This is a pixel animation I made of a chicken on a skateboard. I am very proud of how it came out and think it's pretty fun :)

Here are a couple of pieces I created for ARS 225 at Stonybrook University this past fall semester! It was a very fun class, and I feel that it really taught me a lot about working with digital art as a medium and as a form of expression.

ARS 255 assignment #1: show and tell

The first artist I chose is Gabriel Picolo

he is a comic artist and illustrator most well known for his work on the teen titans graphic novels. I chose this artist because I enjoy his comic book art style and the way he uses a darker atmosphere in his pieces. I also enjoy the way he is able to construct lively scenes and environments to place his characters in.

next I chose the instagram artist blueasrai

I chose this artist because I enjoy the use flight and color in their pieces. Even though their art style is somewhat cartoony, the contrasts of light and shadow in each piece adds an impressive level of detail that I really enjoy. I also like how beautifully the colors in each piece work together.

For my third artist I chose is another instagram artist who goes by the username cinnamon_mushroom

I chose this artist because I love his simple yet expressive their art style is. It feels right out of a storybook, with very light line work and vibrant colors. Each piece is also drawn using a unique tool that makes it look as though it were painted or drawn with oil pastels, which I find makes the art unique and interesting to look at.
