Yeah pretty much, they wanted it to actually be Super Mario World Chocolate Island Mountain instead of just Choco Mountain because everyone thought Choco Mountain was like a candy land.

Nintendo has had to like impress this upon players multiple times to the point the Mario Wiki quote for the page explicitly says nothing is edible on Choco Mountain (unless you really like dirt.) The boiling mud lakes are straight from Chocolate Island 4.

They legit got so tired of people thinking Choco Mountain is made of chocolate they purposely threw out all iconography resembling candy.

Did you figure out why Choco Mountain was redesigned in World, Jenny? I literally just realized now why, and I’m a huge Mario Nerd. I feel so ashamed for not getting it.

I actually haven’t pieced it together yet, but judging by your ask, I’m guessing the addition of the Chargin Chucks is to make it way more like its Super Mario World counterpart

We should talk about the funniest, yet most consistent way for a beloved retro streamer to accidentally turn their stream into a gladiator match with them opposing chat.

Playing a game based on a show they never watched while also trying to talk about what they think of the show from their perspective.

And like this sounds like an oddly specific thing. But every time this happens, a funny stream of playing like Bingle And Fred the Video Game becomes a trial where the streamer has to plead their case to chat.

It’s really only on a livestream too because on a prerecorded VOD or something, I notice people are less likely to tear into the streamer.

But if Chat’s on and live, all bets are off, Chat is going to judge you for your sins.

Especially if the streamer says any of these things:

“Who is this character?”

“I didn’t watch this show, I was too old to watch”

“What the hell is this show about again?”

“Why did anyone like this?”

“Why do you guys care so much about a kids/baby show?”

That’s like kicking a wasp’s nest in streaming terms. And like I don’t blame anyone, it’s just really funny that this consistently is the easiest way to set off Chat even if the streamer is like the sweetest, most likable person.
