This morning, I was intentional about the re-awakening of yesteryears’ memories. (Yesterday, as I bit into slices of watermelon, exploding imagery carried me to my childhood; what joy!)
Today, it didn’t happen. What I know: Yesterday, I ate my watermelon by directly biting into it - passing through my lips, teeth, tongue, then chewing. What a sensation.
Today, I ate with a fork, and I still had “a party in my mouth.” The party started and ended there.
*Never underestimate the power of touch.
