I would like to know the mind that came up with these words....

Recently I found a list I made several months ago of Big Mama words that she uses in canon, so I thought I'd share it. (Note: this is not complete and the notes on meaning/use are limited by what I guessed from context.)

Biddily-boo: auction, bidding

Bimbally bugs: no particularly new meaning, her way of saying bugs

Contrapulation: complex object, contraption

Crackadoo: mess, disturbance

Dimbally door: no particularly new meaning, her way of saying door

Fantumptuous: very good, fabulous, amazing

Fizzy-winkle: mess, chaos

Fuggy-doodles: thieves

Hollydoo: apparently a sort of limb

Malutacious monsters: positive apparently

Meddle-doos: meddlers, irritants

Oh, giggily-pin: exclamation

Scramulent: good, pleasing (occasionally used sarcastically)

Scrumbulent: good, pleasing

Silly-billy: silly

Skanktonious: stinky, repulsive

Tissle-tassle: problem, possibly a little issue that gets bigger

Thrashy-diddle: fight

And I organized them alphabetically because it was fun. If anyone has more, feel free to add!

hey cass!! popping in here to give some tips on writing dialog for big mama!!

firstly, she will almost always call the turtles "turtleyboos" (ex, "my little turtleyboo (sigular turtle)) she also tends to default to saying "heavens no" when denying something

now for the part that i think you have said is the most confusing, her constant use of random nonsense words

there is no real pattern to these, but she does tend to end such nonsense words with -doo, -ie/-y or an s. sometimes, her nonsense words will have the same letter as the next word she says (ex. dimbly door, bimbly bugs) she will also add little words to the beginning of others, again, starting with the same letter (fizzy-flopping,

other times, they're twistings of other words, most often the word splendid (she'll turn it in splendiferous, scramulent. scrumptious, etc.)

theres probably a few things i missed but thats the gist of it!! just make her say random shit!!!

These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.

Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.

Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit...

@ ALL RISE FANS THAT MAKE COMICS & STORIES

So I’ve noticed that in this fandom it’s common to include Deaf/ASL-using-characters into stories, which is honestly AMAZING and makes me SO HAPPY TO SEE, but many of us aren’t deaf we rely on resources, therefore:

My ASL teacher gave us this website cause it’s updates constantly (ASL evolves lots) and it’s a lot more accurate and reliable than just google :))

To work it- type the word, and a word bank will pull up, click on the term u want and a video/description of the sign and word will appear!!!

It’s rlly simple and has most words and if it doesn’t it’s bc it’s finger spelled probs!!!!

If u want more in-depth good grammar, search up “five parameters ASL”, “glossing in ASL” and watch a few videos to see “how sentence structure differs in ASL”

As always, remember it’s ok to make mistakes/notice a mistake, just be mindful and kind :D most of us aren’t out for malice and if someone is it’ll probs be very obv 😭

Hey !! I hope you're doing well and taking care of yourself !!

So I'm a new reader (sorta, I've known of your work for a while now but only recently started reading your comic; plus I'm starting from ep 16 and going backwards) BUT I wanted to mention something I observed while reading the last few strips:

Usually in TMNT media, Mikey is always sorta perceived as the baby, right? The one that has to be protected regardless of how strong he is or how much he does but to me it feels like you've managed to make Mikey his own entity, like he's finally his own person outside of his brother's perception of him and it borderline hurts.

I'm so used to reading media where you kinda always know that, at the very least, Mikey is going to be okay because his brothers are right there. By his side, not letting him slip up- they're a safety net that's always there, regardless of anything but in your comic it's almost like that safety net is gone and at any moment the Krang could take his life just like Raph and just like Donnie.

It's almost like a horror story compared to the way most media of Mikey presents him. It's thrilling and I love it. I don't know if you perceive it like this or feel similarly, I'd love to know your thoughts!! I'm just getting into this whole universe you've created so I could be misinterpreted a lot but rn that's how I'm seeing things :0

About Mikey. There are two reasons

First off, I don't really understand the general tendency to make him a cute little kid with big puppy dog eyes (and endless therapy potential...I guess??). I mean, yeah, it's part of his image, but it's not his essence. In the canon he's a mischievous gremlin who is too trusting and straightforward and has a high level of empathy for his family (not always though haha) and almost zero for the rest of the world.

At least that's how I see him :)

Secondly, I have a younger brother myself. And "oooh he's so adorable and cute I need to protect him all the time" is NOT how I look at him. That's how our parents look at him. Not me

I don't have a schedule. Basically the spawn chance of an update depends on whether I can or cannot speedrun it in the evening after work.

So basically, I myself don't know until the last minute..or..more like..the last hour.. when the update will be up haha

I’ve seen a lot of videos going around of urban-dwelling critters coming to humans for help with various problems, ranging from boxes stuck on their heads to young trapped down a storm drain, and it’s gotten me to thinking:

On the one hand, it’s kind of fascinating that they know to do that.

On the other hand, setting any questions of how this sort of behaviour must have arisen aside for the nonce, does it ever strike you how weird it is that we’ve got a whole collection of prey species whose basic problem-solving script ends with the step “if all else fails, go bother one of the local apex predators and maybe they’ll fix the problem for no reason”?
