#i encounter tourists in vancouver more often than you might think#and my main reaction is always: 'why would you come HERE of all places?'#especially since i'm usually outside of vancouver proper#so if i'm encountering a tourist#not only does it mean that they've chosen to spend their valuable vacation time in raincouver#but also that they have somehow ended up in an obscure suburb of vancouver#i can understand people going to whistler or tofino or something#but why are you here in new westminster/burnaby?#we had a huge influx of tourists when taylor swift came#and even then i was like#'okay but how'd you end up at this tiny cafe in burnaby? what are you doing here?'

Until pretty recently, I had never read fic for a fandom I had never dipped into. It got me thinking about why people read fics for stories they've never followed. Sooo...
*not even 1 episode. None of the book. No more than the movie's trailer. etc.
#i would have thought that the most common reason by far would be#people searching by content or trope tags and reading anything that seems good#so like.#people who want to read stories on a certain subject#or that follow a certain theme#without necessarily caring too much about which characters are used to explore those themes#that’s how it is for me anyway

i think the nhl should take advantage of the fact that so many hockey players know how to juggle and make juggling an official part of the game. i don't really know how it would fit into the game, but i do know that i want to see more juggling.
