Tips from GH Realty:
Did you know that landlords request that you send unlabeled rental payments is actually fraudulent on their behalf? NEVER DO THIS!!! It is very important as a tenant to have proof of on time rental payments as well as to indicate that these are goods/purchases through payment apps such as Zelle, PayPal, etc.
If your landlord ever refunds your rental payment and asks you to resend it without the label, YOU ARE ENTITLED TO KEEP THE FULL PAYMENT! As if you are taken to landlord/tenant court the judge will not rule in favor of a landlord who was attempting to commit tax evasion. Please keep these things in mind as a renter/tenant!
