If we try to look in our current era we can infer that day by day our way of life changes as technologies advances, this technological advancement causes the discoveries of the most useful and efficient way for people to communicate and in exchanging information just like the discovery of the new media. But we can’t never exactly know if in the future or in the following decades print and broadcast media can completely be replaced by the new media, even if new media can successfully replace the old-fashioned media the uses and importance of this type of media would never vanish in peoples mind, it may get replaced by new media but it will remain it’s legacy to people and if by chance it really gets replaced in the future then it will only remain as an amazing discovery and part of the history. Maybe in the future we never knew as our technology progresses and becomes even more advance that it can already defeat the uses and purpose of print and broadcast media then maybe this is the time where people can start to accept the fact that our world is already controlled by this high-tech machines.

But those are just possibilities since even today we can observe that print and broadcast media have a great value and importance and has a great influence to fully compete with the new media especially when it comes to the credibility of the information’s and also many advertisement companies utilizes the use of this old-fashioned media since it targets a wide range of people especially the old folks. And if we try to pounder about new media directly replacing the print and broadcast media without informing the public then it is surely that many people will disagree and will make a commotion because there are many people who prefer print and broadcast media over new media. But people’s preferences can change so maybe five years from now peoples preference may change with the use of media as our world rapidly advances then new media can prove its usefulness and efficiency so it can fully replace print and broadcast media and the old-fashioned media will only be just a part of our history.

In the midst of this social era where overflowing information’s are very accessible to anyone, anywhere in different social media platforms we can't never know if the information we are dealing with is valid or not. So, we must possess the right skill that will let us know how to deal with this overflowing information’s. We people must all know that information literacy is one of the most essential life skill that every individual must master because it’s not only limited to the four walls of our classrooms, ones we graduate we will still bring this skill and even in the last breath of our life we will bring this skill. Information literacy forms the basis for lifelong learning, thus this will help us people when it comes to making wise decisions and will foster our critical thinking skills and will keep us up-to-date about the trends and issues in this era. Information literacy is a part of our life, it’s a requirement for life, and if you do not want to be information literate then you are not a human being because you don’t want a skill that will let you take part in this social era.

So what I am saying is that information literacy is relevant in the midst of this social era in the sense that it can help us to intertwined in this era wherein information’s is just one click from the internet, it will give the right skills that will let us hop in in this era. We can’t deny the fact that in this era technologies gradually advances and information becomes even more and more accessible to anyone, and as this information advances we can never knew what is a right and reliable information so as we people access this vast information’s we must learn how to classify and thoroughly evaluate it thus requiring a lifelong learning skill that will enable and help us interpret this information’s. Thus, educating ourselves and mastering how to be information literate individual in a midst of this social era will greatly help us to participate and take advantage in this era and not just in this era but in the rest of our lives and in the following eras.

In order to survive one must adapt, in our current age where new media dominates traditional media and technologies become the best medium through which various media forms is displayed and through which the internet controls the flow of vast information we people should learn to adapt and possess a skill that will enable and empower us to efficiently and effectively expand our knowledge on how to access, understand, evaluate, use , create and share information and media contents using various tool in an effective and ethical manner. Being a media and information literate will help people to survive in our current age because it will help people to possess all the essential competencies and skills to engage effectively, efficiently and ethically with all this media and information systems. Media and information literacy is very essential in our daily lives because it will help us understand and use information correctly and apply it in our daily life. We can't deny the fact that having the ability to participate and engage in this new age is one of the most essential survival skill that every individual must possess. Everything around us is becoming more and more advance with technology as this things becomes more advance we people should also evolve and possess the right abilities to cope with this advancement.

We can’t deny the fact that media information literacy is a crucial and powerful skill that every individual must possess. Every day we spend most of our time scrolling, surfing, and acquiring different information in various media forms through our digital devices, especially in our current situation where we are in the state of pandemic ang each of us should be wary, aware, and be updated in the current situations and issues happening in our world. Every day we consume various information especially as a student in this time of pandemic we can’t deny the fact that every day we spend most of our time in front of our devices acquiring different information’s for us to make use and cope with our online classes. But most of the time we entangled with many nonsense, and irrelevant information’s thus consuming most of our time and making us less productive. But being a media and information literate individual will help us gain advantage in dealing with this kind of irrelevant information’s and will help us to easily navigate and extract all the necessary and factual information’s thus making us more productive individual. This is why being a media and information literate person is very important and essential in our current time because it will help us to become more literate, wiser, responsible and productive individual.
