Thanks for all of the recent feedback around Community Labels being incorrectly applied to content. In particular, we appreciate the input we’ve received from the LGBTQIA+ community and understand the frustrations from folks who felt that their content was unfairly labeled. When we realized this was happening, we immediately investigated and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

The LGBTQIA+ community makes up about a quarter of the Tumblr community. It is important for us to support all Tumblr users, especially those whose safe spaces are under threat in certain parts of the world.

As you know, alongside of the rollout of Community Labels we also expanded the types of content allowed on Tumblr as a way to welcome more creativity, art, and self-expression. Our goals remain the same today. Human error happens and we apologize to anyone who has been impacted by these mistakes.

Some weird Deer Teeth stories I made up:

in the late 1600's, a woman named Cecilia decided to go hunting with her arranged husband, Ranquel, and he allowed her! When she went to go get berries, she came back with a basket full, but her husband mistook her for a deer and shot her. He then realized who it was, and went to check up on her. No surprise, she was dead. Then, for no apparent reasoning, he ripped out her teeth and replaced the bleeding gaps with deer teeth! And for each one he replaced, he ate a berry.

In 1875, a woman and man happily married. But the man didn't know of her strange habits. When the husband died of led poisoning and she became a widow, she then went insane, took the displayed deer head off the wall, and began to stress eat it's teeth. But then she died from eating it. It's also a curse for anyone who wants to sell deer teeth, for they will uncontrollably eat the deer teeth.

In 1923, the Wendlys house was set on fire by a group of teenagers. That group of teens turned out to be a deer teeth cult. The Wendlys were also kidnapped by the cult, and forced to join them. They always ate one deer tooth before going to bed, in claims that "The Deer Teeth God will reunite us with heaven and we will be complete", they quoted. The buildup of deer teeth clogged up their stomach, and the cult soon died, only for it to go on when other teenagers find out about about it.
