Gyro Shack review
Greetings Gang! Welcome to my channel where I bring you food related content. Coming right up!
We are at the Gyro Shack in Everett, WA (north of Seattle).
This franchise originated in Boise, Idaho but branched out to Western Washington and Oregon in places like Portland, OR, Olympia, WA and in here in Everett, WA.
The menu is very diverse offering gyros fusionized with popular American sandwiches like the Philly style, BLT, and the intriguing "Z."
But personally you can never go wrong with the original and more authentic. Literally the original Gyro...Called the “original.”
The Original Gyro is the most simple out of all Gyros and but it is Gyro Schack's signature sandwich.
It is very much like the Big Mac or Whopper version of Gyro Shack.
*Laurent speaks with the food in front of him.*
I have had "gyro" before and it was in France though they call "Kebab" but it is basically lamb meat.
The Kebab sandwich I had in France had different bread texture. It is probably Turkish influenced and not pita bread like this one in my hand.
Lamb based sandwiches are not unique to just one country or nationality. It can be found in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, North African countries.
Each have their version and twist on their ingredients and variety. Just like many parts of the world, cuisine from a country will influence another. And throughout centuries they tend to piggy back off of each other.
But the important thing is I enjoy it.
