StanXeno are Gen's parents AU but there's a problem with Sengen:
Gen: We discussed this a little and we collectively decided to leave our second name as Ishigami-Asagiri
Stanley: No.
Gen: But why???
Xeno: Yeah, Stanley! Why?
Stanley: Gen's already Asagiri-Snyder-Wingfield. Do you want him to be Ishigami-Asagiri-Snyder-Wingfield now?
Xeno: Oh.
Gen: Well, it doesn't work that way, y'know!
Senku: No-no! He has a point! People already joking about you collecting second names as treasure.
Stanley: And don't get me started on that Ryusui guy.
Gen: Ohhhh.... Wait. Please don't-
Stanley: What will happen if he finally gets that fancy polyamory he wants so bad?
Xeno: That would a catastrophe!
Senku: Yeah. He-he
Gen: Don't you dare! I know what you want to say!!
Senku: What's up, Gen Ishigami-Asagiri-Nanami-Snyder-Wingfield?
Stanley: Pfff-...
Gen: You two are the errible-tay! I can believe you've tried to kill each other during our first trip to America!
Xeno: Oh what found memories. Come to think of it. You and your team was elegant. How did you call yourselfs? Five generals?
Gen: I have a bad feeling about this...
Senku: PFFFFT! HA-HA-HA! Imagine if we all married!? What kind of a second name would that be, aye, mentalist?
Gen: No. Shut up. Shut up right now!
Stanley: siiiiiiign What the matter? You don't like being Ishigami-Asagiri-Nanami-Sayonji-Chrome-Snyder-Wingfield?
Everyone laughs expect from Gen
Gen: I want a divorce. And to be an orphan again

You guys wanna know something funny. Senku was most likely the one that put gen or suggested gen to be the diplomat.(Ignore me spelling diplomat wrong.)
Also I'm saying this again I'm most likely going to be posting traditional art from now on because I lost my phone and my digital pen and I'm currently using a very old phone.

Mozu 's bi awakening featuring Ryusui trying to third wheel with his whole "I want it!"
Also note how Mozu looks at Gen, man just had his bi awakening and is already thinking about taking Gen to bed.
Then there's Senku. In that panel Suika, Chrome and Soyuz look scared, but Senku looks annoyed/pissed. He's probably thinking "dude stop thinking about how my boyfriend is in bed."

Also Chrome calling Gen bratty is so freaking hilarious 😂

I have this stupid silly HC for @fieryjeanne's and @ambdlc03's American!Gen where Senku was a bit.... freaky around Gen. They have this tension that the others can't explain and it was weirding everyone out especially with how flirty Senku was around Gen.
Gen reciprocates the advances but he honestly doesn't care that much until the mission was over in which he actually realized he might've had feelings for Senku.. of course it was too late since Stanley already shot him.
He feels guilty but it was needed.. of course that's when he decided to stay and help them since Senku doesn't deserved that. Senku is still freaky with him tbh.. the idea of Senku being the flirty one while Gen is the one who's weirded out is so funny to me. It's like those flirty heroes.
CHAT THIS IS JUST SMTH SILLY I THOUGHT OF CAUSE IT WAS FUNNY... especially with the fact that Senku is canonically a pervert 😭🙏 it's funny ok 😓

Okay I know that in general the readings I’ve seen about the gifting of the observatory are mainly romantic, and the main idea is that Gen is confessing his love, and that this opens the doorway to a potential romantic relationship between them. BUT!!! I think I have finally made sense of it all in the way that I think it was supposed to be read. As I used to think it didn’t serve a purpose so it had to be romantic in nature. Right???? (to be clear it made sense during the first time I read it, but has since been skewed in my mind to a shipping angle to end up at this point of not recognizing the actual purpose of this scene for the characters and the readers) The rest under the cut because this got long lol

sengen 56 chapter
I want to talk about chapter 56 because it it incredibly significant. This whole observatory story is one of the most important in the development of Senku’s character and his relationships with other people. And it would be truly illogical to reduce it all to some simple romantic infatuation. Sengen’s feelings go much further than a petty romance, and here is why.
*was inspired by this post
Let’s start from the beginning. Magma blindfolds Senku and brings him to all the villagers. Things are really unsightly, and Senku naturally comes to the conclusion that Gen has persuaded all the villagers to bring his head on a plate to Tsukasa. Hence it can be assumed that Senku had such thoughts before, and he admitted the possibility that Gen could raise the whole village against him. Senku is right that Gen could raise the whole village since he has no less power over the villagers than Senku himself does, but he is wrong with the fact that Gen would want to go against him. He didn’t know his motives and even though Senku chose the “as long as you are on my side, let’s just be friends” strategy, he was wary of Gen. That is, he did not trust either Gen or the villagers completely. The fake speech of Magma, who was just trying to make Senku angry and let go of his hand so as not to die together, immediately becomes real in Senku’s head, and does not help the situation at all.
Tumblr media
Gen immediately calms Senku down, saying “I swear I haven’t a clue what you’re on about”, because he never had any thoughts of rebelling against Senku. On the contrary, his uttermost devotion can be admired. The blindfold is removed, and instead of a bloody betrayal, a view of Saturn opens up to Senku’s eyes, followed by the view of the whole observatory. And then Senku mentally transfers to his childhood, remembering his main dream - to go to space. This is how Gen shows that he sees Senku. He sees the great scientist Senku, and the highschooler Senku, and the child admiring his father Senku. He sees his wishes, ambitions, desires, he sees what brings him happiness and fills him with inspiration, he can hear what Senku’s heart says.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gen also sees that it will be difficult for Senku to cope with emotions after such an event, so he begins to chat about everyday things so that Senku finds support amid such an emotional shock, feels more comfortable and has time to gather his thoughts.
Tumblr media
Senku clings to this opportunity and continues the conversation in his pragmatic manner. However, here is another Gen’s revelation waiting for him. Gen says that he remembers the date of his release from the stone and he counted the days to find out his birthdate. He once again shows that he can see the real Senku, and thus makes it clear how much Senku means to him and to all the villagers. How much he believed in him, even before he met him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To make it a “fair deal”, Gen opens his heart to Senku in return, allowing him to see his real self. Formerly we saw Gen as a fickle opportunist, a dark horse, a vile greedy man, a traitor, a self proclaimed “the most selfish man on earth”. But right here he’s telling Senku almost straight up, that this has never been true. That he is by Senku’s side not because of pros and cons but because of true likelinesses, admiration and respect.
Tumblr media
He cracks his mask with his own hands, allowing Senku to see into his heart as well. It’s like he’s saying, “I trust you completely, so please trust me too.” This scene means so much because after it Senku gains 10,000% confidence and trust in Gen and the villagers, he can not doubt their loyalty for a millimeter anymore. And this is incredibly important for the development of the plot.
Gen’s words gave Senku so much faith in himself and in the success of the Kingdom of Science that Senku literally changed as a person overnight.
After this conversation, he is noticeably getting closer with the villagers. He even gives them all something like “high five”, although physical contact has never been his thing.
Tumblr media
And communication with the Gen becomes a hundred times warmer, and Senku keeps showing and showing that now he also trusts Gen for all ten billion percent. He trusts him to work in the laboratory, and drive a car, and a tank, and he plays along with Gen’s schemes even if he doesn’t know much about it, and he even doesn’t mind when Gen starts analyzing him.
Tumblr media
So it is truly illogical to call this scene a romantic confession when it is the greatest anthem of trust and devotion. When it is a masterpiece of subtle analysis and mastery of Gen’s smooth talking. When it’s an oath to stay until the very end, no matter what happens. When it is an expression of admiration and respect coming from the heart. When is the moment where they both let each other into the innermost corners of their souls.

Asagiri Gen's Hidden Talents
Can we just talk about how stunning Gen is? How many unique abilities and skills does he possess? And why is no one paying attention to it even though it's so absolutely amazing?
1)Let's start with the fact that he was able to track down Senku at first. Have you ever wondered how he did it so quickly and accurately? Alone? In the jungle? In an unfamiliar area?
We don't know the exact distances, but in chapter 90 we were shown that Tsukasa’s Empire is somewhere near Tokyo, and the Kingdom of Science is south of Mount Fuji (possibly near the cities of Ito or Izu). The distance is about 90-130 kilometers.
Tumblr media
Before Senku noticed Kohaku’s smoke signals, he had not seen people in the area for almost a year. The inhabitants of Ishigami village are quite reserved and it is very problematic to find their traces. But Gen, who knows only an approximate description and general direction, managed to find the way without a guide, without professional tools and with very few traces in like ten days.
Gen managed to pave a path that was sufficiently effective and understandable so that even being seriously injured, he could find a way back to Tsukasa’ Empire.
It requires huge skills. I mean, travelers were found like several kilometers away from their routes, and they wandered for weeks without being able to find the way.
Just in general, the fact that he ran so fast severely injured and literally dying really deserves attention.
2)Then, his clothes. He does not carry any bags and supplies, although when we get to know him, we learn that he has a lot of things up his sleeves. He needs all these layers of clothing to keep all his materials. Not only for his blood bags, but also food, water and something that will help him find a way. All of his clothes probably weigh a lot more than they seem to weight.
Tumblr media
Interesting to find out what is included in the standard equipment of a mentalist.
3)We also know that Gen must have an extensive stock of knowledge about nature. Senku survived because he had scientific knowledge about plants and geography. Tsukasa let Gen go alone, knowing that in floriography and orientation on the terrain, Gen has no less knowledge.
Plus, Gen was able to make wine and bags of durable material alone, which once again testifies to his knowledge in the scientific field. One more reason he and Senku tuned in to the same wave so quickly.
Tumblr media
4)And he is also much stronger and a lot more athletic than he proclaims himself to be. Most likely, he is lying about his weakness in order to avoid unnecessary energy waste. Anyways, his words are definitely not to be believed. If he constantly repeats that he is "the most superficial man in the world", while being a boy with a heart of gold, then nothing prevents him from repeating about his weakness, although in fact he is still strong.
For example, he stops with his BARE HANDS an axe strike of terribly strong Magma.
Then Stanley confirms that Gen's hands are strong.
And I repeat he is able to run a huge amount of kilometers a day and is still able to work like some kind of superhuman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We should also not forget about his past as a magician. To do a high-quality show, Gen had to be very flexible and athletic. For example, here we are shown that he just easily avoided the trick with the sword. This once again confirms that he is agile.
Tumblr media
Isn’t it amazing how he easily climbed onto the bridge pole, and then onto the roof? Plus no one notices that he is doing this, and he has no problems with balancing. It's not easy to get on the roof of this house at all, but it takes like couple of seconds for Gen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This clearly indicates that Gen has a huge acrobatic training and an incredibly developed sense of balance. (I want his backstory so much!!)
5)And of course he is incredibly capable diplomat and mentalist.
He has done so many things for the kingdom of science, this is truly awesome.
So, to sum things up, Gen is not only an amazing mentalist and psychologist, he is also a traveler, a guide, a driver and an acrobat with amazing endurance and tracking abilities.
Stunning.

To my favorite (fictional) mentalist.
I just wanna say how much this character has grown on me ever since I started watching Dr. Stone. This man has been my literal walking stick and been my motivation to continue studying harder, and is one of the main reasons why I wanna be a psychologist so bad.
To his character design and to his eccentric personality, Gen Asagiri has manged to attract me ever since his first appearance in the show, and the manga.
I've grown very much attached with this man, and will forever keep this man close to my heart until I grow older.
Happy birthday Gen:)

Sengen school au (pt1? 🤔)
Tumblr media
School AU where both of them are senior high.
Both of them met outside of school. Gen was the first one to notice Senku and was immediately interested. He didn't exactly know why he was so attracted to the man and was not sure what to do with that. He never exactly felt like this before as he viewed love as stupid. His fallen in love before and had his heart broken far too many times which resulted in him viewing love as something not necessary to his survival.
Senku on the other hand, knew him before. Or at least noticed him, sure Gen doesn't have a lot of friends, nor is a popular guy in school but it's hard to not notice him when his practically everywhere, his features and uneven hair isn't exactly something you can ignore.
Gen was the first one to interact with Senku. He was tasked alongside 5 other students to inform club members of different subject departments and interests to help with an upcoming event. While the others were collecting the other club members, Gen was tasked to go and inform the science club, that's where he talked to Senku personally.
Senku was annoyed at first to be interrupted but he supposed it can't be helped if it's an announcement. He found Gen to be interesting, the way he talked and delivered his words were.. soothing. He doesn't usually feel this way and he was really weirded out.
What really weirded Senku out was the letters he received after the interaction with Gen. It's not a coincidence that he got those after talking with the guy, right? Though, from what he got from a friend, the letter was from a girl.
Gen made a rash decision and made Senku a letter. It was stupid and it's not like they were from elementary but what was he supposed to do? everytime he sees the guy, it's like his emotions go haywire! either way, if it this doesn't work out then it doesn't. Plus, if this really means he likes Senku then he needs to do something about it. His not the type of guy to sit around and ogle at someone who won't like him back if he only admires from afar, seriously how do people do that and expect anything in return??
Surprisingly enough, Gen received a reply, his friend was the one who delivered it. Seriously? he got a reply?? if anything he expected Senku to forget about it but seems like the higher ups has other plans.

Headcanon that one of the first requests Senku and Taiju make of Sai once they have a programming thing going is for him to make a specific game.
It’s not Minecraft, or Dragon Quest, or Monster Hunter.
No, it’s a simple dress up game. Because Yuzuriha missed those.

dr stone characters playing among us because cringe is dead. Also realistically since among us only got really popular in 2020 none of these people would be playing it. Also I’m including the ishigami villagers which renders my previous statement completely useless. Hmm.
Senku: White with a doctor outfit and no hat. His memory is so precise that if all the details in someone’s alibi don’t line up then he’ll launch into interrogation mode. As an imposter he’s great at playing it cool, but his luck is so bad that every time he kills someone another person manages to show up just in time to see it happen.
Taiju: Brown with the little two leaf plant hat. Also has a great memory but unlike Senku often gets confused when someone contradicts what he himself remembers as fact. Usually just follows Senku and/or Yuzuriha around the map, and as a result ends up hampering them when they’re the imposter(s) because they can’t bring themselves to kill Taiju. Never kills anyone when he’s the imposter and is just happy when the crewmates win.
Yuzuriha: Pink with the flower hat. Is often the one catching Senku in the act of murder by sheer coincidence, and since everyone always believes her he gets booted very fast. As imposter, she typically wins by sabotage rather than directly killing anyone.
Tsukasa: Red, no hat. Doesn’t really…get the game, and ends up wandering around aimlessly and messing up tasks. Card swipe is his mortal enemy. Senku usually kills him when he’s imposter (the irony is 100% intentional). As imposter, he usually follows people around and acts so strangely that they figure him out right away. Like he’ll go right up to someone but then forget how to use the kill button and stand still for a long minute just staring at them.
Gen: Purple, changes outfits frequently. Because of his reputation everyone thinks Gen is lying all the time, but after a few rounds of reverse psychology and reverse-reverse psychology (and reverse-reverse-reverse psychology) it’s now impossible to tell when he’s lying and when he’s not. He ends up getting voted off early most games as a result, costing the crewmates multiple games. As imposter he’s actually pretty good until the inevitable “gen is lying this time for SURE” conversation happens.
Kohaku: Olive green, no hat. Has a hard time keeping alibis straight but if someone gets killed within her field of vision she will absolutely figure out who it was based on a sliver of a pixel that she glimpsed. Likes to stalk the security cameras. As imposter she is methodical and ruthless. Never targets Suika though.
Chrome: Blue, goggles. Really just likes doing tasks. He’d be happy if the whole game was just tasks and hates getting interrupted by meetings. Though he’s also rather good at picking out imposters. Is the other person who ends up catching Imposter Senku a lot. As imposter he’s not that good and usually only manages to kill a few people before getting caught.
Suika: Lime green, pumpkin hat (duh). Also really likes tasks because they make her feel useful and productive. Pretty bad at telling who’s the imposter though because she gets confused easily by the twisty turny arguments. By some strange occurrence though, she always knows if Gen is actually telling the truth or not, not that it helps Gen at all. As Imposter she basically lurks in the vents until an opportunity presents itself and is shockingly good at destroying people.
Ginro: Whatever color is available. Gets killed first almost all the time, like within 30 seconds of the game starting. Can get one or two kills in as imposter before being caught or chickening out completely
Kinro: Black, usually. Doesn’t get the point of the game until Kohaku explains it as a “training exercise.” After which he absolutely DESTROYS at it. He’ll get his tasks done faster than you think is possible and then patrol around methodically. Though as imposter he’s not great at lying when asked a direct, specific question, so if Senku starts an interrogation he’ll cave pretty fast.
Ukyo: Banana, you know the hat. Despite being only a millenial, the video game that Ukyo is most familiar with is Pokemon…up to gen 2. Suika convinces him to join a few games and he does decently, though his main goal is to make sure the debates don’t escalate into full on shouting matches.
Ryusui: Changes colors frequently but always has the pirate hat (once had a serious fight with Gen over being purple). Annoyingly good at every aspect of the game, and is frequently seen trying to teach Tsukasa how to actually play. He sounds so earnest all the time that people can’t help but trust him and his judgement. Will never hurt Suika though.
Kaseki: Who let grandpa into the discord server

A few things I thought abt is how Gen's scar can move, like it fits his personality and mannerisms but how does it move and change..
Thoughts on the dr stone petrification scars
Big disclaimer,
This is just my personal thoughts and stuff I put together n noticed, a subjective interpretation, don't take it seriously Im probably wrong
Some of these are very elaborate while others are just me pointing out details I liked. Sorry. I'll start with the longer rants
This post contains characters (currently) exclusive to the manga and main plot spoilers. Maybe I'm looking to much into it but I swear to motherfucking God there's scar symbolism. anyway
Senku and Taiju
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something that always stood out to me is how similar their scars are both in shape and position, except that Taiju's is cut on the right eye and the points are on opposite sides. Now listen to me... Senku and him are opposites; one's big brained but physically a twig and the other one is the strongest most resistant man you'll ever meet but doesn't really understand anything about science. That's why opposite scars and why they need each other to go on... But their marks are in the same direction because they have the same goal and interests + deep down they're both extremely caring people who would do anything for those around them, despite how different and contrasting their personalities are at first glance.
Oh and Senku's marks are completely symmetrical and do NOT go away. Idk logic perseverance etc + Taijus are more coarse and asymmetrical. To contrast their way of thinking I think. They could be similar because they were the first ones to wake up from the petrification too but you know
Francois & the Nanami brothers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Francois' scar looks like explosion or sound waves. (Manga) Ryusui snaps his fingers to call them creating a similar shape, which is really cool I'll admit. Their scar is on their hand, just like Ryusui's.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, both Ryusui and Sai also have scars on their hands, except Ryusui's may resemble a glove so pirate-like if we don't count the color + it's on the hand he snaps his fingers with. Mark resembling a rich man or a pirate's glove on the same hand he uses to call his butler and ask for service, and it only covers his fingers. Could be something like a symbol of power/status.
On the other hand, Sai's scars completely cover the lower part of his arms and hands, which are what he uses to code. Sai ran away in order to be able to schedule quietly and is completely locked in his work. Tell me you get it please
Yoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm getting into crack theory with this but please do bear with me. His scar makes him look like Alex, the protagonist of A Clockwork Orange. A Clockwork Orange deals a lot with the theme of unscrupulous rebellion, hurting someone because you think you have complete freedom, and police brutality, which are big parts of Yoo's character. As far as I remember the eyelash marks are left on the MC after being forced to watch 484737 movies showing super beast crimes so he understands what he is doing is wrong and redeems himself. Yoo covers his face a lot to hide the mark and only removes the piece of stone that covers it at the end of the manga when he is 100% team Senku.
IN ADDITION, something important in A Clockwork Orange are the vulgar idioms and slang that teenagers invent and are completely unknown to the viewer and curiously the name and surname of Yoo are formed by informal interjections in Japanese. I've only read the book tho, never watched the movie so if I got anything about the eye marks wrong mb
Tsukasa and Stanley
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really like how similar their scars are, considering both were absurdly overpowered antagonists that had to be defeated using much more advanced science + both kill Senku at one point + their eyes are similar to some extent. I love parallels
Dr Xeno
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scar becomes? White? Splits into pieces? After he's revived a second time and decides to help Senku. Something about his ideals splitting/changing maybe. And being no longer evil thus willing to kill teenagers
Gen
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gen's scar seems to resemble a mouth that changes shape depending on whatever emotion he's feeling (or pretending to feel). I don't have anything else to say genuinely peak character design, specially taking into account that facades are a huge part of his arc and relationships with other characters (let's remember that he's the one to suggest everyone paints their scar again in solidarity with Senku. Hm).
Yuzuriha and Mirai
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuzu's resemble the roots and vines that protected her body while she was petrified, while Mirai's make her look like a baby chicken breaking out of its shell. I think they're both cute details considering their characters:)
Homura
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering she's a gymnast who uses her legs a lot to move, I find cool that it's on her thigh. It makes her legs look like they're cracking
Hyoga
Tumblr media
Very circular and repetitive, something related to his weapon maybe. I find interesting that he covers them. Insert cursed speech jujutsu kaisen joke
Addition: Ukyo has no visible mark which is also cool on its own way, given that one of his abilities is easily perceiving sounds other people don't notice at all
