a woman without her SISTER is like a bird without WINGS

Periwinkle would not be surprised by the stares, since she looked to stand out way more than everyone. Snow white hair, pale skin, and bright blue and white clothing. At her sister’s surprise and hug, she returned fully, unable to hold back a slight giggle. It was understanding worry. “I’m okay, Tink, really.” She gave her sister’s hands a squeeze after taking them off of her shoulders, to show her wings to her sister. They were okay.
“I finally got a chance to speak with the Minister of Winter, and ask how she was able to come into the warmer side without damaging her wings.” She gave her sister another hug with a giggle, “I can finally be over here just like you can be over there.”
Turning at the sound and ready to tell off her friend for trying to frighten her, Tink was startled into dropping the armful of Lost Things she’d been carrying to Tinker’s Nook. The clatter they made as they fell perfectly represented how her heart was beating now. Periwinkle. It was PERIWINKLE. In Spring! Without a snow machine.
“Peri! You’re here! But, how? Not that I’m not happy to see you, I just–your wings! Are they okay?” She flew into a quick embrace with her sister, but held her at arm’s length to assess her state of health.

Periwinkle’s breathing was even heavier, as she tried to move her wings, but not much since she’s afraid they’d break if she tried. But when she heard a voice behind her, blue eyes looked up to see a human boy, but with hair as snow white as her own. She tried to get up and fly away, but she only managed to flutter a bit before she fell back to the warm ground. Her wings shriveling up even more. She had to remember what the Minister of Winter taught her. She looked up at the boy and wondered if he’d understand as she spoke, out of breath, “My wings.... Can you .... get me to a cold place?”

there were flashes of blue as jack moved from tree to tree, finding nothing better to do in this part of the world, as spring as just barely becoming summer and his job was more than over here. but he loved how things looked even without the powdery touch of snow and the chilled breeze of winter, with the flowers and trees all green and colorful, so he’d stuck around for a little while longer. but something else moved on the ground, a shimmer of pale azure, or so it seemed, and he dropped to the grass a short distance away. “well, aren’t you TINY.”

It was a huge amount of shaking as she couldn’t keep balance and fell, it was quite terrifying. The humans were so big. The larger humans even more intimidating. The next moment, she was looking into blue eyes that could match her own. She thought of her own sister’s story about meeting a human girl named Lizzie. Wings dropped as fear filled her, only big enough to truly handle one emotion at a time.
When asked if she could understand, Periwinkle gave a nod as a small jingle escaped. Maybe this human was a kind fairy lover? Did she know of fairies like Lizzie did in Tink’s story? “You are not going to hurt me?”
Little fingers had been quickly plucking at the pretty flowers that seemed to be fully in bloom. She wanted to get them before they started to wilt, and catching a few bugs with them would surely do them well - and if not, Himawari was sure Shino could find a home for them. She hummed quietly to herself until she thought she heard jinglebells. She looked around and when she saw nothing to her left or her right, the child glanced down and –.
Himawari let out a small gasp of surprise, before she held up the bottle to her eye level, and moved a couple of flowers out of the way so that she could see her better. “You’re so tiny. I’m sorry I hadn’t meant to catch you – Can you understand me? You look so cute!”

Oh what she wouldn’t give to be an animal fairy right about now,
but would an animal fairy even know how to communicate with
such a creature. She watched in horror, wings pointed to the floor
as a sign of fear, as she raised an arm up to the creature. What
was worse? Getting caught by that large creature or the human?
But this wasn’t the only one, there were so many of these foreign
creatures. She’s never read anything like it in Dewey’s books. So
what could it possibly be? The human called it Toothless, as she
took a glance above her arms, to see the dragon with it’s nose in
the small crevice the fairy took shelter in. Sled was a winter Animal
fairy, why wasn’t he here to help?
She could only hope the human didn’t come to see her either, she’s
never met one, her sister has, but what were the chances this human
wasn’t like the pirates back home?
▊▊▊-[❇]-▊▊▊—;
Hearing the massive amounts of noise the young vikings looked
around hearing the creaking around his house. The dragon whom
now lived among them was chasing after something in the snow
outside after he sent him out. But that wasn’t to be the case for
long seeing the dragon jump through his big open window
after a small glowing ball of light.
“Toothless what are you chasing?”
The dragon looked up with a happy gummy grin on his face as
his nose got stuck in the small place as he sniffed and thumped
his tail against the wooden boards happily looking at the tiny little
thing with wings.

So many beautiful flowers, something she thought she’d never get a chance to. However, her chances of viewing them were stopped the moment she was captured. It all happened in a flash, and she was so confused. One minute she was free, the next, her hands couldn’t go through the invisible wall of ice jar. Banging lightly against the glass, she was completely stuck only jingles coming out as she yelled, “Help! Someone help!”

Periwinkle didn’t expect it to get warm in winter here in the main land, and as such, since she had ran away from the Winter Woods... Made completely out of Pixie Dust, she wasn’t limited in her flying abilities, but she hadn’t perfect her ability to keep cool in the warmer seasons. So she floated down onto the ground, her breathing heavy and sporadic as she tried to looked for a cold little area.

The young frost fairy was just sitting on a lily pad, since she managed to learn from the Minister of Winter how to control her wing temperature in the warmer seasons. Neverland was so big and she wasn’t sure where her sister could be. Periwinkle had a half mind to try the main land, but she waved her fingers into the melted ice. Not at all expecting to see a human around, the only humans here were pirates, which were enemies to the fairies.

Periwinkle was just making icicles on a house when a sort of scary creature she’s never seen before was coming towards her. Of course, to a human, she just looked like a glowing ball of blue light. Flying away as fast as she can until she made it to a human house, the scaly creature trying to follow her as she stuffed herself between two large furniture.

Periwinkle at some point did have a huge crush on her friend Sled. She might still have that small crush, always having fun with ice sliding, toboggan, snowball fights, and etc. He is her only sparrowman friend, much like Tink and Terrence is friends.

Trapped in the large human house, Periwinkle was just trying to find some found things to help her sister. And now she was in a jar, her back pressed to the end, fear in her eyes. Praying that Gliss, Spike, Sled, or even Lord Milori would find her.

The small winter fairy stared at the boy, unsure what he could mean. She looked ditzy?? Jingles escaping her as she spoke, “You don’t understand me, then?” Maybe Tink was right... Did humans not understand fairies?
❝ what’s the matter with you ? ya look ditsy right now. ❞ not to state the obvious, but he can’t help the way a laugh bubbles deep within his chest, cheeks straining from the effort to keep the amused smile off his face. ❝ y’gotta make sense, though. gotta have a guy confused intellectually. ❞

Periwinkle had been so excited to have managed to learn from the Minister of Winter how she was able to cross the border without needing snow. Wishing to surprise her sister, she began to fly through Pixie Hollow, keeping out of sight so no one saw her and word spread to Tink. Following closely behind a wagon with fairies wearing the usual tinker garbs, she flew through the grass and waited til she saw Tink. Once her sister came to view, Peri flew straight towards her, before letting out a small “boo” from behind.

Periwinkle had hurried over to another icicle, continuing her creating more and more of them. She rushed through human houses to frost over their ice walls ( windows ). While also hiding from humans, she would watch the children play in the snow, the larger humans would fuss and complain. Ever since her sister had disappeared, not knowing what happened to her since she hadn’t come to visit her home since. She couldn’t stay without her sister, so she fled the Winter Woods as well, and thankfully it was Winter here in the Mainland.

“Oh, so you wash things? Fascinating.” Periwinkle loved learning of all the new things from the warm side. Maybe this was her first time coming to the Winter Woods, cause if that was the case, she’ll gladly show her all the fun things to do. It also showed with her question.
“No, I’m quite lucky in that case, huh? Is this your first time here in the Winter Woods?”
The frost talent fairy gladly took the clothed hand in her own, giving it a shake. “It’s so nice to meet you, Lympia. I’m Periwinkle.”
“I’m a Laundry talent fairy!” Lympia answered cheerily.
The Laundry fairy had come to the Winter Woods all the way from the Soapstone Creek that ran through the Summer Glade. As a Laundry talent, she was particularly fond of the color white, and there wasn’t a purer white than that of the powdery snow that covered the landscape before her.
Lympia shuddered at the sight of Periwinkle in her strapless dress.
“Aren’t you cold?” She knew the answer, of course, but even with her mittens, earmuffs, coat, boots, and three layers of clothes Lympia still felt a light chill and she was still shivering a little from having had her wings frosted.
She stuck out a mitten-ed hand, “I’m Lympia, by the way.”
