thinking about how Gerri Kellman is a horny mastermind

- how incredible must it have felt to be able to berate one of these men (especially *THIS* babyman) after thirty fucking years of leering and undermining and misogyny at this company (we can only imagine)

some of my gerri headcanons :

She grew up in Kentucky. The sort of upper middle class where she didn’t have to worry about much of anything. Her accent is long faded, she made an effort since Highschool to lose it.

She hasn’t spoken to her family in a long while. She went no contact halfway through university and hasn’t looked back.

Baird Kellman was twice Gerri’s age truther.

Gerri loved Baird, truly and fully. She wouldn’t have married him if she didn’t. The Waystar executive floor is full of rumors about her marrying him to climb the ladder because it was very apparent that Gerri has always loved her work more. They were very much the same in that regard.

Gerri didn’t want to be a mother. She has never been particularly fond of children and maternal instinct didn’t come naturally to her. At the time she and Baird got married and started talking about children her career was in its infancy, and there was an underlying anxiety that being a mother would kill it. She had no interest in children originally, ( This is not to say she regrets having them, she doesn’t. She loves her girls and if given the choice to do it again she would. ) and only really started connecting with the girls after they had moved out and started making lives for themselves.

To add to that: she wasn’t a good mother. While not abusive the way Logan was with the Roy kids, but she was neglectful. Our girl is a textbook workaholic. She missed many of the girls milestones and important childhood functions ( sports events, dance recitals, competitions. ) This was never done with malicious intent but it was extremely noticeable.
