You don’t need a system name, you don’t need a system aesthetic, you don’t need a collective identity. You don’t need to put your whole system– or any aspect of it– online in order to be a system.

You can just exist, you don’t need to make every aspect of your system public. You’re still a system even without a system name or collective pronouns or a system blog.

Y'know what, hosts, and generals rest of the system? It doesn't make us feel any better or help us "heal" when everything we see ourselves mentioned in is "how to get rid" of us.

something really difficult about being a system is remembering being somebody who was so excited for a movie or game to come out years ago, but they aren't around anymore to see it. our old host and our cousin were so excited to see across the spiderverse together after the first movie, but we've had so many changes involving our hosts that i know they're a part of me and i have that memory but there's a somber feeling knowing they wanted to see it more than i did so even if i see it, it won't be the same.

Over two years being a friend to her and she just goes and blocks me after months of silence. We were so fucking close. Our whole systems were. It was rare as hell for people to not get along. We talked almost every day. And yet here you are, blocking us and disappearing. No argument. No word. Nothing

You went silent on us. We asked if things were okay. Checked up on you. No response until you said you needed space, so fuck, I respected that. But 1 month. 2, 3, 4. 6 months in and nothing. Then I see you’ve blocked us.

No one needs a reason why they cut someone off. But turning on us in a day? It wasn’t an internet thing either. We first met in person, it was a completely natural friendship. Just turned out we were both systems.

Between us, some alters had really strong bonds. But I guess they meant nothing to you.

I regret ever letting us be friends with you.

is a sentence i hate. there are so many reasons to why someone has a bad memory; disorders that cause amnesia / memory loss such as DID/OSDD or head injuries, disorders that cause a bad memory in general such as ADHD or mental health conditions. even a bad diet or a lack of sleep could cause bad memory. these are just a few examples.

it’s really unfair to be accused of not caring over something you have no real control over.

Shout out to systems who are just surviving for now. We’re all at different stages of recovery, and sometimes, that stage is just trying to survive. It can be hard, especially if you’re still in a shitty situation. I’m so proud of those of you who are just trying to live to the end of each day. You’re doing remarkably.
