ngl, losing all those roseclan files made me really discouraged and I sorta don't really feel like making another clangen comic right now. gonna let the queue run out on here still but you probably won't be seeing new comics (this or another) from me for a long time, so sorry about that

so. the data for roseclan corrupted in such a way that I can't imagine it'll be salvageable. so the new clan will take a little longer. and i will go walk into a lake.

a little backstory on pumpkinear, for context:

pumpkinear is the father of rockspeckle's kits. the reason they have outsider roots instead of being half-clan is because pumpkinear technically isn't a prairieclan cat anymore. in my prairieclan file, he murdered a cat named hootkit, and i decided that, to wrap all these events together, he was exiled after that. however, rockspeckle doesn't know this and assumes that he's only being sketchy because he's having an affair with another clan's cat as opposed to him being an exile who will get the shit kicked out of him if a prairieclan cat sees him.

as for why rockspeckle is doing this despite having the loyal attribute ... she's loyal less to the code and more to other cats themselves. when she became mates with rainrunner because she decides she loves them more and also doesn't want to sneak around, she breaks things off with pumpkinear as opposed to cheating on him. pumpkinear wasn't too torn up about it, since he was never that invested in their relationship in the first place, he just wants to continue his bloodline; all his siblings died before they could have kits, and he never had a mate when he was in prairieclan. however, because they have kits together, and because rockspeckle still cares about him, they've remained friends and kept in contact a bit.

might write something more fleshed out but in the meantime i wanted to get a rundown of their whole deal!

SO i've started on my new clangen comic! i'm still working on a backlog, but I should start posting within the next couple weeks. in the meantime, you can follow @roseclanmoons, it's just empty right now.

i'll start posting my ghostclan backlog today and will hopefully do one per day until they run out.

note that this doesn't mean ghostclan is never coming back! i just got burnt out on it and then was in Depression Hell and not making anything. but im climbing back out baybee

ok. secretly I've had a few updates drawn since like September that I umm. never got around to posting because every time I do I just feel kinda paralyzed LOL you know how it is with ADHD

should I just post those all at once as a Christmas gift or something
