Day 10, Mida Rana Mio Hifumi!!!

Mios grandfather was working at Sakura around the time the brutal murders of 1980 took place. He had to deal with the pay cuts that ensued due to diminishing funding and support. It wasn't easy since him and his wife were raising Mio after her parents' tragic passing. They did everything to get her into a better life than they had, but because of this, they were quickly losing money. Mio had no clue about this, as she was sent to a prestigious academy/boarding school far from home. She returned home at 21, after hearing devastating news about her grandfathers health.

Mio Hifumi now works at Sakura High as an assistant teacher/tutor, alongside her grandfather. Due to her looks, the male students and staff often have crushes on her (THAT SHE DOESN'T RECIPROCATE.), but her class of 3-1 has taken it too far, with some students purposely failing to get some time alone with her through tutoring. Taro Yamada is legitimately failing, though, which is why Mio is often seen helping him during and after class.

But Sakura High doesn't pay nearly enough to support her and her grandparents. She started to utilize her looks, getting loads of cash to simply go on dates with desperate men. It's working, but she's deeply afraid of her grandparents or anyone in her life finding out about her new line of work.

Day 9-i think? Muja Kina Min-Ji Kim!! Also, rq, her red patch says nursing assistant, if the kanji is wrong lmk!!

Min-Ji Kim is an anxious, panicked student from South Korea who has dreams of becoming a doctor at one of the best hospitals, Sakae (saikou) Medical Center. After graduating high school early at 17, she sent out multiple submissions to schools asking if she could tutor under the nurses there. During this, she accidentally sent a request to an underfunded school all the way in Japan, Sakura High (akademi). Sakura was the only school who responded with a yes, so after begging her parents to move, she enrolled at Sakura High.

Despite only having only having one class, aka the nurses office, she's extremely overworked as she treats minor wounds for the nurse (like scraped knees and bruises) while also studying for everything and anything. Due to this, she often forgets to take care of herself, forgetting to feed herself or bathe. Since Taro is clumsy and ends up in the nurses office a lot, he noticed Min-Jis lack of self care quickly, so he often brings her food and such during his visits to the nurse.

Day 8, Asu Rito Ash Rikitake!! Sorry it took so long, the art machine broke

Ash was born in Japan but spent most of her life in America due to her father's job. It was only recently that she was forced to move back to Japan for that same job. She knows some Japanese, but not too much about kanji or kana, causing her to struggle with communicating and school.

Despite this, she's quite a popular student. She's a team leader, very charming, and often flirtatious, with many of the female students having crushes on her. She's the leader of the sports club, favoring track over all other activities. Taro is part of the sports club and is often found flirting back and forth with Ash, but there's nothing romantic, simply Taro trying to learn from the master. As Ash helps with flirts, Taro helps her with kanji and kana.

Day 7, Oka Ruto Rei Noroi, more commonly known as Okaran

Their new name essentially means dark (Rei) curse (Noroi) with their pin saying Paranormal Studies Club, sorry the pin is hard to read btw- if any kanji is wrong pls correct me!! Also, I made them nonbinary and gave them hypermobility EDS because there's no trans or disabled characters in yansim-

According to the Norois, their family has been cursed for generations, to the point they even change their family name as a warning. But as Rei grew up, they noticed this curse was often used as a way to not take responsibility for their abuse and negligence. Because of this and other factors, they moved in with their aunt and had to change schools

At this new school, their normal, cheerful, playful, and silly personality was immediately beaten down by bullies, forcing them to be timid and scared. They started the Paranormal Studies Club to investigate the paranormal and to make friends. One of the students who joined this club was Taro Yamada, and the two quickly became friends after Taro stood up for Rei. The two often try summoning ghosts and other paranormal entities, with Rei treating it as a massive joke and Taro nearly shitting himself

Day 6, Kizana Sunobu Hinata Wén!!

So, a lot of the rivals are gonna have name changes, for similar issues discussed in my Amai/Maika post (that being yan dev just shoves japanese words into on the nose pun filled names) What Kizanas new name is is Hinata Wén. Her first name is a combination of the Kanji for princess and poetry, with her last name being the Kangxi radical (I hope that's right-) for literature/script. Her red arm band has also been changed to a pin that says drama club. Once again, if anything is wrong, correct me pls!!

She's Chinese and Japanese, with her family coming from a long line of rich ass performers. She's been performing since she was a little girl, and has been spoiled all of her life, to the point she expects everything and anything. In school she's an extremely popular mean girl, with boys often following and flaunting over her, but her sights are only set on one, Taro. Himata often makes herself the lead in school plays with her making Taro the love interest/second lead, with hopes these pretend moments of love will lead to something real.

Day..er..5?? Yeah, sure. Day 5, Amai Maika Odayaka!!

Since Yandere Dev has a habit of just taking words and putting them into Google Translate, I wanted to change her name to something that would reflect her hobby. So her name is Maika, which due to the kanji used means strawberry and flowers. I also changed the club leader arm band into a pin. It's meant to say cooking club - I don't know japanese, but I did a lot of research to get things right. If I still got either of these wrong, lmk!!!

She's very friendly with Taro, as he's part of the cooking club(along with nearly every other club), he often helps her decorate cakes and other deserts as he's quite good at that. She's chill, soft-spoken, and very kind. I was trying to go for Country Lolita style with her, and I absolutely love her-shes soo cute!!

Day 4, Raibaru Fumetsu!!

I made her a gyaru like her bestie-though I tried to soften the style a bit as I wanted to give her a jocky flare. Raibaru is skilled in hand to hand combat, but not so much social skills. She'll stick by Osana for most of the day and only leave her side during classes. She cares a lot for both Osana and Taro and only wants what's best for them, but she struggles to properly communicate that most of the time.

Day 3, Osana Najimi!!

So, there's alot of ideas I need to share

I don't think Osana should be the first rival. The childhood best friend being so replaceable is odd, I think she should be the second to last. I like the idea of her being a lesbian, aka her just not being into Senpai at all, and Ayano simply thinks she's into him, she's very protective of Taro though, as he's been in bad relationships in the past. I made her a gyaru-since the only gyarus in the game are bullies-which is odd. She's a gals gal, but she can be very blunt so she can occasionally come off as mean. She has a MASSIVE crush on Raibaru but won't say so out of fear and nervousness

Day 2, Taro Yamada, aka Senpai

So, in the game, Taro isn't given much of a personality or much of anything. He just sits on his fountain and reads. So, in my little rewrite, I make him super popular. He's incredibly likable and gets along with everyone, which is why he's in every club. In these clubs, he gets close with the clubs leaders and becomes friends/friendly with them rather quickly. I made him an artist as well!! In class, he's usually doodling, which causes him to miss important lessons, and he often forgets to do homework.

So, I've been on a bit of a Yandere Simulator crunch. Just watching videos critique the game, and it's dev. Besides the clear lack of research about Japan, its culture, and the pervert bs, another issue I have is the designs. They're either incredibly bland or too much, so I'm trying to do my take on some designs + some story ideas below the designs

I like the idea of her being an academic, overachieving, "gifted kid." She's a loner both by choice and by force. She's quiet and keeps to herself, but she's also bullied for being nerd. Her love of Taro/Senpai occurs after he defends her from her bullies, and it causes her to view him as her savior. Then uhhhh..idk, yandere things ensue
