Shiyuu hadn’t been at school for the past couple of days.

Maybe that was why he found out so late.

“Shiyuu…I’m so sorry…she’s gone.”

Those were the first words he heard when he picked up the phone. He had just woken up, having not been feeling well before.

The art teacher, the one teacher he was the closest to. Everyone was aware of how close they were. She had passed away in her sleep over the weekend.

Once the call is over, Shiyuu sets his phone down and sits on the edge of the bed. He doesn’t know if he’s even blinking as he stares into the distance. Tears trickle down his cheeks.

Should he be crying more? Why is this happening? Why now?

He barely even notices a knock on the door.

[Cyn isn’t exactly sure how to help, while she identifies what death is and can see how it makes someone feel, she seems guilty that she may not provide the best company or advice]

I am…very sorry. I do not, think I can really help because I am merely a robot. We’re not…programmed to really understand what it’s like to lose someone…

If I may, I would like to try. I don’t like seeing my siblings upset or depressed…maybe there is another way I can assist in this?

[A familiar robotic voice was at the door, their voice sounding softer as she had noticed that their friend hadn’t been in school for a bit. After a few minutes of no answer Cyn opens the door themself, scanning Shiyuu’s current state she could immediately tell something was wrong]

Big brother, Yuu? What’s wrong? You have been absent…and you seem, very sad.
