As an informed member of Gen Y living in Brisbane, Australia, it has become overtly apparent the actions of the government and major corporations are opposed to equality, community wellness and benefiting the public it is supposed to be serving. This blog is to inspire people to ask 'why'. When a Murdoch/Packer funded television programme pushes an argumentative viewpoint, when Abbott or a government cronie deems something an 'essential' or 'necessity', ask WHY!

WHY is it necessary to enforce data retention? WHY is the first assumption of someone wielding a gun a terrorist?

Before you accept, before you adopt a lasses-fair approach, before you shrug off one more politicians statement, ask WHY?

Be a critical thinker.

It is our duty, as an informed and intelligent public body of citizens to question our government, to fight for an equal and egalitarian country, to ask ourselves, "Without the media, without politicians telling me what to think, what do I think? Without outside influence, what would my perspective be?"

For too long we have been told how to think, which views and beliefs to uphold and support.

It is time for change, GenerationWHY.

It is time for revolution.
