OKAY. FIRST POST AFTER THE NEW INTRODUCTION.
So, my sister has shown me that people made the game Portal 2 into a musical. I mean, not my thing, but cool. BUT THAT GOT ME DOING A THINKY THINK, AND NOW I'M WONDERING WHAT OTHER GAME WOULD BE LIKE. Most don't really seem all that possible. Undertale has the whole decisions thing going on, and also literal skeletons and dinosaurs. Animal Crossing doesn't really have a finite end, and it already has alternate media (the Animal Crossing movie). There's so many different directions in The Sims that it might be hard to choose a place to go in. And finally, I don't know HOW they would do costumes for Kirby without gjinka-fying them. And, while I'm all down for gjinkas, there's also the issue of HOW DOES KIRBY SWALLOW THEM. Then, I ran into one that I like, and wouldn't be too difficult, besides one aspect.
WEEGEE MANSION.
So, that. Do I know this probably won't happen because Nintendo copyrights are like GODS? Yes. I'm aware. But once I have an idea, it's hard to get me to not have that as my daydream material for the next few days. SO. Here's how I think that might work.
I'm working with the 3rd Luigi's Mansion because of two things.
I want interesting sets.
I want all of the boss ghosts to have their own songs.
Now, could we do that with the original? We could, but if ALL of them got their own song, along with a few others sprinkled in, then this play would be 7 hours long. Fun? Yes. Impractical? Definitely. And, I'm sorry, but I don't think people would want Dark Moon over 3, so 3 it is. I'm also thinking this play would have an intermission on the longer side, because if we're going accurate for costumes, especially if this happens in the summer, then they might need a longer time to relax. ESPECIALLY the tech crew.
You see, I said interesting sets, but I'll specify. I imagine there's this sorta cube in an out-of-the-way space. That's the elevator. Every time there's a giant scene change (say, going from basement to the fifth floor) Luigi will get in the "elevator", E Gadd will talk to him, and the lights will center on it, leaving the rest of the stage dark, giving the crew a longer times to change the set. Some will be longer than others, and that's that.
Then, possibly my favorite part of thinking of this, COSTUMES! Luigi and the gang are pretty easy, but everyone else is a little harder. By that, I mean they literally DON'T. HAVE. LEGS. Not seriously, but, you know. We can't exactly cut off everyone's legs, so we're gonna improvise. I say we go ALL OUT. Body paint, because all of the ghosts are super colorful! Recreate their outfits to the absolute closest you can! The regular ghosts dress in one, SINGLE color (the not-boss ghosts are the ensemble). The designers would have an absolute field day with this! But, there's a problem. The boos. Not just King Boo, but all of them. Of course, we don't really need to put every single boo in there, but they're just...spheres with eyes and mouths. Now, I see two options. We could go a Little Shop of Horrors route and make all of them giant props. Or, and here me out, extravagant costumes. Big, poofy outfits with tons of fabric! A crown that looks like it weighs 10 pounds (not one that actually weighs 10 pounds. That would be hard on anyone's head). Heck, give King Boo a fricking cape! NO LIMITS! Polterpup and Polterkitty? NO. USE ACTUAL TRAINED ANIMALS (use a giant prop for the parts where the cat turns into literal satan).
But, there's of course the whole poltergust happening. How's that gonna work? Well, I'm sure someone could think of something more creative, but here's my idea. You see, I'd say there's a sort of semi-opaque screen behind all of the set. And, there's gonna be a projection thingy. When a ghost is about to be caught, Luigi chases them behind it, and the projection-thingy shows a projection of a cartoony version of Luigi catching the ghost, and walking out the other end after it's done. Others could do stuff like go offstage and do that there, but yeah. Also, we don't need to think of what a poltergust would look like in real life. NINTENDO ALREADY MADE ONE!
I'm going to post a part two after this, where I kinda structure what it might be like if it's made, but this post is really long already, so yeah! See you all later!

Hi. Im revisiting my tumblr after, like, Idk. In that time, some stuff has changed from my first post. I've gotten older. Wiser. Not taller. So, I think a reintroduction is far overdue. So, here's that.
Hi! I'm Genuine Toasted Stupidity! I like drawing, Nintendo, and a whole load of other junk. So, yeah! Not really much to say. Bye!
