Tom rolled over slowly and stretching his arms out over the edge of the bed. After his eyes flickered open, he was delighted to see that he was in his own room. By habit he attempted to turn his side lamp on. No luck. Oh yes. The storm. Tom huffed with annoyance as he rolled back over again. The sound of a yawn startled Abi awake and she opened her eyes to another pair staring back at her. She assessed the situation quickly, as she’d done many times before, stretching her arms above her head. Another sound started her, the loud rumble of thunder and she sighed as she remembered what day it was. “Storm,” she muttered out loud. Alright, so she was trapped in a stranger’s apartment... if that’s what you called this place... and she was truly struggling to remember his name. She rolled back over to face him, giving him a quick once over. I’m just gonna go ahead and say that I’m Abi and I’d really appreciate if you’d save me the embarrassment of trying to guess your name.”
