It would be so nice if every few years queer tumblr didn’t do a, “this queer identity is more privileged than the rest of us and shouldn’t talk about their issues/shouldn’t even be in the community,” about another identity.
Since I’ve been here it’s been: nonbinary people, bisexual people, asexual and aromantic people, polyamorous people, pansexual people, people who only use the word queer for their identity, trans men/mascs, and intersex people. At least. I might’ve missed something.
We’re stronger together. We all need space to discuss our experiences and all deserve not to be spoken over.

It’s been really heartwarming to see just how wonderful my coworkers have been literally from the get go regarding my coming out and transition. They’ve been so wonderful and kind and I’m constantly giddy and lighthearted knowing that they’re such great people.
I’m so incredibly lucky, and I wish that everyone else going through this could have such a supportive environment as they go through such a challenging time in their lives.
A note on my coming out talk with Michelle last October: yes, that conversation happened. It was an absolute riot and the moment I got home I immediately told my wife as that was, like, the funniest damn thing ever.
Michelle and I are both prone to be goofs, and this was a top tier, absolute A-Class goofy moment.
Love you, Michelle, keep being awesome!

The last days of the petition against conversion therapy are FASCINATING to watch. I have been following it pretty closely for almost a year now, and the progress was, above all, steady. There was this jump when some algorithm in Finland picked it up, but even that was local.
And now, everyone is panicking.
Which really shows.
These past three or four days, multiple countries have reached the threshold. Even more notably, the number of signatures in total, the ones that we need to get one million of, are growing rapidly. There are only 400'000 signatures missing. Two days ago, it was closer to 600'000.
You can see the progress here:
Consider joining the fun by making everyone around you sign it!

ok so i was stalking the accounts of people who recently liked my posts as i so often do and i found one where the person put their pronouns in their bio and apologized for it being annoying. first of all, absolutely no hate to them, and if they ever see this i want them to know i'm so proud of them for having the courage to put themself out there like that. however i also want to tell them and everyone who may be struggling with the same thing it is NOT being annoying to ask for respect and basic human decency!! having someone refer to you by your preferred pronouns is not a privilege you get in exchange for being nice and polite, provided, of course, that the other person is feeling generous today. it is a basic human right. when it comes to your identity and your rights, you do not owe other people comfort. if they won't use your correct pronouns because it's "annoying," that doesnt mean you're being annoying. it just means they're an asshole.
anyway that was my rant for today thank you 💚

hate how afab and amab have become the woke male and female, instead of language to help us dismantle inherent arbitrariness of the sex binary

[ID: Fifteen edits of the Bugs bunny “I wish all a very pleasant day” meme. They are edited to include the trans flag on his left side. They read:
“I wish all trans men, trans women, nonbinaries, genderfluids, demiboys and demigirls, agenders, and more a very pleasant trans visibility day.” This edit includes the flags for the identities listed.
“I wish all straight, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, ace, aro, omni, polyamorous, etc. trans people a very pleasant trans visibility day.” This edit includes the flags for the identities listed.
“I wish all intersex people who identify with the trans label a very pleasant trans visibility day.” This edit includes the intersex flag.
“I wish all autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent trans people a very pleasant trans visibilitiy day.” This edit includes the red words “(happy autism acceptance month! light it up red)”
“I wish all Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, and other religious trans people a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all trans POC, especially Black and indigenous trans people, a very pleasant trans visibility day.” This edit includes the inclusive LGBT poc flag, as well as a trans flag with a brown and black fist.
“I wish all disabled or chronically ill trans people a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all fat trans people, hairy trans people, and trans people who don’t “pass” a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all it/its pronoun users, neopronouns users, and people who use pronouns that don’t “match” their gender a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all trans people with little or no gender dysphoria a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all trans people who are in the closet a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all trans people who haven’t transitioned and/or don’t plan to a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all questioning trans people/people who aren’t sure if they’re trans a very pleasant trans visibility day.”
“I wish all people who don’t use labels for themselves a very pleasant whatever you’re comfy with.”
“I wish all trans people a very pleasant you are wonderful, valid, and loved <3” /End ID]
heard it was trans day of visibility
(edit: my wording of “trans POC, especially Black and indigenous trans people” was poor, and i apologize. i wish all trans POC a pleasant trans visibility day, and i wish all trans BIPOC a pleasant trans visibility day.)

Are YOU gonna let THE GOVERNMENT tell YOU what YOUR GENDER is? That doesn't sound like Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness to me! PROTECT your individual FREEDOMS and call your senator: we want the GOVERNMENT to stay OUT OF OUR PANTS! GENDER FREEDOM NOW!
