hi everyone <3 i havent seen this one shared / reblogged in a while so here is that huge google drive full of pdfs and ebooks about palestine. seriously its huge. not mine & i have no contact with the owner so id recommend downloading what you can to have permanent access to it. i tested the link in a private browser so it should work but let me know if it doesnt and ill try to figure out what the problem is

palestinians were massacred and bombed to drive them out of the north of gaza, and they were told that the south was safe. then israel wiped out the south of gaza and promised safe evacuation if palestinians fled to rafah which is now being violently bombed as well. if israel's goals aren't clear here, i don't know what else could prove it

people complaining that any critique of a thing they like ruins it for them is such a skill issue. personally i can spend 10 hours a day critiquing the things i like and still enjoy them passionately and wholeheartedly

They don't want us to call what's happening in Gaza a genocide not because there's not been an official ruling but because these things don't get set in people's minds via official ruling. Instead it is the oral history that sets an event into place in mass consciousness.

Us calling it what it is - a genocide - means they can't wriggle out of it in years to come. They can't continue to call it a conflict or a war if we cement it in public consciousness as a genocide.

So don't tone down your language. Call it what it is. Make sure the history books know what happened and the genocides that took place in Palestine, Sudan, Congo.
