Facts about Susanne (i.e., hobbies/interests)?

Susanne !

She's a good friend of Geraldine, they met during the university years. she was a member of Geraldine's music group. She played the drums.

In the first version of the comic, she used to be really relax and calm, almost to an extreme point. But I opted something more "dynamic" in contrast to Geraldine. Now, she's giving the best she have to meditate, giving way more energy than what she needs to.

She always try to find her inner peace, which is always funny when you're someone who loves hard rock and metal music. She's the most dynamic and relaxed girl you can find, and know a lots about tea and essential oil. This, and she also use and believe in therapeutic rocks and gems for healing. Don't worry, she's a pharmacist, she know what she's doing.

Other than that, she's quite nice, and wants to find solution to any problems.

What’s your favourite comic your have made?

With Geraldine & Mona ? Oh, i sure have a bunch :' ) !

I really like the one where Geraldine and Mona have this argument between new and old game. Basically, I noticed how my siblings are playing remake of games I used to play when I was a kid, it was fun.

The one where Chloe tell Mona to eats more apple to make the doctor away, and Mona ends up to have an apple indigestion. (Also, I love the expression she does, I love to play with funny faces :' ) )

And I'm super proud of the background on this one. It was long to do, but super worth it. Pages are taking me a little more time to make since I'm trying to add more background in them, but I think it's for the better.

I think I have a lot more, including comics I'm making right now that you'll see later in the year (That I cannot reveal for now) but overall, it's good to work on it ^^ !

Does Geraldine have any hobbies?

She does !

Back in her youth, she used to play guitar. She even was in a group ! Now, sure, nowadays, she no longer goes on stage, since she has a job and a child. She's busy with life.

That said, she still has that guitar, and she's still good at it ! Geraldine do have a good musical side.

She also have a geek side. She may not show it much, but she's a video-game enjoyer, mainly nintendo games (She's a Mario fan, loves Pikmin, tried some mainline Zelda, and she kinda knows how to crack a Wii.) This, and she used to plays a lot of RTS on PC back in the day.Not that she has a lot of time to play any kind of game nowadays, but she enjoy a little break from time to time. She kind of have a good pop culture knowledge, and she would happily share any kind trivia with her daughter.

She likes reading too ! Any kind, novel, Sci-Fi, fantasy. She also have a lots of french comics that she tries to get Mona into. (Like Astérix, Gaston Lagaffe and other)

She's recently trying to get into Yoga, and more sports in general. Not that she's good at it, she kinda avoids sports for a long time. (But she's always busy and dynamic, don't you worry, she has the sports of trying to get everything together in her house/life/job.)

Also, huum... It would be lying to say she doesn't like food. She LOVES food. Now it doesn't mean she eats unhealthy, far from it ! Sure, there's cookies and coffee and tasty things overall, but she eats her fruits and vegetable, and she's always keeping an eye on her daughter's diet as well. They have a balanced alimentation. Even though she sure has a huge sweet tooth.

The most important things of all though is to having some time to play and care about Mona. She may have a lot of work to do, but when she can, she just want her daughter to be happy : ).

Overall, she knows how to pass her day ^^.

Can we see some quick/ rough sketches of Geraldine & Mona that you want to show? Perhaps an opinitunity to some fun ideas or trivia that’s been floating in your head.

Well, I do have some sketch on my side, but to be honest, most of them are really rough. I prefer to show cleaned things.

But okay, for this time, for the trivia side, I do have some stuff !

These are some of the very first sketch of Geraldine, back in 2019 (Because even if I only revealed her in 2020, I've started to imagined her in fall 2019).

As most of you know, she's initially inspired by Gertrude from IHF, but I wanted a character to work on full time. And personality wise, she used to be quite grumpy. But as you know, I immediately changed it in the end. I wanted a softer and more sympathetic character.

On the other side, I have a lots of stuff, most of it are either WIPS for future pages, or really random things. (And it's written in french, because I rarely translate things in my sketchbook.)

Happy Easter !

Mona found every easter eggs, and even a cameo ! Chloe is there by obligation, and regret intensely the bunny suits, and her mother is going to show that pictures a lot :' ). Geraldine is just glad that Mona is having a good time ^^ ! Everyone enjoyed the sweets in the end.

Geraldine works a lot on her computer. It may not look like that, but she's working a lot. She doesn't always have time to rest. So, when she has a break time, Mona try her best to makes her comfortable for a nice relax time. And by that, it means playing some video games with some cookies and hot chocolate/coffee. Not gonna lie, it's the best thing for them.

Trio of friends, enjoying their favorites drink. It's Woman's day, let's talk about them !

Geraldine is and will always be into coffee. That's how she's able to accomplish anything in the day. With one sugar or two cookies, she's more than ready to do what she must that day ! She maybe has gained a bit of weight theses last year , but don't underestimate her energy ! And hey, you need energy to raise a child who has more energy than you. And being soft is a plus when hugs are part your mother life.

Well, Susanne is more into Tea. She always try to find her inner peace, which is always funny when you're someone who loves hard rock and metal music. Camille on the other side, is a cold drink enjoyer. Every kind of juice, she likes. Her daughter Chloe even tried to do lemonade, just like her ! But she's still not good at it. Divorced, she takes care of her two children in shared custody with their father, with the oldest living with his father. Childhood friend with Geraldine, she's a close friend who doesn't hesitate to say the honest things, even if it's the harsh truth.

Quand tu profites un petit peu trop des soldes après la St Valentin.

When the Post-Valentine's Day's sales are a little too good for you.

Once again, Geraldine had to enjoy St Valentine when it's over, when the best sales are there ! And really, who can blame her ? It's like, half the usual prices, the chocolates are delicious, it's multi-flavored and all you have to do is to indulge yourself a little bit. So it's all good !

...Don't worry, she did give some to Mona ! That said, Mona doesn't know about the dozens boxes left, so...

It's Chandeleur again ! Which side are you in ? Pancakes or Waffles ?

Because, as you maybe know, Mona is Team Pancakes, no doubt on that. Chloe, on the other side, is Team Waffles ! And a good one on that. Similarly to Mona, she sure can make really great waffles. On the other hand, they can't decide which is better. They're desserts rivals in some way ! Now, who'll taste this to know which one is better is still to decide. Geraldine and Camille should be good candidates, but they're not ready for this much culinary delicacy.

Do you know how many traditional dishes you can find at Christmas?

Between the turkey with chestnuts, the log, the mashed potatoes and that, not to mention the hors d'oeuvres and petit fours throughout the meal! Finally, if you take the time to prepare all this, because hey, it's not for nothing. Moreover, panettone, which is mainly a large brioche in fact, often with dried fruit, but nothing prevents you from finding one with chocolate instead, was considered dessert in the old days. But it's considered light compared to the rest, so it has become a snack or even breakfast dish.

In short, it's ideal after the holidays, but to still stay a little in the Christmas spirit... assuming you haven't eaten everything else before, because otherwise, you end up like Mona. You don't have any more room.

Savez-vous le nombre de plats traditionnels que l'on peut trouver à Noël ?

Entre la dinde aux marrons, la bûche, les purées de pommes de terres et ça, sans compter les hors d'oeuvres et les petits fours tout au long du repas ! Enfin, si vous y mettez le temps de préparer tout ça, car bon, c'est pas pour rien. D'ailleurs, le panettone, qui est surtout une grosse brioche en fait, souvent avec des fruits secs, mais rien ne vous empêche d'en trouver un avec du chocolat à la place, c'était considérer comme desserts dans le temps. Mais c'est considérer léger comparer au reste, du coup, c'est devenue un plat de gouter voir petit-déjeuner.

En bref, c'est l'idéal après les fêtes, mais pour rester quand même un peu dans l'esprit de Noël... à supposer que vous n'avez pas mangé tout le reste avant, car sinon, vous finissez comme Mona. Z'avez plus de place.

It's still not December yet, but I'm not sure I'll be able to post something during the holidays.

So here's the Christmas stuff, Mona is sure enjoying this time of the year ! 

The cookies, the gift, the good times with the family, the cookies, the trick she do with her fish, hugging the best toy she got at Christmas when she was a child, the cookies, the socks too big for her but still pretty neat... did I mention cookies ? Geraldine made too many cookies. but they look like little Christmas tree, it need to be eaten !

(Also, sorry for the delay, just come back from convention. I sold multiples Geraldine & Mona book to people, it was super great !)

Il y'a la team de ceux qui fête Halloween tout le mois d'octobre, et ceux qui fêtent Noël dès le début du mois de novembre. Et par fêter, c'est-à-dire se mettre à porter des gros pulls au motif improbable, boire du chocolat chaud, et des couvertures chaudes sur le canapé tout en regardant des films de noël.

Ah, et le stress de de voir trouver des cadeaux, de tout organiser et tout et tout... Mais hé ! Quand t'es petit, c'est surtout les gros pulls et les cadeaux : ).

There is the team of those who celebrate Halloween throughout the month of October, and those who celebrate Christmas from the beginning of November.
