Engaging in knitting has revealed a great deal about my own nature. Beyond the skills of creation, I have discovered the influence of my mindset. I've come to realize that I am the source of my own turmoil.

It's impossible to point fingers at others for the negative thoughts I harbor. We are all aware that what we think, we inevitably accept as truth. For me, each sweater stands as a clear testament to this reality—a constant reminder to be mindful of my words.

I often find myself rolling my eyes ��� at my own behavior… seriously, who do you think you're talking to, Gaye!?

Last weekend I was in Tulsa to reveal the Spring Hot Loops wall. A wall with tons of orange built in my honor. Add the surprise at the airport and the was the best weekend ever!!

I am not sure if I ever shared this with you all. I grew up in Alabama projects and my mom was on welfare. I am sharing this because even though we didn't have much, my mom would never let anyone go hungry. I was her only child , but many nights other kids were at the dinner table.

I dreamt about a young man my mother took in this morning. His name was Jr and in the dream he was telling someone how he never had to worry about food because of my Mom. She has been gone 10 years and that reminder made me smile.

I grabbed my phone and the first thing I saw on Instagram was a post about the Knit for food Knit-a-thon. Now I had donated to this cause already, but today I felt like I needed to join in honor of my Mommy. Gale would feed the people and I feel like I should too
