Just a random question that popped into my head, If The projection usurp the throne of the dark cacao kingdom, what would they do to the kingdom?

Destroy it.

Due to Dark Cacao spending so much time running his kingdom, he never found time for his son. Whenever he did, he would always tie in a lesson about how Dark Choco needs to live up to his impossibly high expectations so the kingdom, his kingdom, shall prosper. Dark Cacao wanted a perfect heir so his kingdom would live on, which is the only reason why Dark Choco even exists. Sure, Dark Cacao truly loves his son... but he only had him so he can be his perfect heir.

The thought of being unimportant in his father's eyes made Dark Choco very resentful and envious as time passed. He wanted Dark Cacao's attention on him and him alone. He wanted to be seen as his own person and not just an heir, but he never got that growing up. He had to be perfect for his father in the hope that he would notice his efforts, but the king always demanded more. The kingdom always demanded more. Even when the prince had nothing else to give, he still gave it his all so he could feel a semblance of love from the kingdom of rigid cold. Which is what pushed him to find the strawberry jam sword.

If he found that sword, he would be seen as a hero! He could finally live up to his father's expectations and be seen as his own person. He wouldn't be alone anymore. His father would finally be proud of him. Everyone would love him. He would finally be... happy. But, of course, that was far from the truth.

Now, after everything that happened, Projection sees the Dark Cacao Kingdom as the sole reason for his pain and wants it to be annihilated. Engulfed in flames, crushed by his bare hands as revenge for ruining his life. He doesn't want the kingdom for himself; he wants it destroyed, so he can see the light in everyone's eyes die... just like whenever Dark Cacao told him he wasn't good enough...

Hey kinda curious....what powers does dark choco and his projection have? Like can the projection make it so that other cookies can see him or are they just invisible to everyone? Also what exactly can the projection do other than torment dark choco mentally and provide him with a sorta....monstrous form? And what can dark choco do, other than have a monstrous form, as a consequence of having this gem?

I think I can list all of their abilities here lol:

Projection: -Possession (Can take over Choco's body when Choco falls into despair/goes into his ghoul form) -Can turn his hands into giant claws (the ghoul's claws to be more specific) -Invisibility (He can make himself visible to other cookies, but chooses not to because he likes making Choco think he's crazy-) -Flexibility (Can run on all fours like a fucking animal-) -He can fly -He can climb on walls and ceilings (can also go through walls and ceilings-) -His cape can turn into demon wings (because he thinks it looks cool-) -Can also manipulate/gaslight others by whispering in their ears (Dark Cacao is the one he likes to torment most) -Can use the chains on his wrists to strangle others (Bro's a menace) -Can invade Dark Choco's dreams and harass him

Dark Choco/The Ghoul: He can also turn his hands into giant claws (again, the ghoul's claws lol) -Is VERY strong in his ghoul form (He can break through concrete and brick walls with ease) -Is very durable in his ghoul form (He got shot multiple times by the watchers and it did not phase him at all) -He can control lightning (He isn't very good at it tho) -Can pull the strawberry jam sword out of the gem on his chest (It doesn't hurt him since the sword is forever linked to him) -Is also very flexible (can also run on all fours like a menace, but this only happens when he's on the brink of turning into the ghoul)

Ah good to figure it out but why do I have a gut feeling the gem would curse would try to stop me if I tried to tell dark choco....I can already imagine:

Wait feeds off inner darkness...then doesn't that mean the solution is a lot of therapy and learning how to control dark thoughts or emotions? Ooooor is it like he has to learn to partially do that because if he is able to block out the darkness completely, it kills the gem because no food source and therefore kills him as well?

Both. Basically, you gotta find balance. It's all about balance lol. (The curse works similarly to the real parasite: the Cymothoa Exigua aka the Tongue-Eating Louse. Which I totally wasn't inspired by lol-)

(and side question, does projection actually really care about dark choco, but just has a BIZZARE way of showing it? Like I could see dark choco and projection arguing and then projection just breaks down saying he only wants to protect choco; and genuinely?)

Good question. To explain Projection more, he's basically a spirit/manifestation of Dark Choco's negative emotions, bad memories, and trauma. Hence why he looks like Dark Choco at his absolute lowest (AKA, the "Prince of a Lost Kingdom" Costume.) Projection originates from the strawberry jam sword's curse, constantly whispering to Dark Choco to just give into his inner darkness and take what was rightfully his.

Onto what you were saying about getting rid of Projection, technically you can't really get rid of him, since, well, he's not only part of the sword's curse but also is literally just Dark Choco but with no positive experience to go off of, only the bad.

Also, just to explain how the strawberry jam sword's curse works in this universe is quite simple-

The sword works as a parasite that feeds off of its host's inner darkness and once the victim gives into their darkness they're pushed to their limit, the sword latches onto the victim's body then kills a VERY vital organ like the heart and BECOMES that organ. As the curse reaches its peak, the victim will turn into a dangerous, almost feral version of themselves like what happened to Dark Choco. After the adrenaline wears off, the victim will die after their body is pushed to its absolute limit.

Thankfully, this did not happen to Dark Choco but he was very close... As for the transplant theory, unfortunately, that's out of the picture too, due to the victim's body being so dependent on the sword's power that it will simply stop functioning and will die. A toxic relationship at its finest.

As for the side question... in a very messed up way... kind of. Not only does Projection have every last ounce of trauma Dark Choco has, but also he has been stuck in a sword for god knows how long. I can't really explain it all too well though since their relationship is so complicated.

This AU actually happens 2-3 years before the Pale Ailment Outbreak occurs, so unfortunately, there will be no mentions of any current events in the Beast Yeast timeline
