A howling cackling could be heard fading off into the distance as the warden went on his way.
"You and Thresh" (idk what I'm doing anymore)
"Mmmhmhmm… Thresh.." he purrs to himself and holds his chin in thought of something "… He is of my type.. but I highly doubt he’d even notice.. or hear me… I hope is isnt hearing this— fuck”

"What do you need my help for if those souls escape? I can always capture them in my lantern but I didn't think that flooding the countryside with evil spirits would be of a great concern to you," said Thresh with mild boredom in his tone.

"I might have a few but they're for the use of the Isles. However for you, I'll see which one I can rip out of my lantern." Any of the many souls over his centuries of collecting them would do. He just wouldn't give up Senna. It taunted Lucian too much to show him his wife's face and the pain on that man's face was delicious.
His lantern floated before him, bobbing up and down lightly. A whisper that sounded like a panicked crowd screaming at a distance could be heard as Thresh reached into it and dragged someone's unfortunate soul from the prison.
"Here," he said as he held the screaming spirit out to the lich.

With a growl and half-hearted swipe at the escaping necromancer Thresh stood up straight again. Every so often Karthus didn't allow for him to have his fun and despite liking the fuss and fighting it did on occasion irk him.
"Don't you have some spell that can just magic the doors open? I know those spells exist. I've seen them in use. You can't need a spellbook for something so simple. I don't believe that for an instant. Or is there more to this seal than what appears to be?"

"Well then. I thought that the rule was not to kiss and tell but if it's from other people what is it called then?"
"Just because there is someone with the same name as I have that does not mean I own a farm!
No, Karma, you cannot have a horse. Go get your Epona somewhere else!”

"You make it too easy to do so Deathsinger," hissed Thresh, pulling the struggling mage closer and hissing the last word into his ear as he bent forward just slightly. He did so love to remind the lich that he was undoubtedly dominant whenever he could. "What are you looking for exactly? A secret book of love poems? Tales of romance and valor? You seem like the closeted romantic type."
He chuckled at his own joke and moved his head to best observe the lich's reaction to the assumptions. Toying with Karthus was never boring when he was already in a tear of his own making.

With a last look at the place he had ruled over for so many years in life, Thresh moved towards the source of the sounds, keeping to the shadows and dimming the glow from himself for stealth. Once he got close enough, a silver ring was slipped onto his thumb and activated. Where once a horror of the Shadow Isles stood there now was a man in his early thirties or possibly late twenties. The thought that he should have just done this earlier crossed his mind but it was too late now. He sneaked along until he got to the cathedral's main entrance and checked for traps. None were visible but magical ones were still available and it made the warden pause for a few seconds before diving through the doorway.
"Well... seems Karthus thinks he's safe out here in the boondocks," chuckled Thresh as he made his way towards a staircase and closer to the increasingly aggravated sounds. "Is he throwing things?"
Thresh hurried along until he came to the loudest sounding room in the building. With caution, the lich might decide to start flinging spells, he peeked around the corner. Karthus wasn't facing the door but was instead muttering over a pile of his things and alternating digging into it and tossing objects aside for throwing his hands in the air and screeching. With a stifled chuckle Thresh crept up on the mage and wrapped him in a secure hold, binding his arms to his sides and breathing into the space where his ears should have been.

The Past Remains
"So, this is what your home looks like." Thresh muttered the words as he wandered through the centuries old husk of what once had been a bustling market village. The buildings still standing had scorch marks and even through the damp and decay the occasional whiff of burning could be smelled. It was faint upon the breeze but still there even with the almost overwhelming smell of the marshlands invading his nostrils. He wandered aimlessly for a time, finding his way without even trying to, without even meaning to, to the burned out skeleton of a huge stone building, one of the biggest structures in the whole of the place.
"Ah fond memories," said Thresh, voice above a whisper but not by much as he looked upon the building's facade. It had once been a correctional center and jailhouse in one. That was the official usage of it on government forms at any rate. To anyone that had ever been sentenced to time in that facility they knew differently.
He looked upon his old prison and sighed.

"Another Thresh?" Ehnita bowed to him. "I am honored to meet another of your forms, Warden. I am Ehnita."
"Hm? Oh. Another mortal. Your soul should suffice regardless. Come here."

Thresh sighed dramatically and squeezed Karthus closer as he spoke, only partly out of affection and mostly to prevent the mage from waving his arms about to cast spells. "Yes, yes. A woman scorned and all that."
He barely stopped himself from cackling.
"Hello love."
Before karthus could say anything sarcastic or snarky. He froze at the word ‘love’. His own word caught at the back of his throat. “E-excuse me?”

"Know this and know it well Karthus, unless I say otherwise then I want you. I might play with you but until further notice that is one absolute truth from me." He tilted the lich's face up to look at him. "Am I being understood?"
