It might seem cool to be part of the “exclusive gay kids club” online, but outside of tumblr, LGBT people are stereotyped at best, and stalked and killed at worst. Sure, we have pride parades and gay bars, but we live in fear of being shot and killed just for being there. There are certain countries I can’t even enter for fear of being executed because of my orientation. I just don’t understand why you would want to be in a community that inherently puts you in danger. Cishet aces and aros, you have a free pass from this kind of abuse. Why do you want to go through it?

My name is Nadin. I never imagined I would write something like this. I’ve always been someone who kept her worries quiet, someone who believed that even the hardest days could be endured with patience and faith. But right now, I am reaching out — not because I want to, but because I need to.

I am a wife, a mother, and one of many women in Gaza trying to survive days that feel like they have no end. There was a short time — a brief ceasefire — where we thought things might start to heal. Where the sound of war faded for just long enough to let us breathe. But that moment is gone now, and the fear has returned louder than before.

My days are filled with uncertainty, and my nights with prayer. We have lost so much. Our home was damaged, our sense of safety taken from us. But through all of this, I try to keep going. I try to hold on to what little peace I can create with my hands, my words, and my love.

I am not asking for much. Just a little help to keep our lives from falling further apart. To fix the small things — a cracked wall, a leaking roof, the pieces of daily life that help us hold on to dignity.

This campaign isn’t just about survival. It’s about holding on to what makes us human in a place that keeps trying to take that away. It’s about showing my daughter — even though I won’t mention her name here — that the world didn’t forget us.

im gonna be real if you stan justin trudeau i have many problems with you

this is a man who has done blackface, and his administration has been absolutely HORRIBLE to indigenous Canadians. Especially the Wet’suwet’en, who've been harassed by private security firms and the RCMP under Trudeau for asking that an oil pipeline not be built on THEIR land, and defending said land through peaceful protest.

i get it if you prefer him over the Tories (I certainly do), but if you stan him i am very suspicious of you

some UTAU fans on twitter said something fascinating that I'd never really considered before... they suggested that the reason Undertale AU fans started using the term "UTAU" in the first place was because of the Drop Pop Candy cover posted in November 2015:

it was (understandably) tagged "Utau" because that's literally the software used to make the vocals. but it seems that Undertale fans, not knowing what UTAU was, may have misinterpreted the tag to mean something Undertale-related, leading to the adoption of "UTAU" as a tag for Undertale AU...?

later that same month:

this quickly became a logistical nightmare for the UTAU community, which has been active since 2008, but is small enough to have been overwhelmed by the sheer size of the Undertale fandom.

i can't say with certainty that that's actually how it happened, but at any rate, please be considerate of the UTAU community and their tag! 🥺 as "UTAU" isn't actually an acronym-- it's a stylized writing of "utau" (歌う) "to sing"-- they don't have a lot of options to rearrange/rename the tag à la "undertale au," "UT-AU," etc.
