While I do acknowledge that while sexism in the medical and scientific fields contribute to why women fall down the crunchy to alt-right pipeline, one criticism I have for these podcasts and video essays exploring this phenomenon is that race and white feminism are barely mentioned at all. Yes, while White women are affected by medical sexism and that has led to many of them being distrustful of medical and science professionals, Black and Brown women are affected twofold by medical sexism but also medical racism as well, and even moreso if they are queer, trans, poor, fat, disabled etc.

So there’s a trend going round where you draw Miku inspired by your own culture and normally I just sit those out bc i’m from England but then the image of her covered in fake tan with the full chav makeup and sloppily bleached blue pigtails popped into my head and i almost threw up laughing.
