Why Netflix’s new hit series Insatiable needs a second season
Hi guys!! This is my first post about a tv show. As you may know, Netflix’s new hit series Insatiable has been receiving lots of hate because of confusion between the message “skinny is magic”.
If you didn’t get a chance to binge Insatiable, it’s about a girl named Patty, who lost lots of weight. The show tells the story about how she got bullied, how she wants revenge on the people who bullied her, with twists turns drama murder etc.
It includes many trans and gay characters, I think one thing is that some lines are a bit offensive.
Now, if you’ve watched the whole season, you would know, skinny is not magic. Patty realizes that later in the season. This show teaches people how to be confident in their own bodies, and how there is a future after bullying. It teaches you about Patty’s best friend, who struggles with telling her she has feelings for her, how the other main characters, bob for example, learns many lessons, acts like a father figure for patty, it talks about patty’s mom, who’s an alcoholic, and how it effects patty.
Although some people may have took it the wrong way, (some of the lines being not humouress for example) and that’s why the show may be canceled.
Although it may not have helped the millions who watched it, it helped me.
This is such an inspiring and hilarious story, and I think it should be continued.
