american leftists seem extremely focused on anti imperialism (good) but rarely- if at all- discuss decolonization in their own fucking country, despite acknowledging that it is a settler colonial state.

When we placed this Langstroth hive I didn't consider how much the weight of cherries would drag down the branches. It's going to be a little bit of a hassle to work on.

Do not let this empire toss away your humanity. Do not let this shit empire stop you from empathizing with the victims of American foreign policy.
America is a fascist state. Empathize with people they tell you are the enemy, the “radical” left and victims (people of color, muslims, those exploited by american capitalist interest) .
Moderates who are still pro fascism are still fascists. Those who are for this pointless war spurned by a genocidal imperial vassal state should not be trusted.
You are a human being. Every Muslim in Iran facing American bombs is being targeted for imperialist interests. Listen to a fucking leftist or the victims of imperialism.
You have more in common with them than those in power telling you Iranians are the enemy, as they’d gladly toss you aside, jail you, or kill you as well if you’re inconvenient. Biden starter the work to deport Pro Palestinian protestors and, well.
I could go on

kind of pathetic that people are genuinely and vivaciously deepthroating the now-dead animal that founded FedEx who, for years, collaborated with bought and paid members of congress to skirt unionization efforts and weaken labor laws and whose employees regularly drop dead on the job. a guy who once compared UPS to the fucking Soviet Army.
FedEx cited administrative and judicial rulings that its air service and the trucking operations that support it are essentially a single airline unit, and that, unlike the UPS structure, the FedEx Express trucking operations are totally dependent on its air business. FedEx also argued that the NLRA gives labor unions the power to call job actions within a city or a region, thus jeopardizing the reliability of the company's system-wide delivery operations.
FedEx said the change could trigger a $5 billion "hidden package tax" on shippers and consumers by forcing FedEx to implement costly contingency plans to deal with local work stoppages that could have a ripple effect across its network.
Frederick W. Smith, FedEx's chairman and CEO, warned that any change in the law would lead the company to cancel orders for up to 30 Boeing 777 freighters. The company insists that Smith's warning was not an idle threat.
what a hero this demon was, huh? another picture perfect example of how powerful corporate interests and greedy parasitic billionaires buy and manipulate american politicians for their own personal gain to the detriment of the average person and the average person swallows it all eagerly.

Grandpa's grape vines didn't just survive 25+ years of neglect. They're climbing the locust tree that would otherwise be shading them out. I really want to know what cultivar they are. Very hardy.

Farming, gardening, or just being in a situation where you can observe animal behavior and plant growth for long enough, will all show you what really is "natural" and "normal," regardless of what bigots claim those mean.
I feel like too many people have seen the carefully curated selection of produce at the grocery store and never realize that it's all been deliberately chosen for uniformity. Then, I suspect, they subconsciously assume that, in living beings, "deviation from the norm" is not actually an eternal part of the greater "norm."
Nature doesn't care how many bigots say "an [X] always [fits within this very narrow description]." Nature is broader, more complex, and more interesting than bigotry can constrain.

We have around 40 hens and only a handful of them would score lower than a 4 on the Kinsey scale. Very few of them don't just run from any drake who comes toward them. We do have one drake that the "more than incidentally heterosexual" gals don't mind (a big Silver Appleyard named "TV's Frank"), but that's probably because he almost always waits for one who bobs her head in return and starts "presenting" for him. The rest of the drakes will often get as awful as drakes can and the gals react appropriately.
A "gentle giant."

The other day I thought I heard the neighbors' "free-range" dog attacking one of our hogs so I grabbed my dispatch pistol here and sprinted around the barn to the rescue. Fortunately it was just two of the hogs squabbling over something and a trick of acoustics. I really hope we can afford to finish fencing our place soon. I don't want to ever have to shoot that dog.

I got myself a little .25 Hatsan Jet air pistol/carbine to complement my Air Venturi bullpup and it's pretty fun despite the small grip. I mounted a red light on the side for chasing coyotes and raccoons away from the coops at night.
I have to say I'm enjoying the air guns more than my firearms nowadays. I like not having to wear earpro while just target shooting and I'm really getting into precision shooting again. My Avenger was made for hunting so it's tuned for that. When all you're pushing is just a little .25 slug with air pressure your shot placement is crucial. I saw some videos of successful javelina/peccary hunts with my model, so I'm satisfied with its capabilities.
This thing isn't meant for that kind of accuracy but it's still fun to knock a rotten apple or two out of a tree with it.

with the protests in LA today and the violent federal and local pushback from police: we (me and my editor ryan fae) are accepting leaks, insider data, and public + leak archives relevant to ICE/DHS, LAPD, LASD, and anyone else that could shift the power of knowledge to the people if it were published.
in my words:
for now it's just minor archival data and some older data, but YOU can make a change to that.
we have three bits up already. the below article will be updated constantly. contact info at the bottom of the article. we promise anonymity and general source protection.

Reached out to a biologist to request some info about an extinct species of freshwater shrimp and the email she sent in response was not only lovely and helpful but also kind of poetry to me? People who study invertebrates are actually the most hopeful and compassionate scientists that we have.

We've learned that geese are not necessarily mean and aren't aggressive just for love of the game, so to speak. They're just animals that don't automatically defer to us. If you're cool and patient with them they're far more likely to be cool and patient with you.
(Ganders may very well typically be awful, but we're not familiar with them.)
