Im pretty sure that the person winter slept with wanted them to leave so they can keep their secrets, even though they want them to stay with them they have tons of secrets to keep and I'm pretty sure that they're part of a cult which we all know might be Auriga, Oh and the spell that person put on winter was some kind of fox mating ritual, like how winter said they thought that after that night they had earned something and also lost something along the way which was probably their heart or soul? Meaning that they both gave each other their soul/Heart after that night making them As One, off topic(kind of?) but apparently the person saying they were in warm walls if the person was a male and winter was a female will always make laugh and make me more curious cause he was basically talking about the semen he left inside winter which possibly ended up giving a child which must mean one of their kids must have a fox tf like that person did and if if winter is male and that person is a female they end up saying "We're Home" after rubbing their belly saying they fell his warmth in them rather then "I'm Home"(for the male counterpart of this person)

The whole story gives me more questions than answers but I agree that there’s definitely something cult-y going on I just wish we had more answers. It’s been a while since I’ve looked into any of the cult stuff so I might have a look about once I start a new save.

The ‘we’re home’ line has me reevaluating if the PC died now though… Hmm maybe it’s just because I’m on the last ending of the Hopeless Cycle storyline but the parent and child being so similar, then there’s a potential third generation, I wonder if it’s some kind of reincarnation like in the hopeless cycle endings? Eh idk maybe I’ll need to post my speculation on that after all lmao

Now that I think about it, it could make sense for it to be reincarnation or something though right? With the PC to be able to feel it inside Winter and it would also make sense considering the child would probably either be raised by the f!PC or wherever they end up with Winter…

But man I’m now more curious about where ‘home’ is, I was curious before but I kind of just chalked it up to going to some sentimental area but if they didn’t die it surely has to actually be somewhere and not just out by the lake or something? Man I need answers.

Winter's backstory has me needing answers so bad:

I don't know if anyone has posted the traits of the POV characters in these flashbacks already but I think they're interesting, especially the childs.

Both of them have the same tattoo and the same stats:

Although the childs purity drops to 1 after sleeping with Winter.

And the parent has all the same traits as the child without the fox transformation (their only general trait is defiant):

Some thoughts about the ending under the cut:

Do they die? Genuine question.

They have a fox transformation meaning they mate for life and to me it seems like that first and final kiss was the nail in the coffin. It always hurts them when Winter leaves:

And then they share that kiss:

After they give that last bit of themselves Winter leaves for years and when they come back they are no where to be found. To me, they died in the cold because they were seperated from their mate.

They're in pain after Winter leaves for the last time:

I feel like if they were still alive they surely would have found Winter again when they came back?

Then after sleeping with Winter for the last time they're stats deterioate:

I'd guess they froze to death when they went trudging through the forest in winter.

However, nothing normal happens in this town when the sky is red so maybe something else happened:

But 'a memory you'll never be able to outlive' reads to me like they are dying.

Why can't anyone be happy in this fucking town man q.q

There's still a lot in this story that I'm curious about like the picture of a triquetra 'sealed' on their pubic area and the POV characters background as a whole.

Also why is Winter being gone a lot a benefit?

Surely they know that being apart from them would cause them pain? Why do it? Is it some form of self harm?

Genuinely interested in what peoples thoughts are of this.

I also just cut a bunch of speculation about the parent and child being the same person because 1) it could be a whole seperate post and 2) I don't know if I believe it myself (but I can post it if anyone wants to see it)
