tension he felt. The male wasn’t all too eager to get to the nitty gritty of it-- but he knew it was a discussion they had to have.

It was something he had to get off his chest-- something that weighed on him.

“We should head to the gas station.” He offered with a forced smile. It felt more secure--safer for the two of them.

richie and virgil were 14 when static shock aired in 2000. which meant they were born in 1986. WHICH MEANS in 2018 they’re already in their 30′s working with the league and all that.

i can see rich joining up full-time after college. he’s probably got a handful of phd’s under his belt by 32. but when your brain is literally a supercomputer you can’t keep the smart from happening. i imagine he probably works for bruce on paper-- helping develop things r&d wise for the league and batman-- while saving his BEST stuff for him and virgil.

you bet your ass v is still his best friend after all this time. if rich manages to land a solid relationship, virgil would absolutely be the best man at his fabulous wedding. let’s just say sparks might be flying between rich and another hero-- but we won’t name names here.

virgil and a handful of others are still the only ones who call him ‘rich’ or ‘richie’. since he mostly goes by ‘rick’ professionally. though with a recent television series coming out, he’s debating going back to ‘richie’. being a scientist named rick grows a bit frustrating when folks are comparing you to a fictional asshole.

he absolutely makes jokes with virgil about it tho.

i don’t make the rules but richie absolutely loves virgil. he’s family-- closer than that. the man is his best friend. they fight crime together. they risk their lives for one another and the trust they have is absolute.

it doesn’t have to be romantic to be JUST AS VALID. richie cares about his best friend. nuff said.
