Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 8-Pranks and Recreations
Here’s the next chapter! Hope you had a wonderful holidays if you celebrate it at all. Sadly I didn’t I was sick, but I’m doing a little bit better. This chapter was fun to work on as I give the other Dreamworld characters a chance in the spotlight. Mainly the Acrimony twins, Ben and Liz.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
Wiatt walked into Dreamworld in the early hours of the morning, humming a tune. Upon making it to the employee lockers, he heard footsteps and snickering. Wiatt looked around wondering if it was the animatronics running around the facility this early.
Brushing it off, Wiatt went to his locker. He put in the combination and opened it only to be greeted by a bunch of water balloons splashing him.
Wiatt spit out some water just as he heard a familiar chuckle. The mechanic turned to see it was his co-worker Hayden.
“What’s so funny?” Wiatt asked, glaring at his co-worker.
“You got pranked by Oliver’s siblings.” Hayden replied, laughing as he went to his locker, “it’s normal for them to pull pranks.”
Wiatt rung the water out from his hat before putting it back on. “Yeah, I can see that.”
“Luckily, they've never pranked me,” Hayden said. He opened his locker and water balloons, filled with red paint this time, fell on him. He slowly turned to Wiatt, who smirked.
“Until today,” Wiatt added as he laughed.
Hayden growled at his co-worker until he heard giggling and turned to see a pink and blue blur running off in the corner.
Once away from the two workers, Ben pulled out a piece of paper with names, a marker, and used the marker to cross out Hayden and Wiatt’s names off of said list.
“Alright, who is next?” Liz asked.
Ben thought and snapped his fingers. “I know,” he said.
The Founder Trio were setting up for a meeting when they heard a loud scream, causing them to drop everything and run to where the scream was coming from. The trio found a trail of what seems to be blood leading towards one of the rooms.
“B-Ben. L-Liz?” Oliver asked, whimpering a bit as he reached for the doorknob and slowly turned it.
Once the door was fully opened he and his friends stared in horror seeing Ben and Liz laying “dead” and covered in “blood.”
Sara covered her mouth in horror, as Oliver pushed his friends out of the way to see his siblings dead. Lewis felt sick and stepped back only to feel his back hit something hard. He looked up to see a masked figure glaring down at him.
Lewis whimpered and moved away from the masked man. He tapped Sara on the shoulder. Once she saw the masked figure, she tapped Oliver on the shoulder. He didn’t look up until Sara grabbed his shoulder and turned him to the masked figure. If Oliver wasn’t terrified seeing his siblings “dead” it would be seeing the “person” that caused it.
“Finally, fresh blood!” The masked figure yelled as he raised the chainsaw high.
The Founder Trio screamed loudly. Ben and Liz decided to rise from the dead and laugh. “Aww man we got you good!” Ben laughed.
The masked figure laughed too, removing his mask to reveal it was Starlight. “You sure did, darling.” He said.
Ben went into his pocket and crossed off the names of the founders off the list.
“Thanks for the fake blood Starlight.” Liz said. “Think you could give us the recipe?”
Starlight nodded, “if your older brother is okay with it.” He turned to the Founder Trio and saw they’ve been turned white as a ghost. “Uh you three okay?”
Liz and Ben looked at one another before trying to tap Sara and Oliver, only for the three to faint.
“Maybe you two went a little too far, darlings.” Starlight said, looking at the twins.
“Maybe we did.” Liz replied.
“Next victim?” Ben asked.
“Next victim!” Liz exclaimed, as she and her twin brother ran out of the closet, as Starlight looked on, he had a weird feeling in his animatronic gut.
At Sea Venture, Alyssa and Audrey were inflating the water toys for the kids to play while Mike helped out organizing the pool noodles, and handling a box of other pool toys. As he put the box down, he saw one of the inflatable floating sea monsters swimming towards him.
Mike chuckled, “alright girls, really funny.” He said. Audrey and Alyssa looked up at the young man. “You inflated this to try and scare me.”
“I didn’t inflate that, did you?” Alyssa asked, looking at her co-worker.
Audrey shook her head, “no. I’ve been by your side since we arrived.”
The three stared at the floating device for a bit before the floaty squirted water at them. The trio screamed as the water was cold.
After being squirted with water, the three heard chuckling and saw Ben and Liz leave the scene to prank their next set of victims.
Mike and Audrey glared at the twins, but Alyssa spoke up, “come on guys, they’re just kids having fun.”
“But they prank everyone around here.” Audrey pointed out.
“At least it’s harmless pranks,” Alyssa reassured her co-worker.
Mike sighed, “I guess so Lyss. However, don’t you worry they’ll go too far or someone gets hurt with their pranks.”
Alyssa hugged her boyfriend and kissed him on the cheek. “They are Oliver’s siblings so hopefully he can talk with them.”
“Hey guys.”
The trio turned to see Pen, covered in paint and glitter. The trio’s mouth dropped as they looked at their co-worker from head to toe.
“What happened to you?!” Audrey asked.
“The twins pranked me with a fake cockroach, got scared and I ended up falling on the arts and crafts table.” Pen explained.
“You're not hurt are you?” Mike asked, going towards the Trampoland worker.
Pen shook his head. “I’m fine, just messy.”
Soon the intercom turned on and everyone looked up, “attention all Dreamworld Workers, please make your way to the staff meeting room for a very important meeting.” Sara’s voice rang out.
The workers all looked at each other and sighed as they made their way to the meeting room.
In the meeting room, the workers came by and, from the looks of it, they were all pranked in some way or another. They all glared at Oliver, who looked nervous and covered his face by putting his head down, wanting to hide away from everybody
Lewis took notice of his friend and patted his back.
“Okay, you probably know why I called everyone here,” Sara started.
“Because Oliver’s siblings are constantly pranking us.” Everyone said at the same time.
Oliver peaked up before burying his head even further. Sara frowned and sighed as she sat down. “Okay look, I know Oliver’s little brother and sister can be a pair of practical jokers, but it’s not like someone got hurt from them.” She explained, defending the kids.
“Sara, do you remember when Liz and Ben played that scary one car video in replacement of your slides from one of our meetings?” Lisa reminded her boss. “We had few workers who went into panic attacks!”
“B-But I did scold my siblings about that.” Oliver added, as he lifted his head up.
“And did they stop with the pranks?”
Oliver went silent and turned away, “n-no. B-But they promised no more scary videos.”
“How about the time they put itching powder on our hats and the roller skates at Rollerink?” Audrey reminded them.
“Or when they filled one of the pools at Seaventure with instant jello.” Pen added.
“Do I need to bring up when they put ghost pepper hot sauce in the salsa dip at the annual employee potluck.” Hayden added.
Sara’s eyes widened remembering each and every one of the twins pranks, realizing it was hard to defend the kids.
“Look guys,” Oliver spoke up. “My siblings can be chaotic with their pranks, but they’re sweet once you get to know them.”
“What we need to do is give them a taste of their own medicine.” Hayden said, ignoring what his boss had to say.
The workers looked at one another and smirked, agreeing with Hayden. Only Wiatt and the founders disagreed with the idea, as Ben and Liz were kids and knowing most of the employees, some would take the pranks too far.
“Do you really think getting revenge on them will make a difference?” Oliver asked.
Hayden was about to reply, but Audrey smacked him in the back of the head to keep his mouth shut. He glared at his friend, who shot him a glare back. Hayden crossed his arms and cursed under his breath.
“If anything, could I at least talk to them first and ask them to tone down the pranks?” Oliver suggested.
The Dreamworld workers looked at each other and nodded in agreement. “I guess that sounds fair.” Lisa replied.
“Agreed, darling.” Lewis added.
Oliver sighed and smiled, “great, I’ll go speak to them right-” Oliver paused as he tried to get up, but couldn’t. “What the?!” He struggled to get up, but saw he was glued to his seat. “Uh…I need some help.”
“Here, we’ll help you dar-” Lewis paused as he and Sara tried to get up from their seats and saw they too were glued to their seats as well.
“Come on!” Sara struggled, as some of her co-workers chuckled seeing Sara stuck.
As Lewis was struggling to get out of his seat, he looked up at his boyfriend, “darling, think you could help us?” He asked.
Wiatt nodded, but as he tried to help his boyfriend and his friends he saw he was glued to his seat as well. This horrified the two co-workers next to him, Rain and Athena. Wiatt looked at everyone, and announced, “is it just me or have we all been glued to our seats?”
The Dreamworld Employees looked at each other before trying to get up and saw Wiatt was correct, they were all glued to their seats. Everyone struggled to get up, cursing at the fact they were stuck. Some fell on the floor due to the struggle.
Outside of the meeting room, Ben was shocked and stared at his twin sister in disbelief, “I thought you were only going to glue Sara and Lewis’s seats?” Ben asked, whispering.
“I was.” Liz whispered back, “but I don’t know where everyone sits, so,” she then revealed the super glue, which was partially empty, “I glued all the chairs.” She then gave a sheepish smile.
Ben looked at the employees still struggling to get up before giving a smirk to his sister, “your the best twin sister ever.” He said.
“I know!” Liz beamed.
The twins decided to go to MadHouse and hide from the workers for a bit and play. As they left, Eric, Starlight and Ribbondancer came into the meeting room and dropped their jaws seeing everyone struggling to get out of their seats.
“Eric, help us!” Lewis yelled.
“Let me guess, Liz and Ben?” Ribbondancer asked.
“YES!” Everyone yelled.
Ribbondancer chuckled, “looks like they put you guys in a…sticky situation.”
The Dreamworld Employees groaned, not in the mood for one of Ribbondacner’s puns. Not even Eric and Starlight were amused.
“Ribbondancer, please read the room,” Starlight told him.
Ribbondancer blinked, “I don’t know how to read.”
“Star! Think you can help us?” Wiatt yelled.
“I’ll see what I can do, darling!” Starlight yelled before leaving to find something in the theater.
“I’ll help too,” Eric said, as he and Ribbondancer followed behind.
Hayden used his chair to hop over to Oliver, “so what the fuck are you going to do now Oliver,” he asked.
Oliver whimpered as he felt the tension in the room. Everyone was glaring at him wondering if he’s going to give his siblings a slap on the wrist or give them a taste of his own medicine. The taller founder felt the pressure, and sighed deciding what was best. “If you guys want to prank them back, please don’t do anything that would hurt them.” He said.
“Deal!” Everyone yelled.
After two hours of being stuck in their chairs, the workers were finally free thanks to Starlight and the other animatronics. Afterwards, the workers split into groups to devise their plan to get back at the Acrimony twins.
Audrey, Pen, and Lisa were enjoying some potato chips as they watched kids play. Ben and Liz came by, feeling safe to come out and see the workers just relaxing and eating chips.
“H-Hey,” Liz said, “What’s going on?”
“Not much, just snacking on chips.” Lisa replied.
“Oooh, could we have some?”
Lisa nodded and handed a closed can to the twins, who upon handing the can looked at each other knowing they weren’t that dumb. Liz “tried” to open the can, but saw it was hard to open. “Think you can open it, bro?” She asked.
Ben nodded as Liz handed him the can of potato chips and he “tried” to open it. “Nope, I can’t either.” He said.
The twins looked around and smiled seeing their victim, a young man at the facility named Andrew. “Hey guys!” He beamed.
“Oh Andrew!” Liz yelled.
“Yeah!” He replied.
“Could you help us open this?” Ben asked.
“Sure.” The young man took the can ready to open it, ignoring the warnings from his fellow co-workers.
“W-Wait Andrew! Don’t open-” Audrey warned.
Andrew opened the can and out came a bunch of fake snakes.
“That…” Audrey finished seeing she was too late.
The prank gave him a scare, but he ended up laughing, “good one you two!” He beamed before walking off, continuing to laugh.
At first, Audrey was in disbelief, but was relieved Andrew responded well to the joke.
“Really?” Ben spoke up. He and his sister smirked with their arms crossed.
Audrey and the other two co-workers turned to the twins.
“Fake snakes in a can?” Ben asked. “That prank is so elementary school!”
Liz chuckled, “agreed!” She added. The two gave each other a fist bump before walking off.
Audrey sighed as she looked over at her co-workers. “You two got better plans?”
Lisa and Pen shook their heads in reply. Audrey grabbed her phone and texted Hayden, letting him know their plan failed.
Hayden felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket, and went to check on it. He read the message and sighed looking at Wiatt and Oliver.
“Well, Audrey failed.” Hayden said. “So that leaves us and Lewis’s team.”
Wiatt sighed, looking at the can of silly string, “Oliver, you sure this prank is going to work.” He said.
Oliver nodded, “this is the one prank I use on my siblings from time to time.” He said as he shook the can.
“If you say so,” Wiatt replied.
The three guys held the cans of silly strings as they searched for the twins. As they were searching, they heard giggling and footsteps which made Oliver nervous.
“Oliver, relax,” Hayden said, “your siblings are trying to prank us.”
“R-Right.” Oliver replied, giving a nervous chuckle.
Hayden rolled his eyes as he and Wiatt kept walking. Oliver sighed and took a deep breath. It wasn’t long till a prop snake dropped down in front of Oliver causing him to scream and spray the silly string at Hayden and Wiatt.
“Oliver what the fuck?” Hayden yelled.
Oliver looked up and saw Hayden and Wiatt covered in yellow silly string. “Oops, s-sorry.” Oliver apologized.
Hayden was growling seeing his boss had sprayed him and his co-worker with silly string. As payback he then pointed the can of silly string at his boss and sprayed pink silly string at him. Wiatt tried to stop him, but Hayden sprayed it at the mechanic as well.
Wiatt saw he was covered in so much silly string and growled spraying Hayden with green silly string. Oliver ended up spraying Hayden and Wiatt again to defend himself.
Ben and Liz came out from their hiding place with their prank.
“Was that supposed to happen?” Liz asked, turning to her brother.
Ben shrugged, “I don’t know,” He replied, “but it’s nice to see them having fun!”
Liz nodded and the two left their hiding space to go see who else is trying to prank them.
Lewis was passing by to see how Oliver was doing with his revenge prank, but saw his best friend, his boyfriend, and co-worker spraying each other with silly string. He was flabbergasted, but just rolled his eyes and sighed before leaving the boys to have fun.
Lewis went over to the Madhouse and saw Sara setting up their prank for the twins. The female founder heard footsteps and turned to see her best friend. “Well darling, it’s just us.”
“What?” She asked surprised, “What happened with Audrey and Oliver’s group?”
“Ben and Liz obviously.” Lewis replied. “However, Oliver’s group is more along the lines of just messing around at this point.”
Sara sighed, “well hopefully our plan works.” She said.
“What plan did you come up with?” Lewis asked.
“Figured we do something simple, so…” Sara then revealed two cream pies, which made Lewis groan, covering his face with his hands.
“Sara, really?” Lewis grumbled.
“That's all I can come up with!” Sara groaned. “Plus Oliver said we can’t hurt them, and this idea is sweet.” She gave a sheepish smile for the pun she just made, but Lewis wasn’t amused. Sara’s smile dropped as she sighed, “no puns?”
“Nope.” Lewis replied.
Sara sighed, “alright let’s just set up the prank.” She said, handing one of the pies to her best friend.
Lewis nodded and grabbed one of the pies from Sara, and the two made their way to MadHouse. Once there they left the pies on the table where the candy was placed. There they hid in the entrance of the MadHouse maze and waited for the twins.
“When they come and see the pies we slam it on them.” Sara whispered.
Lewis’s eyes widened, “what?!” He asked.
Soon the two heard footsteps and Sara shushed her friend as someone was coming over. However, it wasn’t the twins, but Jake and James.
“Oooh pie.” James beamed, rubbing his hands together. Before he could grab the pie, Jake stopped him.
“Hold on James.” Jake said. “Let’s make sure this isn’t Ben and Liz pranking us.” Using his finger he scraped some cream off the pie and tasted it. Jake’s eyes widened as he took the pie and kept tasting the cream. “It’s good!”
“Really?” James asked. He took the other pie and tasted it, smiling with how sweet it tasted. “You're right!” He then started to break pieces of the pie and eat it.
Sara groaned, covering her face with her hands as Lewis patted her back. Her plan failed due to two of the Walker Triplets taking the bait.
“Hey let’s take this to John! He’ll love it!” James exclaimed.
“Yeah!” Jake exclaimed. The two brothers ran off to go find their older brother.
Sara and Lewis came out of their hiding space, however the two didn’t realize that Ben and Liz were getting ready for their next prank. Liz felt uneasy about this one though, as she didn’t want Lewis or Sara harmed.
“You sure you want to do this?” Liz asked her brother. “I mean we should’ve done this prank to Hayden or someone else, but Lewis and Sara? Really?”
“Liz, it’s a bag of flour. Not a bag of rocks.” Ben replied. Liz still wasn’t sure about the prank, but Ben thought of something to get Liz into the prank. “Remember, Sara denied you the VR Headset and she let me use it.”
Liz's eyes widened and gave a smirk, “alright, just this one time.”
Ben smiled and used a giant slingshot they got from Ribbondancer, which he got from an unknown source. Liz put the bag of flour inside the slingshot as her brother launched it at the two founders.
A loud poof was heard as a cloud of white smoke appeared as well as Sara and Lewis coughing.
“Ben! Liz!” The founders yelled at the same time.
Realizing the two did go far, Ben decided now would be a good time to make a break for it. “Quick, let's go!” He yelled as he took his sister’s hand as they ran off.
Back in the meeting room, Audrey, Pen, and Lisa waited on Oliver and Sara’s teams to come back.
Oliver, Wiatt, and Hayden showed up all covered in silly string. Hayden glared as he tried to remove some of it from his body.
Audrey’s mouth dropped as she saw the mess her boss, and co-workers were in. “What happened to you three?” She asked.
“Blame our boss.” Hayden replied. “He got so scared he sprayed Wiatt and I with silly string!”
“I said I was sorry!” Oliver yelled. “Besides you two sprayed each other with silly string too.”
“Only because Hayden started it.” Wiatt replied as he used a cloth to clean his glasses to remove the silly string from them.
“Oh fuck you, Nicholson!” The janitor was held back by Audrey, before he could do something he’d regret towards the mechanic.
Wiatt glared and wouldn’t mind going into a fight with his co-worker. However, he dropped that thought when he saw Lewis and Sara walk in. The two almost looked like ghosts with how much flour coated their bodies. Their eyes widened seeing Wiatt, Oliver and Hayden covered in silly string.
“What the fuck happened to you two?” Wiatt yelled.
“Ben and Liz.” The two founders said at the same time.
Wiatt went to his boyfriend and tried to brush off as much flour off him as he could, coughing in the process as puffs of flour were in the air. Audrey helped with cleaning Sara off using a towel.
“I don’t get it!” Sara exclaimed. “How do you stop them?”
Oliver sighed as he tried to remove the silly string off him. “Well as Ben got older his pranks got better, now he brought Liz to the dark side.” He explained.
“So what can we do to stop them?” Pen asked.
“You mean what can Oliver do to stop them?” Hayden corrected. “It’s his siblings, he should be the one to stop them.”
The group turned to Oliver who felt nervous seeing his friends and coworkers staring at him. He sighed, but before he could utter a word the three teams heard the twins scream not too far from the meeting room.
“Ben! Liz!” Oliver exclaimed, quickly getting up and running to where the screams came from.
Lewis groaned, “don’t tell me.” He started, turning to Sara. “Another scary prank.”
The three groups followed Oliver and they stopped seeing the twins before bumping into each other and falling on the taller founder like dominos. The group groaned till Oliver looked up and saw the twins hanging upside down by their feet by a rope.
Oliver got out of the pile and went over to his siblings and tried to untie the rope. Who did this to you?” He asked.
“I-I don’t know?” Liz replied. “We were going to prank someone else, and suddenly Ben tripped over a rope and we both got caught.”
As his little sister explained, Oliver was able to untie the rope, and carefully put his siblings down. “Alright, which one of you did this?” Oliver asked, glaring at his co-workers.
The workers didn’t say a word and turned to Hayden. The moody worker looked offended and stuttered. “Like I would do something like this!” He yelled.
“I mean, you’d be the one who would do a prank like this.” Pen said.
“This would be something Hayden would do.” Sara commented.
“If he did it.” Wiatt spoke up, causing everyone to turn to the mechanic. “Hayden was with me and Oliver since we split into teams, if it were him he’d split off from us.”
Hayden sighed and gave a small smile seeing one person believed him. Even if that person was Wiatt.
Oliver realized Wiatt was right, but it still begs the question who caused the prank on his siblings. “But then who?”
The workers all looked at one another wondering who it was. When they got into teams, none of the workers wanted to jump in the revenge prank, or some chickened out.
“It doesn’t matter who did it.” Ben spoke up. “You guys won. We won’t prank anyone anymore.”
The group blinked in surprise, “really?” The workers asked.
“Wait really?” Oliver asked.
“Yeah.” Liz replied. “We won’t do pranks anymore.” The twins decided to walk off and go to Trampoland to play.
The workers sighed in relief, glad for the pranks to stop at Dreamworld.
“At least for now.” Ben said with a smirk before he and his sister kept walking. The workers looked in fear realizing they were safe for now until the next prank. Whenever that would be.
Once the twins were away from the Dreamworld Employees, they made sure they were alone as a pair of colorful eyes appeared out of the shadows. “Did they fall for it?” Ribbondancer asked, appearing out of the shadows.
“Yep!” Liz replied.
Ribbondancer sighed, before letting out a chuckle. “It’s nice of you two to make your big brother and everyone at Dreamworld feel better!” He exclaimed.
Ben and Liz chuckled, “yeah.” Ben replied. “I love pranks, but we love Oliver more.”
Ribbondancer smiled and scooped the twins up and hugged them tightly. The twins chuckled and hugged the lemur animatronic back. Soon the latter eyes widened and remembered something he promised with the twins.
“Oh do you guys have my payment?” Ribbondancer asked.
The twins dug into their pockets and handed the lemur some candy as payment for his hard work. “Here you go buddy.” Ben said.
“Thank you!” Ribbondancer beamed before jumping off to enjoy his candy.
The twins chuckled and decided to spend the rest of the day at Arcadescape and play arcade games until lunch, in which they planned their future pranks that they plan to drop at Dreamworld.

Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 7- The Walker Triplets
Next chapter is here and we got a few things!
First off, angst! Yeah even though nothing truly bad happens, there is angst in the story! I’m also touching on a serious topic I never touched on before, but hopefully, I did it right.
Second, like how the main WTDW canon has fans and people who work on the show be workers. I’ve decided to do the same thing for NBH, introducing me and my friends sonas as DWE workers! To start it off I’m introducing my WTDW-sona as well as my beta reader to the mix.
Third and finally, even though I planned and wrote this fanfic I realized how dark and serious my topic choice for this chapter could be.
So, TRIGGER WARNING as it does deal with dark topics like abuse and neglect.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
It was another fun day at Dreamworld and now it was closing time. Many of the families were leaving with their kids who waved goodbye to the animatronics, who also waved back. Most of the workers were grabbing their stuff and ready to head home for the night before their shift tomorrow or to enjoy their weekend.
However, there was still someone inside the facility, or rather a trio of brothers named John, James, and Jake. The three sat by some benches at RollerRink as they waited for their parents.
James, who sat in the middle, looked between his two brothers; John sat patiently while Jake sat, nervously swinging his legs. “So…mom might have forgotten, again,” Jake said.
“Or maybe she’s upstairs waiting for us,” John replied.
“Hey if she forgot we can explore the facility at night,” James suggested. “We can play in the arcade, go through lost and found stuff, heck we can speak with the animatronics!”
The second James thought of speaking with animatronics, Jake looked over as he saw Cheer roll away, to get some rest for the night. He sighed, seeing he never had a chance to talk to the animatronic at all today. Even though he was scared of them, he wanted to speak to one of them to build confidence.
“Still scared of them, huh?” John asked, leaning in towards his brother.
“W-Well a little. I mean before they could talk I was terrified, now they're all talking and they're not as scary,” Jake explained, “but I’m just scared what to talk about with them?”
James thought and snapped his fingers once he got an idea, “Why don’t you ask them how they can talk?” He asked.
“James, you can’t just ask how they can talk? It’s part of their programming.” John explained.
James glared at his brother, “well you can’t ask what their favorite food is either?” He replied.
“True.”
Jake was tired sitting around and getting up, “look, we’ve been waiting for a long time for Mom, we should go and look for her.” He voiced. “She should be here now!”
“Jake’s right,” James said, getting up. “Mom should be here by now!”
John sighed and got up. “Oh alright, but we’re not leaving the building till we see her or her car,” he stated. His brothers nodded and went over to the elevators to get to the lobby.
James pressed the button and once heard the bell they were about to step inside until they saw Lewis and Eric inside. The two adults and the triplets’ eyes widened, staring at each other.
“Sorry! We’ll take the next one.” James chuckled as he pulled his brothers away and ran where the stairs were located.
John and Jake looked shocked and ran after their brother, “W-Why are we running?!” Jake yelled.
“That was one of the founders, Jake!” James yelled. “W-We can’t let him see us!”
“Why?” John asked. “I mean, I heard Lewis is the kindest founder, he could help us get to Mom!”
The triplets skidded to a halt seeing the doors to the stairs were closed due to being repaired. “How does the stairs need to be repaired?!” James yelled. “It’s stairs!”
The triplets froze, hearing footsteps behind them, and saw Lewis and Eric behind them. The three huddled with each other, scared and frightened of what the founder and his friend were gonna do.
Seeing they were scared, Eric stopped Lewis from getting any closer. “Are you three okay?” He asked.
Jake looked up and saw the two were concerned and weren’t walking any closer to him or his brothers.
“We’re not going to hurt you, darlings,” Lewis spoke.
Jake and his brothers loosened up and straightened up as they were face-to-face with the founder of their favorite place in the world.
Lewis chuckled, “You don’t have to be proper with me, darlings. Loosen up.”
The triplets let out a sigh and did as Lewis told them. “Sorry, you're just the founder and we want to be polite,” John explained.
The founder felt honored and felt Eric nudge him with his elbow. “Looks like you got yourself someone that looks up to you.” He said.
“Is that how you felt around me and my friends?” Lewis asked.
Eric chuckled, “pretty much.” He said.
“You know Lewis Bright?” James asked.
“Know him?” Eric replied, “I taught him everything he needed to know. I was his former teacher.”
“No way!” The triplets yelled.
“Way!” Eric exclaimed in reply. “I’m Eric Gale, and you are?”
“I’m John Walker, and these are my brothers; James and Jake,” John said introducing himself and his brothers. James gave a wide smile and waved, while Jake gave a nervous smile waving as well.
Lewis chuckled and waved at the brothers. “What are you three doing here?” He asked.
The brothers looked at each other not knowing what to tell the founder. “W-Well,” John stuttered. “We were waiting on our mom, but she hasn’t shown up yet.”
“Oh, do you want us to wait out with you?” Eric asked.
The triplets looked at one another before looking at the adults. “Uh…sure…” James replied.
The two adults led the brothers to the elevator, and once it came for them, Lewis pressed the button to head up to the lobby. Once up at the lobby, there was no one there.
“Hmm…think your mom is outside?” Eric asked.
The triplets ran to the door and saw the parking lot was empty except for the cars belonging to the founders, Eric, and one other individual.
There the triplets saw a figure walking and they smiled thinking it was their mom. “Mom!” They exclaimed, opening the door and running outside. Eric and Lewis tried to stop them, but it was too late as triplets tackled the figure outside.
Turns out the figure the triplets tackled was Wiatt, who was walking to meet up with his ride. Jake looked down and his eyes widened seeing it wasn’t their mom. “Hey, you're not our mom!” He exclaimed.
“I’m not!” Wiatt yelled as he carefully removed the triplets from them.
“Sorry, sir.” James apologized.
Wiatt sighed, “It’s fine.” He replied.
“Wiatt!” Lewis and Eric shouted as they ran outside. The founder helped his boyfriend up and brushed him off. “You alright darling?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt nodded, “I’m fine Lewis.” He reassured his boyfriend. “I think it’s in the job description to be attacked by little kids.”
Lewis chuckled, “Sorry, but these three are waiting for their mother.” He explained.
“Do you want me to help?” Wiatt asked.
“More the merrier, darling.”
Wiatt gave a light chuckle and looked around the parking lot to see if he could spot a car. “So what color is your mom’s car?”
“Uh…” The triplets trailed off. Rarely, their mom ever used her car and in those situations they would usually take the bus. The triplets tried to remember what color car their mom drove, but nothing came to mind.
The adults frowned knowing the brothers were keeping something from them. “D-Do you three even have a family?” Lewis asked.
“W-We do!” Jake exclaimed.
“It’s just our mom forgets sometimes,” John added.
Eric’s eyes widened at the triplets in horror. “H-How long has she forgotten?” He asked.
James hummed as he used his fingers to count the many times their mom had forgotten, but lost count after he got to ten. “A bunch of times, but we’re used to it.” He said.
Wiatt, Lewis, and Eric’s mouths dropped hearing this from an eight-year-old.
“Plus we were just going to sleep in the facility if she doesn’t show and then take the bus home,” James explained.
John chuckled, “N-no. We were going to check if mom arrived and call her like reasonable kids.” He said, trying to cover his brother.
Eric sighed, “well looks like we’re going to do just that.” He said. “Come on, let’s head back inside.”
The triplets followed the adults back inside the facility and went into the conference room. Lewis called over Oliver and Sara who were both still in their office finishing up for the night. He told his friends the situation at hand, and both went to the conference room where their former teacher, the triplets, and Lewis’s boyfriend were.
Out of the triplets, John was the one who learned his home number and mom’s cell phone number. Lewis tried to call the house number, but the line was disconnected.
Eric tried calling the triplets' mom’s phone number, but she never answered. He tried to call again and this time he left a voicemail.
“Hi, I’m Eric Gale. I work at Dreamworld Entertainment. I have your kids here at the facility. They need to be picked up as soon as possible as we’re closed now. Call me back, bye.”
John looked up at the older man who looked disappointed that he couldn’t reach his mom. He turned to his siblings and saw James was trying to stay awake while Jake was already asleep.
“Well.” James started, before letting out a yawn, “Jake’s asleep, guess we’ll stay here for the night.” He suggested.
“No.” The adults said at the same time. James crossed his arms and pouted.
Oliver sensed the boy’s disappointment and put a hand on his shoulder. “It’s for the best that you three don’t stay here all night.”
“Why? You guys stay here all night?”
“One,” Sara spoke up, “we’re the founders and we have a lot to work on.” She explained, “And two, where are you three going to sleep?”
“Trampoland,” James answered.
The adults blinked and looked at each other in shock and horror. “You sure about that darling?” Lewis asked. “I mean you’ll be with Ribbondancer all night, and he’s a major night owl.”
“I mean, there’s that but the trampolines there are bouncy we can jump and tire ourselves out by sleeping on them!” James explained.
“You know some of those bouncy areas do have holes and you can fall into them,” Eric explained.
James shrugged, “Quality over quantity I guess.” He said before letting out a yawn.
Eric gave a small smile and rubbed the young boy’s back. “If you need to sleep, sleep. I’ll wake you and your brother when we figure out something.” He said in a calm voice.
The young boy nodded and closed his eyes as he laid his head down on the table and fell asleep.
John gave a small smile seeing his brothers get some sleep. He too was tired but wanted to stay awake so he could hear the adults' plans.
“You should sleep too darling,” Lewis said.
“It’s fine, I usually sleep a little later than my brothers,” John reassured the founder.
“Okay,” Wiatt spoke up, “we have three triplets whose mom isn’t coming to pick them up tonight. They need a place to stay for the night.”
The Founder Trio turned to their former teacher, who looked shocked. “M-Me?” He asked. The trio and Wiatt nodded. “W-Why?”
“Well, the owner of the apartment complex hates us and would probably kick us out if we brought in the triplets to live with us,” Sara explained.
“My apartment is only for two people,” Wiatt explained.
“So, the best option is you, Eric,” Lewis added.
Eric was dumbfounded that his former students picked him to be the caretaker of the triplets. “Look I appreciate you guys choosing me, but I’m raising Carly and taking care of Oliver’s siblings. Three more is a lot!” He exclaimed.
John shushed the oldest adult as he pointed to Jake and James who were asleep.
“Sorry,” Eric whispered. He then remembered Sara had a caretaker growing up and wondered if they would be of any assistance., “Sara, do you think Celio could take in the triplets?”
Sara shook her head. “As much as they want to, Celio is busy as a therapist and helping their brother with important business.” She explained.
Eric sighed, knowing his other option was out at the moment. He then felt Oliver put a hand on his shoulder. “You're doing a great job taking care of Ben and Liz.” He said. “I believe you can handle it.”
“Plus it’s only temporary till we hear anything from their mom,” Lewis added.
“If anything, I’ll bring it up during tomorrow’s meeting,” Sara said.
“Alright,” Eric said, giving a small smile. “I’ve always trusted you three before. Guess I gotta put my trust in you again.”
The Founder Trio looked at each other and smiled.
“Yeah, wasn’t the last time you trusted those three with something, your house became a nightclub?” Wiatt asked.
Eric’s eyes widened. “Wait what?”
“Nothing!” The Founder Trio yelled running over to Wiatt. Lewis and Oliver covered his mouth, while Sara put him in a chokehold. “He said nothing.” The three glared at the smaller boy, who gave a nervous, yet muffled chuckle.
Eric was confused, but it was getting late, he’ll talk about what Wiatt brought up about the trio tomorrow. He then went to Jake and put him on his back, while he held James in his arms. John looked up at the older man and followed him out of the facility to his car.
At Eric’s house, Carly was still awake as she waited for her dad to come home. She called her father, and he said he’ll be home soon. The young girl was about to call her dad again but saw his car coming into view. Her smile widened as she ran out of the house and watched as her father pulled in.
Eric came out of the car and smiled seeing his daughter still awake. “Hi, ladybug.” He whispered.
“Where were you?” Carly asked.
Her father didn’t say a word and stepped aside to show his daughter why he didn’t come home on time. Her eyes widened as she saw the Walker Triplets, who were all asleep in the car. She looked up at her father, hoping he could explain himself.
“I’ll tell you once we’re inside,” Eric whispered.
Carly nodded and helped her father carry one of the triplets inside. She carried Jake, while her father carried James and John. The two put the triplets in the guest room before Eric led his daughter to her room, and told her everything that happened.
“I can’t believe someone, a mother even would just leave their kids alone at the facility like that!” Carly exclaimed.
“I know, ladybug,” Eric replied. “Hopefully tomorrow we’ll hear from the triplets' mother.”
Carly frowned as her father tucked her in and kissed her forehead. “Night my little ladybug.”
“Night, Dad.” Carly replied before closing her eyes and falling asleep. Eric smiled and turned off the lights in her room before closing the door softly.
Before he went to sleep he decided to check on the Acrimony twins and the Walker Triplets. First were the twins who were sound asleep, but from the looks of it, Liz was reading one of her comics before she fell asleep. Eric smiled and went to her bed, closing the book and putting it on top of her drawer. He then left the twins' room and went to check on the triplets in the guest room.
The triplets were fast asleep, hugging each other. Eric saw they were fine, closed the door, and went to his room. He changed out of his regular clothes and into his Ribbon Dancer-themed pajamas before going to bed.
The following morning, Wiatt and many of the Dreamworld workers were in the meeting room discussing with one another before the founders arrived.
The young mechanic yawned as these meetings started an hour or so early before the facility opened for the day.
The second the door opened, the founder trio and Eric came in. The latter sat down with the rest of his co-workers.
“Alright darlings, let’s settle down,” Lewis spoke up. Everyone turned to face the three founders as the meeting was about to begin. “Now before we start the meeting I do want to bring up an incident that happened last night at the facility.”
Many of the workers looked at each other in worry, confused at what happened at the facility last night. “What did happen last night?” Lisa, one of the managers asked.
“Apparently we had triplets abandoned here last night, and we couldn’t contact their mom.” Sara started. “We hoped Eric got a call back, or someone came here last night looking for them, but nothing.”
Eric cleared his throat, making everyone face him. “If I could speak Sara.” He started. “The triplets stayed with me for the night, however as much as I want to take care of them, it’s a bit much at the moment.”
“S-So,” Oliver spoke up. “We were wondering if anyone is willing to take in a pair of three 8-year-olds.”
“No.” The trio turned to face a young man around their age wearing a Madhouse uniform, with the front tips of his hair blue. He quickly got up from his seat, “No, absolutely fucking not! I’m out!” He yelled as he left the meeting room and slammed the door.
“Figured that would happen,” Sara said.
Another young man wearing glasses and a Trampoland uniform, turned to the founders, “If it's okay with you three. I can go check up on Hayden.” He said.
“Yes, Pen of course.” Lewis replied, “But before you go are you willing to take in triplets?”
Pen shook his head, “Sorry, my next-door neighbor just had a baby. I’m still standing despite the little rascal crying 12 hours a day.” He explained before going to find Hayden and calm him down.
“Well then, anyone else?” Lewis asked.
Everyone looked at one another nervously. Knowing the reaction on everyone’s faces none of them had the time or resources to take care of kids. The founders looked at one another and decided that they call upon someone.
“Lisa,” Lewis spoke up.
“S-Sorry sir,” Lisa replied. “My place doesn’t have room to take in triplets.”
Lewis glanced at Sara, who picked the girl next to Lisa talking with her friend in a MadHouse uniform. The young girl had brown hair with a purple butterfly hair clip on the right side of her hair and wore a Rollerrink uniform. “Franny.” She spoke up, causing Franny to look at her boss. “What about you?”
Franny gave a nervous chuckle, “Sorry Sara. I wish I could, but I can’t.” She replied.
Sara then looked over at the girl Franny was talking to, Gigi. The latter shook her head, “sorry.”
The female founder sighed and looked over at Oliver. The taller founder sighed and glanced at the person closest to him, Audrey. “Honestly I’d love to take them in, but for starters, my apartment is too small, and my parents moved to their new house after they retired.” She explained.
The founders groaned realizing none of their co-workers could take in the Walker Triplets and turned to Eric. The older man sighed, “Guess I’m stuck with them.” He said.
Audrey raised an eyebrow and looked up at the engineer. “What are you talking about?” She asked. “You took care of three kids already.”
Eric was confused, “what do you mean?” He asked.
The workers then pointed at the founder trio who were surprised as well. The trio looked at one another in shock before pointing at themselves, “Us.” They said at the same time. All the workers nodded in sync.
The Founder Trio and Eric looked at one another, and the former teacher let out a smile. “Well I mean you three were the best in my class.” He explained.
“And didn’t you take them to places like amusement parks and the competitions they competed in?” Audrey asked.
“Also,” Wiatt added, “from what Lewis told me, you always had them stay at your place to study or stay the night.”
The founders were chuckling nervously, realizing their co-workers did have a point. Eric did care for them, as the trio didn’t have a father figure in their lives. Sure Sara had a caretaker, but with them being a therapist there were times when they couldn’t be available.
“Fair enough,” Eric said. “I guess I’ll take care of them till we get info on their mom.”
The Founder Trio smiled and decided to end the meeting for the day. Everyone got up and went to their assigned floors and jobs, except for Wiatt who decided to stay behind with the trio and Eric.
“Do you guys want me to help?” Wiatt asked.
Lewis shook his head, “don’t worry darling we got it from here.” He reassured his boyfriend.
Wiatt nodded and looked at Eric, “so where are the triplets?” He asked.
“At home, Carly, and Oliver’s siblings are babysitting them,” Eric said.
Meanwhile at Eric’s house, Carly, Ben, and Liz were staring at the Walker Triplets who stared back. None of them knew what to do or say to each other.
“Is one of us going to say something?” Jake whispered to John.
“Not me, James?” John asked, looking at his brother.
James shook his head, but his brothers gave him a glance, which made him sigh and turn towards the older kids. “So…what do you do around here?” He asked.
“Not much.” Carly and the Acrimony Twins replied at the same time.
“Dad’s at work and usually he’ll bring us, but we need to watch you three for the day,” Carly explained.
“What about when you're not at the facility?” John asked.
“School, but it’s summer so,” Ben started and turned to his twin sister to finish his sentence.
“We just chill here, or at the facility.” Liz finished.
The triplets thought about what fun things they could do with the older kids, and James snapped his fingers as an idea came to mind. “You guys have video games?” James asked.
Carly smiled, “my dad has some old retro games he lets us play.” She said, getting up and going to a cabinet that shelved some old game systems. This caught James and Jake’s attention as they got up and looked into the cabinet, their jaws dropped seeing what kinds of games were inside.
The games Eric had were old and retro. “Pick which one you want and I’ll help you set it up,” Carly explained.
“Are these retro games?” James asked.
Carly nodded with a smile.
“These are ancient!” Jake yelled.
“Don’t say that in front of my dad, it makes his hair turn gray faster.” Carly reminded them. Jake and James chuckled at the thought of it. Carly rolled her eyes but smiled. “Well, which game system sounds fun for you guys?”
The two brothers looked at each other and pointed at the GameCube. Carly removed it from the shelf and put it down. She then opened up another cabinet and pulled out a couple of games before going over to the tv and setting up.
Back at the facility, Lewis was in his office until he got a phone call. “H-Hello?” He answered. “Uh yeah, this is Lewis Bright, one of the founders.” Lewis listened to what the person on the other line had to say. He quickly grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down everything the person over the phone told him. “T-That’s great! Thank you! we’ll go see her right now.” He hung up the phone and went over to Oliver’s office.
“Darlings!” Lewis yelled, causing Oliver and Sara to look up. “I got a call from someone who knows the triplets!”
“That’s great!” Sara beamed.
Lewis nodded, “They even gave me the address of the apartment complex they live in.” He explained.
Oliver’s eyes widened, “wait! An address?” He asked.
“Yeah, the lady over the phone, Marissa, told me her daughter knows the triplets and says their mom is sick,” Lewis explained.
Oliver and Sara looked at each other nervous about this. “Are you sure you aren’t being tricked?” Oliver asked, again. “This sounds suspicious.”
Lewis knew his timid friend was right, and that “Marissa” could be leading Lewis into a trap. “I know darling, but we need to head over there to see if the triplets' mom is okay.”
“If you said we, does that mean we’re going with you?” Sara asked.
Lewis nodded. Sara and Oliver looked at each other before Sara spoke up, “Oh alright, count me in.” She said going over to Lewis.
Oliver stuttered a bit, “B-but Sara!” He exclaimed.
“Relax, I can keep Lewis and you safe,” Sara reassured her best friend.
Oliver sighed seeing his friends were willing to go there. “Alright.” He sighed. Lewis and Sara smiled and the three went over to Eric, who was talking with Wiatt about helping him with some engineering plans.
“Darling! We got information on the triplets mom! We’re heading over there right now.” Lewis explained.
“Alright be safe you three,” Eric said to the trio.
Lewis smiled. “You and Wiatt are in charge till we get back.” He said.
Wiatt looked shocked the second he was told he was in charge. “Wait, why me?” He asked.
“You're dating a founder, so you get an automatic leadership position like Eric!” Sara exclaimed as she and her friends left.
The mechanic’s mouth dropped as he looked over at the older adult, who didn’t seem to mind being put in charge. “Do they do this when Lewis and the others are not around?” He asked.
Eric nodded, “yep, before you arrived they picked me and random co-workers or the animatronics to run Dreamworld if they aren’t around.” He explained.
Wiatt was speechless, but he didn’t know how to respond to it. “I’m just glad this building didn’t collapse.” That was all Wiatt could say.
“Eh…” Eric trailed off before chuckling. “Almost happened.”
Wiatt’s eyes widened and he turned to the engineer in shock. Eric turned and gave a sheepish smile towards the young mechanic.
The Founder Trio took Lewis’s car and drove to the address where the Walker Triplets lived. Once they arrived, the trio felt nervous thinking Oliver was right, maybe they were about to fall into a trap.
“H-Hey. We’ll be fine guys.” Sara reassured her friends. She put her hands in her pocket, which held a pocket knife as she led the group.
Lewis looked at the paper and read the apartment number. “It’s C-063, darling.” He said.
Sara nodded and the three went upstairs to where the apartment was located. They passed a few doors before finding C-063. The trio looked at each other before Lewis decided to knock on the door. The three waited for a bit, but no answer.
Oliver knocked on the door again, yet still no answer.
“Hello!” Lewis yelled. “Is someone here?”
The door unlocked and a woman with bags under her blue eyes and black hair, wearing a blue plaid robe.
The Founder Trio held their breath as the smell of alcohol came through. They tried to keep it professional in hopes of talking to the woman without upsetting her.
“What?” She groaned.
“Hi, are you Mrs. Walker?” Lewis asked, forcing a smile on his face.
Mrs. Walker sighed as she leaned through the doorway. “Yeah, who are you?” She asked.
“I’m Lewis Bright, and these are my two friends, Sara and Oliver, we own Dreamworld Entertainment,” Lewis explained.
“Ah.” Mrs. Walker took out a cigarette and lit it before putting it in her mouth and letting it out, “did the boys cause trouble?”
“N-No ma’am, they were left at the facility last night,” Sara said. “We just wanted to know why you didn't pick them up.”
Mrs. Walker said nothing and took another swing of her cigarette. “Because I was enjoying my bottle of wine.” She replied.
Sara turned to her friends, who just gave nervous looks. They never dealt with a situation like this before. Angry parents or parents in fear their kids ran off and no one could find them.
“Um…okay…” Sara trailed off. “Um, if you’d like we can drop them off here…”
Mrs. Walker’s eyes widened before she started laughing. Sara jumped and stepped back a bit holding Oliver and Lewis in fear. Mrs. Walker stopped laughing and started to cough, probably due to smoking. Once she stopped she glared at the founder trio, “I don’t care what you do with them. All I can say is they ruined my life, my marriage, everything I have going for me. If anything I hope they’re like their father and would run off with some brute.” She spat.
The founder trio felt their blood boiling as they glared at the “mother”. Now it was Oliver’s turn to step up and speak to this vile woman. “Listen here!” Oliver snapped. Lewis and Sara’s eyes widen in shock. They never heard Oliver raise his voice before. “Those are your kids! I’ve met a woman like you, and that was my own mom!” He yelled.
Sara and Lewis looked at one another, remembering Oliver’s home life sucked too. His own parents ignored him and his siblings and barely cared for them.
“It’s never your kids' fault that your life got like this, but blaming them for your misfortunes makes me sick! So you're given an option: Fix your life and care for your kids or lock up like some sore loser and never see them again!” Oliver continued, yelling.
Mrs. Walker didn’t react other than slam the door on Oliver’s face. He didn’t flinch but glared before walking back to the car. “Let’s go and tell Eric about this bitch.” He said.
“Darling,” Lewis said, reaching out to his friend.
“I’m fine, Lewis,” Oliver said coldly.
Lewis and Sara looked at one another and followed Oliver closely behind. Once they made it back to Lewis’s card, Oliver went to the front passenger seat and slammed the car door. Not long after, Lewis and Sara got into the car and drove back to tell Eric everything.
Eric made it home from another long day at the facility. Once he entered his home, he saw his daughter, the triplets, and the Acrimony Twins laughing over watching funny videos on Liz’s tablet.
“Well, looks like you guys had fun today,” Eric said.
Carly looked up and smiled. She got up from the couch and hugged her dad. “Hey Dad! How was work?” She asked.
“It was a normal day,” Eric replied, hugging his daughter back, “but I got some news for the triplets.”
The triplets looked at each other before looking up at the older man, “what is it?” James asked.
“It turns out someone found out about your mom, and Lewis and the rest of the founders are heading there now,” Eric explained.
“Oh, that’s good,” Jake replied.
Eric was confused, “good? Aren’t you three excited?”
“We are, it’s just…” Jake trailed off, but before he could explain, there was a knock on the door.
Eric turned to the door and opened it to see the founder trio looking upset. The older man knew this wasn’t good news. “What happened?” He asked.
“We need to talk,” Oliver said. “Privately.”
Eric’s eyes widened as he looked back at the triplets who frowned knowing the founders found out about their mom.
Eric took the founders to his backyard where they could tell him everything in secret. They told him everything he needed to know about the triplets’ mother and what kind of woman she was. Like Oliver, he too was angry hearing what the triplets had to go through.
Jake watched through the window and saw the anger forming on Eric’s face.
“I can’t believe it! How can a woman treat her own kids like that?!” He yelled.
The Founder Trio didn’t say anything as they didn’t know themselves. Sure, Oliver could relate to the triplets, but he couldn’t even understand why his parents never cared for him or his twin siblings.
“You're not thinking of taking them back there, are you?” Oliver asked.
Eric shook his head giving the founders some relief. “I’ll take them in. I don’t think this woman wouldn’t put up a fight for me taking her kids.” He said.
Jake smiled hearing it before he was noticed by Sara. The young boy got nervous and stopped watching the adults. He decided to head back into the bedroom he and his brothers were in.
Sara opened the door and stopped the young boy, “hey, Jake right?” Sara asked.
“Y-Yeah,” Jake replied.
“Saw you spying on us, and we want to know did you and your brothers know your mom was…” Sara‘a voice trailed off. She tried to think of a word to best describe his “mom”.
“Mean?” Jake asked. Sara turned to him. “Yeah, but John and James say she’s just tired, but I don’t think that’s true.”
Sara held her hand out for the young boy, who grabbed it as she led the young boy outside. He then took one of the empty seats and sat down facing the adults. “I-uh-I’m guessing you want me to share what’s been going on, huh?” Jake asked.
“Only what makes you comfortable,” Eric said.
Jake nodded. “Well, when our dad was around there were arguments, a lot of them going on.” He started. “I think Dad, didn’t like us since we were triplets, and said we were expensive. So, that’s when mom would abandon us like at parks, or stores. However, she would pick us up at night when Dad was asleep or someone else would give us a ride.”
The adults frowned realizing the triplets had it hard even then.
“Then a year ago, Mom and Dad got into a bad argument. and Dad left, but he hasn’t come back.” Jake continued. “After he left is when mom started to act the way she does.”
Eric frowned and went over to the young boy and put his arm around him. Jake looked up, and see the look on the grown ups eyes, he knew Eric was allowing him to stop.
However, Jake wanted to be brave and kept on going. “Not long ago, I tried calling my dad, but someone else picked up the phone, a woman named Maria.” He explained. “I heard of her before, dad mentioned she was just a friend, and that he spent the night at her place before.” Jake paused and looked at the founders, “is that normal?”
The founders and Eric were in shock. They didn’t realize it was that bad. However, none could explain to the young boy what his father was doing.
“I-It depends, darling,” Lewis said, in a low voice.
“I see,” Jake replied. “Well, mom found out, and…” He stopped, touching his bandage.
“She caused harm to you, didn’t she?” Oliver asked.
Jake nodded.
“You and your brothers don’t deserve this kind of treatment,” Oliver said.
“I know.” Jake sighed.
“Jake.” Eric started. The young boy looked at the older man who turned to face him. “My dad walked out of me too, and while my mom didn’t go the path your mom did. I understand that feeling.” He explained. “However, you and your brothers won’t be alone anymore. I’ll take you guys in and you’ll get to experience what a family is truly like.”
Jake’s eyes widened and soon they sparkled like stars, “r-really?!” He asked.
“Really,” Eric replied ruffling the young boy’s hair.
“T-Thank you,” Jake said. Soon his stomach started to rumble, which made him chuckle.
“I’m guessing you're getting hungry?”
Jake nodded, making Eric chuckle.
“Well, it’s almost dinner time. Guess I’ll start now.” Eric said. He then turned to the founder trio, “you three want to join us?”
The trio’s eyes widened, they remembered Eric was an amazing cook. “Sure!” They beamed at the same time.
“N-Need help with setting up the table?” Oliver asked. “I-I can do that.”
Jake smiled seeing the trio ask Eric for help during dinner. He sighed and followed the adults back inside knowing he and his brothers lives were about to get better.

Nothing Bad Happens-Let’s Trick or Treat (Halloween Special)
Hey guys! Got a Halloween special for Nothing Bad Happens AU for you all! I wanted to try and get started on an October month challenge, but nothing seemed to work and click with me. Not only that work and life were stressful on me at the start of October, so my motivation was out the window.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
The Halloween costumes for the founders in this fanfic are based off of @myemyehere Halloween costumes he created last year over on his art blog.
Happy Halloween!!
It was the beginning of October, and Wiatt and his fellow employees at Dreamworld were grabbing boxes filled with Halloween decorations to decorate the facility with. Audrey and Andrew had been hanging fake bats and ghosts on the ceiling, while Pen and Wiatt put Halloween stickers all over the windows.
“Hey Wiatt!” Andrew exclaimed. Wiatt looked up at his co-worker, “are you going to dress up for Halloween?”
“Dress up?” Wiatt asked.
Audrey nodded as she hung one of the bats up on the ceiling. “The Founders are allowing us to wear our costumes at work on Halloween.”
Wiatt sighed, “I’m not sure. I haven’t dressed up since high school,” he replied. That specific day was Lewis’s Halloween party, where everyone dressed up while watching horror movies. It ended an hour earlier thanks to one of Lewis’s theater buddies bringing gruesome horror movies that left everyone traumatized.
“Well, you should!” Pen exclaimed. “Most of us are doing a group dress-up.”
“Group dress up?” Wiatt asked as he put a ghost sticker on the door.
Andrew nodded as he handed Audrey the rest of the decorations. “Yeah, Audrey and her mom know how to make costumes, so we decided to dress up as characters from our favorite shows, games, and other stuff.” He explained.
“I added that it would be fun to group up with other workers if interested and we can do one series we like and dress up as those characters,” Audrey added.
Wiatt raised an eyebrow, “like a convention?”
“Exactly! Only we’ll be working!” Pen replied.
Wiatt chuckled, now thinking about it sounded fun to dress up with his fellow co-workers. “Alright, I’ll join in. What form of media will you be dressing up as?”
“Well, Andrew, Pen, and I are going to dress up as characters from Heroes of Destiny!” Audrey explained.
“We are trying to get Hayden to join us,” Pen said.
Wiatt chuckled, he heard of the comic Heroes of Destiny. It was this new pony comic series that got people hooked like the pony cartoon that aired 10 years ago. He followed the series from time to time.
Mike, who was putting fake pumpkins on the tables, said, “Alyssa and I are going to dress up as characters from Spellmania.” He explained.
Wiatt also heard of Spellmania, like with Heroes of Destiny, he’d follow the series from time to time, but the lore of Spellmania interested him.
“Well…if you want I can partner with you and Alyssa with dressing up?” Wiatt asked.
“Of course!” Mike replied.
Wiatt smiled, and so did his fellow co-workers. “Now we just need to get Hayden!” Andrew exclaimed.
“Nope! I’m not dressing up!” Hayden exclaimed as he walked by looking at his phone.
“Don’t worry I have ways,” Audrey said.
“Should I be worried?” Pen asked. Audrey shook her head in reply. “Okay.”
Wiatt chuckled as he put up more decorations with his co-workers.
Not long after, Alyssa came running by before stopping and seeing her boyfriend and co-workers. “Hey guys!” She beamed.
Mike stopped what he was doing and went over to give his girlfriend a hug and a kiss. “Hey, Lyss. What’s going on?” He asked.
“Well, Lewis pulled me aside and said if we need any props or outfit ideas for costumes we can go to Staract anytime before Halloween,” Alyssa explained.
“Awesome!” Andrew beamed.
Alyssa nodded, “I was thinking before we open, we can take turns looking for costumes.”
“That’s great!” Audrey exclaimed.
“Yeah, Mike, do you want to come with me to find stuff for our costumes?” Alyssa asked.
“Sure,” Mike replied. “Hey, Wiatt! Want to come with us?”
Wiatt looked over at his co-workers who gave him a nod. “Alright, you got it covered guys?” He asked.
“Yep! We got it!” Andrew exclaimed, giving a thumbs up.
Wiatt smiled and went off with his two co-workers to Staract.
At Staract, Starlight was leading the founders to the costume room. He opened the door and looked at three, “well darlings, with the amount of costumes in here I’m sure you’ll find a costume!” Starlight beamed. “Although, why don’t you three go to a costume store?”
“Well, when we were growing up, the three of us always made our costumes. Thanks to me!” Lewis explained, pointing at himself.
“Plus, costume stores don’t carry good costumes anymore,” Oliver added.
“And we’re not wearing cheap knock-off costumes.” Sara finished.
Starlight nodded taking in the opinions from the founders. “Understandable.” He said. “Do you guys know what you’ll dress up as?”
The founder trio looked at each other, before replying back to Starlight. “No clue.” They said at the same time.
“Well, I’ll be getting ready for my performance for today’s show. You three have fun okay?” Starlight explained.
“Okay!” The founder trio replied.
Starlight smiled and left the stage to start practicing for today’s show.
Lewis, Sara, and Oliver went through the many costumes in the dressing room, but weren’t sure what to wear. “We can do animals again,” Oliver suggested.
“Darling we did that back in high school for Carly’s 8th birthday,” Lewis replied. “Sure it would be fun, but I figured we do something new this year.”
“Okay,” Oliver replied as he kept looking.
“We could dress as the animatronics?” Sara suggested.
Lewis felt uneasy about it, but Oliver thought about it. “It would make sense since this is our first Halloween event,” Oliver replied.
“Y-Yeah.” Lewis added, chuckling nervously. “I mean it would be fun.”
Oliver was confused as to why Lewis sounded uneasy about the suggestion, but continued to find his costume. The trio spent a couple of minutes looking for outfits, until Lewis found a cape and came up with an idea. He put the cape on before looking for an outfit to complete his costume. Looking through the clothes he found the perfect outfit to complete his costume.
“Darlings, I have found the perfect costume!” Lewis announced. His friends paused searching for their costumes and saw the costume Lewis picked out. “I’m going as a vampire!”
“Oooh nice!” Sara commented. She then discovered a white coat and put it on. “What do you think? Doctor or scientist?”
Lewis and Oliver looked at one another before answering their friend. “Scientist.” They said at the same time.
Sara sighed, “alright,” She replied.
Oliver was the only one who hadn’t found a costume yet. He kept on looking until he went to the box filled with masks. Oliver dug through the box and smirked finding his costume.
“Found it!” Oliver beamed.
“You found a costume darling?” Lewis asked.
Oliver nodded and put on the mask. “Gah! I’m gonna kill you!” He yelled, wearing a hockey mask belonging to a killer role.
Sara and Lewis looked at one another not phased.
Oliver blinked in confusion and tried to scare them again. “Gah! I’m gonna kill you!” He repeated.
Sara yawned as Lewis still looked unphased. “You're going as a hockey player?” Lewis asked.
“No!” Oliver yelled, moving the mask from his face. “I’m going to be a crazy killer with a mask and a weapon!”
Sara chuckled, “Oliver, as your friend I’m going to be honest with you. You're not scary.”
Oliver glared. “Hey I can be scary!” He yelled in defense.
“Yeah right!” Sara replied.
Oliver was about to defend himself again, only for him and his friends to hear the door of Staract open and voices coming by. Oliver smirked at his friends. “Watch and learn.” He said, putting the mask back on. “Do you have a weapon?”
Sara dug into her pocket and pulled out a knife. “Here you go.”
Oliver nodded and took the knife before walking off to find and scare who just entered the Staract.
“That was a fake knife, right darling?” Lewis asked.
“What fake knife?” Sara asked,
Lewis’s eyes widened, “you didn’t.”
“I did.”
Wiatt, Mike and Alyssa entered Staract and were making their way backstage. “So have you figured out which Spellamania character you want to be?” Mike asked.
Wiatt thought for a bit, “out of all of them my favorite is Noir, so I might go as him.” He replied.
“That’s a great choice! I’ll be going as Ro because she’s so cute!” Alyssa exclaimed.
“And I’ll be going as Solo because he’s cool and I haven’t dressed as him before,” Mike added.
As the three went backstage, Oliver then jumped in front of Wiatt, Mike, and Alyssa letting out a growl while holding the knife. Wiatt and Mike flinched, while Alyssa punched Oliver in the throat. Oliver coughed holding his throat as he moved the mask from his face.
Alyssa realized her mistake and covered her mouth in shock. “Oh shit! I’m so sorry Oliver!” She apologized.
“I-It’s fine.” Oliver coughed. “I-I thought people were exaggerating… that you were strong Alyssa, but… they weren’t.”
“Again I’m so sorry!” Alyssa repeated.
“What’s going on?!” Lewis yelled as he and Sara came out from the costume room to see Wiatt, Mike Alyssa, and Oliver on the ground holding his neck.
Lewis and Sara scanned the scene and looked at Mike. “Let me guess, Oliver tried to scare you?” Lewis asked.
“Yep,” Mike replied.
“And Alyssa punched him in the neck?” Sara asked.
“Yep,” Wiatt replied.
Lewis went over to Oliver and helped him up, “you okay darling?” He asked.
“Y-Yeah.” Oliver gasped. He took a deep breath and let out. “Okay, I can breathe.”
Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief seeing Oliver wasn’t hurt.
“What are you three doing here?” Sara asked. “Aren’t you supposed to set up the Halloween decorations?”
“We were,” Wiatt spoke up, “but Mike and Alyssa brought me here to find stuff for our costumes.”
Lewis smiled as he went to his boyfriend and held his hand, “your dressing up darling?” He asked.
Wiatt nodded, “figured I haven’t done it in a while, plus everyone else was dressing up and it convinced me to do it too.” He explained.
“Amazing! What are you dressing up as?” Lewis asked.
“At first I wasn’t sure, then Mike came by and asked me if I could join his and Alyssa’s group and dress up as Spellmania characters.”
Sara’s eyes widened as she let out a snicker, “wait you three are dressing up as those sparkle dogs from that popular comic series?” She asked.
Mike and Alyssa glared, but Wiatt smirked, “Sara, didn't you read the comic, collect the plushies, and commission someone to draw your own Spellmania sona?” He asked.
Sara blushed in embarrassment, turning to Lewis. “You promised to keep that a secret!”
“Hey Wiatt is my boyfriend, so I have the right to tell him everything, darling.” Lewis replied.
Sara growled and glared at her best friend.
“Wait,” Mike spoke up. “You like Spellmania too?”
Sara blushed in embarrassment and nodded. “Y-Yes. I like the characters, they are so cute!” She beamed.
“You said that about the ponies in Heroes of Destiny.” Oliver pointed out.
Sara growled and glared at her friend, “shut up Oliver!” Oliver flinched protecting himself from Sara’s anger.
“Sorry.” He apologized.
Wiatt chuckled, “I didn’t know you were a fangirl, Sara Covetman.”
Sara grabbed Wiatt by the collar of his shirt in one hand, while she had her other hand into a fist. “Want to say that again, Nicholson?” She threatened.
Lewis quickly stepped in and removed Sara’s hand from his boyfriend’s shirt. “Alright, settle down darlings.” He said.
Sara and Wiatt calmed down, but the two still glared at each other. Wiatt then noticed his boyfriend’s costume and smiled. “Nice costume.”
Lewis didn’t realize he was still wearing his cape for his costume. “Oh thanks, darling.” He said with a blush.
Wiatt smiled, “I’m guessing you're going as a phantom, Oliver is going as a hockey player, and Sara is going as an asylum doctor.”
Lewis and his friends glared at the mechanic. “I’m going as a vampire darling.” He replied.
“Psycho killer,” Oliver added.
“Mad scientist,” Sara added.
“Close enough,” Wiatt said, giving a shrug.
“What characters from Spellmania are you dressing up as?” Sara asked.
“I’m going as Solo,” Mike replied.
“I’ll be Row,” Alyssa said.
“And I’ll be going as Noir,” Wiatt added.
“Awesome darlings!” Lewis beamed. “Well, come inside the costume room, there’s plenty of outfits that could help your costume.”
Wiatt and his friends smiled and walked in as they went to look for their costumes.
Starlight then came in from behind the Founder Trio. “So did you guys find your costumes?” He asked.
“We did!” Lewis beamed.
“Great! Now the animatronics and I have been discussing some ideas on what we can do for this Halloween party, and we got a ton of ideas!” Starlight explained as he pulled out a list that touched the ground.
The founder's eyes widened seeing how long the list was. “Oh boy.” They groaned at the same time.
It's Halloween, and after some fun Halloween events during the month, the big day has finally arrived. The founder trio were putting on their costumes, with Lewis in the bathroom, putting on makeup to get the vampire look. Once he was done, he grabbed the fake vampire teeth he bought and put it inside his mouth.
“Hehehe.” Lewis chuckled, as he brought the cape close to his face.
A knock was heard, causing Lewis to turn. “Come in, darling.” He said, speaking in an eastern European accent.
The door opened revealing Oliver wearing brown overalls over a dark orange t-shirt, brown shoes, and the mask he found on the side of his head. “Do you have anything red I can borrow? I want to add fake blood to the costume.”
“Hmm…” Lewis thought. “I think Sara has red paint in her room.”
Oliver smiled, “thanks, Lewis.” He said before leaving the bathroom. He went over to Sara’s room and knocked on the door. “Sara, could I borrow red paint from you?”
“Sure, give me a second,” Sara replied through the other side of the door.
Sara just put her lab coat on and went under her bed to grab her paint kit and found a tube of red paint for Oliver. She went to the door and opened it, giving the paint to Oliver. She then saw his costume and had to comment.
“Without the mask, you look like a farmer,” Sara said.
Oliver glared and was ready to squirt paint at her, causing Sara to retreat to her room and closing the door to protect herself.
Oliver chuckled and squirted some paint on his costume to create fake blood splatter. “Perfect.” He then put the tube of paint down and put his mask on.
Lewis came out of the bathroom and smiled, “you guys ready?” He asked.
“I am!” Oliver exclaimed.
“Hold on!” Sara yelled, causing her friends to turn to her room. She came out of her room wearing her costume, sporting a pair of goggles and dark boots. Her hair was tied to a bun, but there were a few strands sticking out. “Okay ready!”
The Founder Trio then left their apartment hopped into Sara’s car, and drove to the facility.
Upon arriving at the facility, they see Eric, Carly, Wiatt, Mike, and Alyssa already inside and in their costumes.
Eric wasn’t wearing a costume, but he wore a variant of his usual hoodie, which was orange with a pumpkin on it.
Carly wore a ladybug-inspired 80’s outfit with her roller skates, and her hair styled in two puffy buns and a sweatband.
Wiatt’s Noir costume had him wearing a gold t-shirt over a black jacket, a green bandana around his neck, black pants that he painted gold, and black goes with gold laces. He also colored his with red, orange, and gold colors thanks to some hair color spray. He also sported a pair of black dog ears.
Alyssa’s Row costume had her wearing a tan colored dress with multi-colored flowers on the bottom of it, and brown shoes with pink colored lace on the left and blue colored lace on the right. She wore a green, blue, and pink wig with a pair of brown dog ears.
Mike’s Solo costume had him wear a green t-shirt, dark green pants, miss-matched socks, red wings, and a multi-colored tail. He wore a teal, yellow, and dark blue wig and green dog ears.
Lewis’s eyes widened seeing his boyfriend in his costume. “Wow, darling you look…look…” he trailed off trying to find the best word to describe his costume.
“Amazing darling?” Wiatt asked, mimicking Lewis’s accent.
Lewis glared as Wiatt chuckled seeing his reaction over using his accent on him. Soon Lewis grabbed his boyfriend and gave him a bunch of kisses on the cheek.
“Gah! Lewis!” Wiatt exclaimed, laughing.
Lewis stopped giving his boyfriend kisses and gave him a smirk. “What? you deserve it.” He replied before kissing his boyfriend more.
Sara and Oliver chuckled before turning to Eric and Carly. “I’m surprised you didn’t dress up Eric. You loved dressing up.” Oliver said.
“Funny thing, I couldn’t find a good costume and I ended up forgetting. Luckily I had this so I’m still in the spirit.” Eric explained.
Oliver chuckled, “where are Ben and Liz?” He asked.
“They’re here, just hiding in hopes to scare someone.” Eric replied.
“Ah,” Oliver replied. He smirked and chuckled, hoping to scare his siblings first before they did.
“So, Carly?” Sara asked. “I see you've decided to be a ladybug roller skater.”
“Yep! I wanted to be a ladybug one last time before I turned 14 and I figured I got creative.” Carly explained. “So I went as an 80's roller skater ladybug edition.”
“Awesome!” Sara beamed.
Soon Sara was tackled to the ground by an unknown blurr. She almost panicked till she heard a familiar chuckle. She looked behind her to see James, dressed as a pirate.
“Hi, Miss Sara!” James exclaimed.
Sara sighed, “Hi James.” She said, relieved. “Don’t tackle me like that again.”
“Sorry!” James apologized as he got off her.
“You’re fine,” Sara said as she got up. There she saw James' other brothers in their costumes. John was a wolf wearing a pair of wolf ears and tail while Jake was a ghost, but by the looks of it Jake’s costume had one too many holes.
“Like our costumes?” John masked.
“They look amazing darling!” Lewis exclaimed. “Although, what happened with your costume, Jake?”
Jake chuckled, as he lifted up the sheet. “I had trouble with the scissors.”
“Still it looks familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.” Eric said, trying to figure out where Jake’s costume came from.
Soon the door to the facility opened and Hayden was heard complaining as Pen, Lisa and Audrey came in their costumes, which were the characters from the comic Heroes of Destiny.
Pen was dressed as Prince Castor, Lisa, and Audrey were dressed as Lullaby and Summer, finally, Hayden was dressed as Prince Oberon. Their outfits were similar to the ones the characters wore in the comics, as well as a pair of pony ears and tail.
Wiatt and Sara chuckled seeing Hayden dressed as the “Prince of Darkness.” The grumpy worker glared at his boss and co-worker, which made them stop chuckling.
“Wow! Hayden your costume is great!” Andrew beamed. He wore a bat costume, which confused Lewis.
“Uh, are you a vampire darling?” Lewis asked.
Andrew shook his head, “nope, just a regular bat, like you Lewis.” He replied.
Lewis gave a small glare to his co-worker, “I’m a vampire, darling.”
“Tomato, Tomahto.”
“Oliver.” A pair of voices spoke up.
Oliver turned to see his siblings in their costumes. Liz was dressed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Ben was the Mad Hatter.
Oliver chuckled, “wow, your costumes are great!” He beamed.
“Thanks! Carly helped us pick it out!” Liz beamed, as she twirled around in her costume.
“I love your killer costume Oliver,” Ben commented. “But…I don’t think anyone would be scared of it.”
Oliver glared. “Hahaha. Very funny.” He replied.
The group started laughing before getting started with work.
The day was normal, except many of the guests were in costumes and having fun as usual. By nighttime, the Starlight Halloween Party started. Eric and Carly took the Walker Triplets, Ben and Liz out to trick or treat at a local shopping center before having them come back to enjoy the rest of the party.
“Wow, your ideas made this party a hit darling!” Lewis exclaimed to Starlight.
“Thank you,” Starlight replied proudly.
“I’m surprised you or the others didn’t wear a costume?”
“Well, it’s hard to get clothes on us,” Starlight said, rubbing the back of his head.
At the party, Oliver smirked, hoping to scare one of his co-workers in his costume. There he saw Audrey, Hayden, and Andrew talking while sipping on some punch.
“This will be an easy scare,” Oliver said as he put on the mask and quietly sneaked up behind them.
Andrew took notice of the taller founder and smiled. “Hey, Oliver!” He beamed.
Oliver froze and groaned, “Andrew!” He yelled.
“What? I was just saying hi.” Andrew replied.
“Were you trying to scare us?” Hayden asked.
Oliver groaned. “Yes.”
Hayden chuckled. “Sorry buddy, but you're not scary.”
Oliver glared at his co-worker. “He’s right,” Audrey replied. “Your costume is cute.” The three then walked away to join their other co-workers who were dancing on the dance floor.
The taller founder was speechless. He wasn’t cute, he was supposed to be scary!
Suddenly, Carly, the triplets, Ben, and Liz came inside the facility looking upset. Liz looked like she was crying as Carly rubbed her back.
“Ben! Liz! What happened?” Oliver asked.
“Some teenage jerks took our candy!” John exclaimed.
Oliver’s eyes widened, “what?!”
“They’re some kids at the local high school who like to mess with the kids at our school,” Carly explained. “Looks like they brought the tricks tonight for Halloween.”
Liz sniffled as she wiped the tears from her eyes, “They took our candy, and when I tried to demand it back they pushed me.” She cried.
“I tried to help her, but those punks pushed me too,” Ben explained.
Oliver growled upset that someone would hurt his younger siblings. He then realized he was in costume and had the best idea he ever came up with. “I’ll be right back.” He said, putting on his mask and walking out the door.
The kids looked at the taller founder and each other. “He’s going to scare them?” Ben and Liz asked at the same time.
“Yep!” The triplets and Carly said at the same time.
Then James had an idea, “I’m going to get someone to help him.” He said, walking off to find someone to help Oliver, however, he went away from the workers and went to the back where the founders’ offices and maintenance room is.
James looked through the window of the maintenance room and smirked seeing the animatronic he was looking for was in there. “Perfect.” He said, opening the door.
Oliver walked for miles looking for the teenagers who stole the candy from his younger siblings and their friends. He heard chuckling coming not far behind as he saw three teenagers scare a group of kids. Not long after they took their candy and put it into a giant bag.
Oliver glared and put on his mask as he got the knife that Sara gave him ready to go and went in front of the teens. “Hey!” Oliver shouted.
“Hey! Move out of the way nerd!” One of the teens yelled.
“You stole candy from my younger siblings! I want it back!”
The teens looked at each other before laughing. “Yeah right. Well, give you back your candy!”
Oliver glared as took the knife from his pocket, which made the teens go quiet. “Wow, a fake knife, good one.” A female teen commented.
What Oliver didn’t notice was footsteps coming up from behind. One of the teens looked to see a shadow with glowing white eyes and white teeth.
“G-Guys.” The teen whimpered to his friends.
“You got three seconds to give me my sibling’s candy back or else…one…” Oliver started.
The teens looked up and shivered seeing the figure behind Oliver. The figure that came to view was Winnie.
“Two…” Oliver held the knife ready to stab the teens.
The teens stepped back as they ran off screaming, leaving the bag of candy behind.
Oliver removed the mask and laughed in glee. “I did it! I did it!” He cheered. “I told everyone I can be scary and I did it!” As he cheered he turned around and froze in fear seeing Winnie.
The Pegasus animatronic smiled as James appeared behind him. “Hi, Mr. Acrimony. I brought a friend to help you scare those big dummies!”
Oliver turned pale as a ghost as he fainted on the spot.
“You're going to carry him right?” James asked Winnie.
Winnie sighed. “I guess I have to!” He groaned. The Pegasus animatronic grabbed the founder, while James carried the bag of candy as the two made it back to the facility.
Back at the facility, Ben and Liz were enjoying the candy that James, Oliver and by extension Winnie saved. Oliver was still passed out as Lewis tried to fan him, in hopes he’d wake up. However, James had to be scolded by Sara and Eric for taking one of the animatronics out into the public.
“James Walker, you know you weren’t supposed to be taking the animatronics out of the facility without my permission!” Sara yelled.
“You could’ve gotten us in trouble or worse!” Eric exclaimed.
James sighed, “I’m sorry Eric, sorry Miss. Covetman. I just wanted our candy back.”
Sara and Eric looked at each other and sighed. “I know, but next time just tell us if something happens. I know how bullies can be, and they can be a pain.” Sara explained giving a small smile.
“Alright!” James replied with a smile. Sara and Eric gave a light chuckle as the female founder ruffled the kid’s head. James chuckled and went to his brothers and friends to enjoy some Halloween candy.

Can A Human Date A Merman Chap. 1-The Start of a Fairytale
Another new WTDW fanfic by me?! Yes! I have a few ideas on the brain for WTDW fanfics and this was one of them. I originally planned to write this for Mermay, but I was focused on my other WTDW fanfics for a while.
For those who’ve followed me for a while I did have a mermaid AU for the A Hat in Time fandom, which I’ll hopefully get back into, but I wanted to write a mermaid AU for WTDW too and the ideas I have for this are so cute! Hopefully, you guys love it!
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
Happy Hollow Beach was just like any other beach, however many of the townsfolk have told stories of sea monsters and even merfolk living deep in the waters. However, some claim to be old town legends passed down from generation to generation.
Despite the claims, this was Lewis Bright’s favorite place to go to since he and his mother moved here a few years ago. The eight-year-old boy loved coming to bask in the sunlight, collecting seashells, and exploring around the beach.
Today was like any other summer day. Lewis spent the first hour on the beach finding seashells before going to one of the tidepools to relax.
The tidepools were Lewis’s favorite place on the beach as it was hidden away, and very few people came around there. He could read a book or relax without having to hear other people running around on the beach.
The young boy took off his sandals and slowly dipped his feet in the cool water. He let out a sigh and let the coolness rush through him.
As he relaxed, he heard a splash coming not too far from the tidepools. He quickly turned and saw what looked like a tail. Lewis got up, put his sandals back on, and walked over to see a kid his age swimming in the ocean.
“Hey!” Lewis yelled.
The kid turned and quickly dived back into the water, Lewis’s eyes widened seeing a mermaid tail on them. He removed his glasses and cleaned them thinking he was just seeing things, before putting them back on. The kid didn’t pop back out of the water and Lewis walked over to where they were swimming.
Once Lewis got close enough he sat down and soon a pair of brown eyes came up from the water. The eyes glanced at the other boy, who waved.
“H-Hello,” Lewis said.
The kid dived back into the water.
“W-Wait!” Lewis yelled. “I-I’m not going to hurt you!”
The kid slowly came out of the water and was able to show his face. Lewis blushed to see the kid and got close to them, as the kid did the same.
“A-Are you a mermaid?” Lewis asked.
The kid gasped and using their teal tail splashed water at the human boy, who shielded himself from the sea water being splashed into his face.
“H-Hey!” Lewis yelled. Once removing his arm the merkid was gone. Lewis looked around hoping to find them, but sighed knowing he scared them off.
Lewis sighed and got up deciding to go home from the beach early today. However, just as he was about to leave, a splash of water hit his back causing him to shriek. He turned to see the merkid again, chuckling that he got him.
“Oh, so that’s how you want to play, huh?” Lewis asked, smirking. He went back to the water and splashed the merkid back.
The merkid shrieked and laughed before splashing Lewis back. The two kids kept splashing one another and laughing. Lewis didn’t care he was going to be soaking wet going home, he was having fun.
After a bit of splashing each other, the two stopped and laughed. Lewis smiled and got close to the merkid, “so you are a mermaid.”
The kid frowned and turned, which made Lewis concerned. “Well, technically I am, but I’m a merman.” The kid spoke.
“Oh.” Lewis realized. “Sorry, darling.”
“It’s fine.” The merman replied.
“Well, what’s your name? I’m Lewis Bright.” Lewis introduced himself.
The merman was about to open his mouth to say his name, but closed it as he blushed in embarrassment sinking into the water.
Lewis frowned, “what’s wrong? Don’t you have a name?” He asked.
“I-I do!” The merman exclaimed. “It’s just… my name is very girly and I hate it.”
“What is it?”
The merman ushered the human boy closer. He leaned in and the merman whispered his name to him before blushing red.
Lewis chuckled, “okay! Your name is really cute, but it is very girly!” He laughed. The merman groaned as he splashed Lewis with his tail. The human boy coughed as some seawater got into his mouth. “Sea water! Yuck!”
“You deserve it.” The merman replied.
“Sorry darling.” Lewis apologized. Suddenly he got an idea, “hey why don’t I give you a new name?”
The merman looked surprised as he faced the human boy. “A-A new name?” He asked.
Lewis nodded, “something you like and what I can call you.”
The merman thought for a bit and agreed on it, anything better than his birth name. “If you can think of something I like then it’s okay with me.” He said.
“Awesome!” Lewis exclaimed. He then tried to think of male names that would fit his new friend. “Michael?”
The merman shook his head.
“Hmm…Sunny? Henry? Jeremy?” Lewis asked.
“Nope.” The merman replied, glaring.
Lewis thought harder, and his eyes widened as an idea came to mind. He remembers reading a horror series about a boy exploring haunted places with the help of a star. “What about, Wiatt?”
The merman blinked and turned. “Wiatt?” He asked. Lewis nodded. The merman thought and said the name again and smiled. “I like it.”
“Alright, it’s nice to meet you Wiatt.” Lewis said with a beaming smile.
Wiatt chuckled, “it’s nice to meet you too Lewis.” He replied.
“So Wiatt,” Lewis started as he took off his sandals again and dipped his feet in the water again, “what are you doing around here?”
Wiatt dived underwater and seconds later popped out and showed Lewis his seaweed bag filled with random items. He opened the bag and inside were shells, jewels, and trinkets. “Treasure Hunting.” He answered. “I like to explore different islands and beaches to collect items.”
Lewis smiled and gave a light chuckle. Wiatt reminded him of the mermaid from the movie, the Little Mermaid. “Amazing!” He beamed. Wiatt nodded. “How does your family feel about it darling?” Wiatt frowned and turned away. Lewis saw the merman’s change in emotion and frowned. “Oh s-sorry.”
“It’s fine.” Wiatt replied. “I lost my family recently, so I’m one of the few merfolk left.”
Lewis frowned not knowing what to say, he then reached out his hand, which confused the merman. “Well at least you got a friend.” He said.
Wiatt chuckled and held Lewis’s hand. “Thanks Lewis.”
Lewis smiled slightly blushing.
“Lewis!” A female voice called out.
The young boy let go of the merman’s hand, as he recognized the voice.
“Lewis! Come on, it's almost time for dinner!”
“Mom!” Lewis exclaimed. He quickly pulled his feet out of the water and put back on his sandals. Before he could head over to his mom, he turned to his new friend feeling bad for leaving him so abruptly. “I-I don’t mean to leave you so soon, but think I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Wiatt smiled and nodded, “I’ll be waiting right here.” He said.
“Great! See you tomorrow, darling!” Lewis yelled before running off.
Wiatt blushed at being called “darling,” and smiled before grabbing his treasures and leaving the beach to discover more hidden treasure.
Lewis’s mother, Danica, waited by the beach looking for her son. It’s been a while, and she hoped her son didn’t drown or went further away from the shoreline. Before she could go looking for him, she saw her son running over.
“Mom!” Lewis yelled.
“Lewis!” Danica beamed. Once her son was closer to her, she saw how soaking wet he was. “Lewis, why are you all wet?”
Lewis looked at himself and forgot he and Wiatt were splashing each other. “Oh I accidently fell into the ocean.” He lied.
His mother sighed, “well luckily I brought your towel. Come on, we got to head home for dinner.” She said, handing her son his towel that had stars and planets on them.
He took the towel and wrapped it around him. “Thanks, Mom,” he said. Danica smiled and wrapped her arm around him as the two walked home to eat dinner. Lewis looked out at the ocean hoping his new friend Wiatt was alright. He couldn't wait to see him again tomorrow and hear what adventures Wiatt went while he was gone.

Dreamers of Myths & Legends Chap. 7- The Piplup Plan
Next chapter is here!
So I wrote this chapter while I was finishing up Chapter 6 because I got so many ideas for this chapter back when I was working on Chapters 3 through 5. I’m excited for this chapter as this one was fully planned before anything else PLUS we get a new Dreamworld character into the mix.
Big thanks to my beta reader @gigilefache
Enjoy!
It was a normal day at Eric’s facility. The man was typing away on the computer till he got an oncoming video call. He smiled seeing the call was from a student of his. He answered the call and on the video, the screen showed a young girl around Dream Quartet’s age, with blonde hair with her tips dyed blue, hazel eyes, and wearing a blue t-shirt, a red whistle around her neck, and a dark blue skirt.
“Hi Mr. Gale.” She beamed waving to her former teacher.
“Alyssa!” Eric beamed. “How are things in Sinnoh?”
“Great!” Alyssa replied. “I was wondering if Lewis and the others would like to join me on a special research at the beach?”
Eric smiled, he knew the four would love to travel to another region as they’ve been in Kanto for a while. “I’ll go and ask them.” He said.
“Alright.”
Eric got up and went to the observatory, where the four were going to work on training.
At the observatory, Ridley stood in front of Oddity, Sprigatito and Skiddo. The four were preparing to practice their combinations and attacks.
“Alright,” Carly said. “You ready Ridley?”
“Ai! Aipom!” Ridley replied.
“Good luck you guys!” Oliver cheered on the sidelines as he didn’t have a Pokémon himself.
The three Pokemon turned to their friend and replied before they prepared for their battle as their trainers stood behind them. “You ready darlings?” Lewis asked. The three Pokemon nodded ready to practice training with Ridley.
Ridley moved his paw, signaling them to “bring it on,” as Oddity and his friends smirked, ready to battle their friend.
“Ridley, let's use Swift!” Carly commanded.
Ridley jumped and launched stars from his tail as the three opposing Pokemon dodged the attack. “Sprigatito, use Leafage!” Lewis commanded.
Sprigatito’s neck glowed as she launched leaves over at Ridley. Who missed the attack, but Oddity was behind him ready to attack.
“Oddity, use Quick Attack!” Wiatt commanded.
Oddity quickly dashed towards Ridley, tackling him. The Long Tail Pokemon used his tail to skid the ground. Ridley chuckled, as Oddity growled.
“Skiddo, use Razor Leaf!” Sara commanded.
Skiddo then launched Razor Leaf at Ridley.
“Dodge it with Double Team!” Carly commanded.
Ridley made copies of himself missing Razor Leaf as they surrounded Skiddo.
“Sprigatito, use Scratch to remove the copies!” Lewis commanded.
“Oddity, do the same but with Buzzy Buzz!” Wiatt added.
Sprigatito’s paw glowed white as she jumped to scratch one of Ridley’s doubles, which disappeared upon touching him. Sprigatito was confused till another Ridley appeared behind her, scaring her. She let out a meow as she hissed at the copy.
Oddity used his electric type move to zap as many of the Ridley copies as he could only for Ridley to appear as each duplicate appears. The three Pokemon were cornered as no matter how much they attack, there will be more and more copies.
“Let’s attack together,” Wiatt said.
“Got it.” Lewis and Sara replied at the same time.
“Skiddo, use Vine Whip!” Sara commanded.
“Sprigatito, use Leafage!” Lewis commanded.
“Oddity, use Buzzy Buzz!” Wiatt commanded.
The three Pokemon used their attacks together to take down Ridley’s copies, but each time one was taken down another appeared. As the Pokemon were attacking, the real Ridley appeared behind Oddity, which made the later gasp in surprise.
Carly smirked, “Ridley, use Focus Punch!” She commanded.
Ridley’s tail glowed blue and punched Oddity, knocking him to the ground.
“Oddity! Are you okay?” Wiatt asked, worried for his partner.
“Vee!” Oddity got up, not phased from being hit by a super effective move.
Wiatt chuckled, glad to see his buddy okay.
“I’m surprised to see Oddity was able to withstand Focus Punch,” Carly said, surprised.
“What can I say, my buddy is full of surprises!” Wiatt replied.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Carly smirked, “well, I’m guessing this practice lesson is just getting started!”
“Indeed it is darling!” Lewis added.
“Well then, Ridley, use Swift!” Carly commanded.
Ridley then launched stars from his tail at Oddity.
“Oddity dodge it, and use Copycat on Swift!” Wiatt exclaimed.
Oddity jumped and started to glow as he released stars from his tail as well. The two attacks collided with each other before exploding. The two Pokémon held their ground as the explosion pushed them back.
“Oddity, use Buzzy Buzz!” Wiatt commanded.
Oddity then launched his electric type move at Ridley.
“Dodge it!” Carly yelled.
Ridley jumped to dodge the attack, but Eric was coming by, which shocked Carly and Wiatt. The two panicked, warning Eric of the oncoming electric attack. “W-Wait Wait! Stop!” They shouted.
“Guys! I got some news for you all-ahhh!” Eric was cut off as Buzzy Buzz hit him, he was paralyzed, his hair was all over the place and a bit charred.
“D-Dad!” Carly yelled as she ran to him.
“Aipom!” Ridley yelled following Carly behind. The two went over and helped the man up.
“Are you okay?” Carly asked.
“I-I’m fine,” Eric replied, dizzy from the attack. “Wiatt, your Eevee’s attack is…shocking.” He let out a cough, causing Wiatt and Oddity to look at each other and chuckled nervously. The group decided now was a good time to end training.
The four headed back inside as Eric brushed himself off, and explained the four of their task. “So it’s been a while since you got your frist mission from me, and I figured it’s time for you to get another one.” Eric started.
Wiatt smiled excited what the mission was, before Eric responded.
“No, nothing on Mew yet Wiatt,” Eric added.
“Aww.” Wiatt sighed.
Sara chuckled, which made Wiatt glare at his friend. However, she quickly acted all innocent like she wasn’t poking fun at her friend’s dream.
“Actually, its an old student of mine,” Eric answered. “Lewis, do you remember Alyssa?”
Lewis’s eyes widened and nodded, “I do.” He replied.
“Well she’s inviting you four to Sinnoh to check out something she’s been researching,” Eric explained.
“Splendid!” Lewis beamed. “When does she want to see us?”
Eric chuckled, “today, your ferry ride to Sinnoh is in one hour.” He told them.
The Dream Quartet looked at the professor in shock before turning to the clock and see it’s already 10:30 am.
“Make that, half an hour,” Carly added.
The Dream Quartet quickly left the facility and ran off outside to catch the fairy boat to the Sinnoh region.
“Hurry! We’re gonna be late!” Oliver yelled.
“We’re coming!” Wiatt yelled.
Eric, Carly and Ridley watched as the four quickly dashed off, which made Carly speak up, “there they go.” She said.
In Jubilife City, located in Sinnoh, Alyssa waited at the port as the ship started to dock. There she saw people exiting off the boat, and waited for Lewis and his friends to board off the ship. It wasn’t long and soon Lewis and the others came off waving to Alyssa.
“Lewis! Oliver! Sara!” Alyssa beamed.
“Alyssa!” Lewis and his two friends beamed. The group ran to their friend, with Wiatt following behind. “How are you darling?”
“Doing great!” She replied. Alyssa turned to Lewis’s other two friends, “how have you guys been?”
“Great!” Oliver replied.
Alyssa smiled before turning to Wiatt, “you must be Wiatt and this must be your Eevee, Oddity?” She asked.
Wiatt nodded. “It’s nice to meet you Alyssa.” He said.
“Eevee!” Oddity replied. His eyes widened as Alyssa petted the Evolution Pokemon, which he enjoyed.
“Meow!”
Alyssa stopped petting Oddity and looked down to see Lewis’s Sprigatito, wanting to be petted too. The girl’s eyes widened as she saw the Grass Cat Pokemon. “Aww is this your Sprigatito, Lewis?” She asked, as she kneeled down to the grass-type Pokemon.
“Yep, she’s my little star,” Lewis replied.
Sprigatito blushed hearing her trainer’s nice words about her. Alyssa gave a soft chuckle as she pet the Grass Cat Pokemon causing her to purr.
“Pop?” A Poppio asked, as she pops up behind Alyssa. Sprigatito jumped in surprise seeing the other Pokemon.
Lewis and his friends gasped, “Alyssa is that your Popplio?” Sara asked.
Alyssa nodded, “this is Glory, she’s a sweetheart.”
Glory gives a proud smile as she put her fins to her hips.
“She’s so cute!” Sara beamed as she took her Rotom phone and scanned Popplio in her Pokedex.
Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokemon. A Water-Type.
Popplio can blow balloons from its nose. These balloons can grow as large as Popplio can make them with enough practice.
“Pop. Pop!” Glory replied, agreeing with what the Pokedex explained about her species. She decided to show off making one of her balloons, which quickly popped causing the group to chuckle.
“So,” Alyssa spoke up, calming down. “Ready to show you guys what I’ve been researching?” The group nodded in reply. “Great follow me to my car.” The girl lead the four to her car, a red Hummer, and once everyone was in, the young girl started driving.
While driving, Wiatt had some questions for the other researcher, “so Alyssa, what do you research?” He asked.
“I normally research water-type and ice-type Pokemon. I go into the oceans to explore and learn things about the Pokemon that live there such as migration patterns and habitats.” Alyssa answered.
“That’s amazing!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Eevee!” Oddity added.
Alyssa smiled, and suddenly she got an idea. “Hey want me to go faster?” She asked.
“Huh?” Everyone asked in reply.
“How fast are you talking about?” Oliver asked.
“I’ll show you,” Alyssa replied. She pressed her foot on the gas gently, and drove fast. Not insanely fast, but fast enough to get to their destination quicker.
High above the sky, Team Rocket was following Wiatt and his friends in their Meowth balloon and using a pair of binoculars to get a close up of what the twerps were doing.
“So, where are the twerps going this time?” Jessie asked.
James looked up ahead and saw the beach, “seems like they're going to the beach.” He answered.
Meowth sighed as he put down his binoculars, “ah the beach sounds fun!” He beamed. “A day to relax and catch some sunlight.” Meowth then fantasized him at the beach lying down on a chair wearing a hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, sunhat, and drinking coconut milk.
However, Meowth’s fantasy was interrupted when Wobuffett and Jessie smacked him on the head. “This isn’t a vacation, Meowth!” Jessie growled.
“Yeah!” Jame spoke up, turning towards his partner, “We’re here to follow the twerps and see what twerpy adventures they have planned!”
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet beamed.
“Cramo.”
Team Rocket’s eyes widened wondering who said that. They looked around, until they turned to see a Cramorant sitting on the edge of their balloon, blinking in surprise.
“Cramorant.” Cramorant said.
“Now what’s a Cramorant doing relaxing with us?” Meowth asked.
“Don’t know?” James replied.
Jessie growled and tried to shoo away the Gulp Pokemon, who missed every hit the female Team Rocket member try to throw at it, “h-hey move it you dumb bird!” She yelled.
Cramorant ended up flying away, but got its beak stuck on the Meowth balloon.
“Hey! Get off my face!” Meowth yelled.
Cramorant did just that, however that ended up being a mistake in Meowth’s part, and it left a giant hole on the Meowth balloon. “Big mistake!” Team Rocket yelled as their balloon blasted away, leaving a twinkle in the sky.
The Gulp Pokemon tilted its head in confusion before flying off.
Alyssa and the Dream Quartet finally made it to the beach. She parked her car to the side as the group got out and started walking.
“So what did you want to show us?” Wiatt asked.
Alyssa giggled, “you’ll see.”
The group turned a corner, and their eyes widened at what they saw. There a pack of Piplup was swimming and having fun on the beach. There were also nest with eggs as well.
“Are those Piplup?” Oliver asked.
Alyssa nodded, “I’ve been watching these Piplup for a month now, and figured you guys should check them out too.” She explained.
Wiatt pulled out his Rotom phone and scan Piplup into his Pokedex.
Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon. A water-type.
Piplup are known to be very proud. They are poor walkers, but excellent swimmers as they can dive for 10 minutes to hunt.
“So what are the Piplup doing here?” Lewis asked.
“These Piplup come from the coldest part of Sinnoh, once a year they come to this beach to raise their eggs and once they fully hatched,” Alyssa explained.
Soon, the group saw two of the Piplup eggs glowing, ready to hatch.
“And we just made it in time,” Alyssa said.
The egg glowed for a bit before hatching into baby Piplup. “Pip!” One baby Piplup said.
“Lup!” The other baby Piplup said.
“Awww.” Everyone said seeing the babies.
“I have got to show this to Celio!” Sara exclaimed as she quickly got her Rotom phone, wanting to get a photo of the cute water-type Pokemon. She got a little closer, ignoring the warnings from her friends.
“S-Sara we should stay here,” Wiatt warned.
Sara ignored Wiatt’s warnings, but at that point a bigger Piplup appeared glaring at Sara. The later stopped, and soon Piplup used Bubble Beam on Sara getting her wet.
“I warned her,” Wiatt said.
“Piplup! Pip!” The Piplup yelled, telling Sara to get off their land.
“S-Sorry.” Sara apologized. “I just wanted to take a photo.”
Piplup glared and was ready to launch Bubble Beam again before Lewis stepped in and dragged his friend back to where everyone was standing. However, Piplup still launched the attack getting everyone wet.
“Smart move Sara,” Wiatt said sarcastically.
“Vee Eevee!” Oddity yelled.
“Meow! Meow!” Sprigatito hissed, hating getting wet.
“Sorry.” Sara apologized. She then turned to Piplup who glared ready to launch Bubble Beam again. “Wait,” Piplup stopped as Sara spoke up, “I’m sorry again Piplup. We’re not trying to hurt the babies I promise.”
Piplup loosened up, “Pip?” He asked.
“I just wanted to take a photo of them, but I didn’t realize we were in your territory,” Sara said.
“It’s true,” Alyssa spoke up, causing Piplup to turn to the water-type researcher. “I do know your protective of your friends, but we’re not here to hurt any of them I promise.” Sara turned towards the girl surprised she knew this Piplup.
Piplup’s eyes widen, “Piplup.” He said. Piplup thought for a bit and sighed and loosened up giving Alyssa and her friends to get close to his friends.
“Thank you Piplup!” Sara beamed.
A star twinkled in the sky, which caused everyone to look up to see Team Rocket and their balloon crashing down into the ocean. Team Rocket groaned as it was a rough landing.
“Team Rocket!” Wiatt growled.
“What brings you three down here!” Lewis yelled.
Jessie groaned, “blame the oversized Pidgey.”
“Cramorant.” Meowth corrected her.
Jessie growled and hit Meowth over the head, “what Meowth said…for popping our balloon.”
The Dream Quartet glared at the villainous trio, but Alyssa and Glory were confused over who the trio were. “Who are those three?” Alyssa asked.
“Team Rocket,” Oliver answered.
“These three love to cause trouble,” Sara added.
Skiddo, Sprigatito and Oddity growled seeing their enemies.
Even though they were villains, Glory looked up, “Pop! Pop? Pop!” She exclaimed getting her trainer’s attention as she pointed out that Team Rocket’s balloon was ready to sink.
“Uh…do you three need help!” Alyssa exclaimed. Team Rocket looked up at the girl, “your balloon is ready to sink.”
The Dream Quartet looked shocked as their new friend mentioned she wanted to help Team Rocket. The latter glared hearing the new twerp wanted to help them. “No thank you!” James yelled.
“We don’t need help from twerps!” Meowth added.
“Yeah! We’ll be fine on our-” Jessie was cut off as the balloon started to fill with water and was now pulling Team Rocket deeper into the ocean.
“Somebody help us!” Team Rocket screamed.
“Oh brother…” The Dream Quartet sighed.
Later, the Dream Quartet pulled Team Rocket out of the ocean with help from Piplup and Skiddo. They sighed in relief seeing they were on land and not at the bottom of the ocean. “Thank you.” Team Rocket said at the same time.
“No…problem…” Wiatt replied, not impressed seeing he and his friends had to help Team Rocket.
Team Rocket got up and looked around see the twerps and the pack of Piplup. “Hey look at all the Piplup here!” Meowth exclaimed.
“Now what would a group of Piplup be doing here?” Jessie asked.
“They’re raising their eggs here. Once the Piplup eggs hatch they’ll go back to their home up in the northern part of Sinnoh.” Alyssa explained. Suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to Wiatt.
“You sure you want to be telling them everything?” Wiatt whispered.
“Yeah those three are criminals and they steal Pokemon,” Oliver added, whispering as well.
“Yeah, but we just saved them,” Alyssa replied. “I doubt they would steal them after all we did.”
Wiatt, Oddity and Oliver sighed knowing this was going to be a bad idea.
“Wow! So this is the answer why Piplup swim south for the summer!” Meowth exclaimed. He then got pulled into a huddle by Jessie and James.
“This isn’t the time for jokes, Meowth,” James whispered.
“Yeah, were surrounded with a bunch of Piplup,” Jessie whispered. “Once the time is right we capture them and bring them to the boss.”
Meowth snickered, “the boss would reward us with being millionaires.” He said.
“Piplup?”
Team Rocket’s eyes widened to see the bigger Piplup coming into their conversation. They jumped in fear before glaring at the penguin Pokemon.
“Don’t scare us like that!” James yelled.
“Yeah!” Meowth added. “Weren’t you taught any better?!”
Piplup glared and was ready to hit Team Rocket with a Bubble Beam before he stopped and looked up at the sky. Everyone else looked up and saw dark clouds covering the sky as thunder rumbled and raindrops started to fall.
“Aww great! It’s raining!” Wiatt yelled.
However, it wasn’t just rain, but also a long gust of wind causing everyone to scream.
“Quick!” Alyssa yelled. “Follow me, my villa isn’t far from here!”
Before anyone could take a step, Team Rocket dashed passed Wiatt and his friends causing them to get dizzy. “You don’t have to tell us twice!” Team Rocket yelled at the same time.
The Dream Quartet shook it off and followed Team Rocket into Alyssa’s villa. A few of the Piplup followed the group behind the group except the bigger Piplup who stayed behind to watch the unhatched eggs.
Skiddo turned around and bleated, calling for Piplup to follow them.
Sara turned around to see Piplup staying behind, “Piplup!” She called out. Piplup turned to the young girl. “Come on, we gotta get inside!” She yelled.
Piplup shook his head and decided to stay behind to take care of the eggs.
“Piplup…” Sara said.
“Darling!” Lewis yelled. He grabbed Sara’s hand and took her inside as the storm got worse. “Come on, let's get inside!”
Sara didn’t struggle as her best friend took her inside to stay safe.
Once inside, Team Rocket sat in front of the fire and sighed with the warmth of the flames.
The Dream Quartet sat on the couch as two of the baby Piplup snuggled with Sara. She put a blanket over them to keep them safe and warm. “There, you're safe now.” She said.
“Piplup.” The baby Piplup said, thanking the girl.
Sara smiled and looked over at Skiddo who was also caring for some of the baby Piplup. “How are you doing, Skiddo?”
Skiddo bleated in reply knowing she’s fine taking care of the babies. She then saw Oddity and Sprigatito playing with one of the baby Piplup, who loved chasing Oddity’s tail.
Sara smiled till she saw Wiatt put a cup of hot chocolate in front of her. She looked up at her friend who sat down next to her along with Oddity. “Alyssa and Lewis made hot chocolate for us.”
Mewoth’s ears twitched as he heard hot chocolate, “ooh! Is there some for us?” He asked.
Wiatt glared, “no.” He replied.
“Yes,” Alyssa replied, handing the three villains their hot chocolate.
Their eyes widened as they took the cups and took a sip. “Ah…This is life.” They said with a sigh.
Alyssa gave a soft chuckle. “Glad you like it.”
Lewis and Oliver got their hot chocolate as well and sat down with their friends. As the four drank their hot chocolate, Sara couldn’t help but keep glancing at Piplup who was watching the storm as he guarded the eggs.
“Alyssa,” Sara spoke up. Alyssa looked up at her friend the second she sat down. “You mentioned you knew about this specific Piplup.”
Alyssa nodded. “Since I started being a researcher and watching the Piplup migration, I’ve seen this specific Piplup being a bit different then the others.” She explained.
“Different?” Oliver asked.
“How so darling?” Lewis asked.
“Well, for starters it’s a bit bigger than the Piplup I’ve been watching. However, I don’t know if a trainer left this Piplup behind to take care of the younger Piplup or if this specific Piplup is the oldest out of all of them.” Alyssa explained.
As the researcher explained, Sara glanced at the window to see Piplup guarding the eggs while the rain poured down on him. “He’s so determined to protect the eggs,” Sara whispered.
“He sure is,” Alyssa replied. “He’s…ambitious in a way.”
Sara smiled as she can relate to being ambitious. She then looked at the baby Piplup that snuggled with the blanket she gave them. “You know the reason why I understand him is because I cared for Pokemon eggs before.”
“Really?” Wiatt asked.
Sara nodded in reply.
“Oh yeah, doesn’t your caretaker take care of baby Pokemon?” Oliver asked.
“Correct,” Sara replied. “Celio and I took care of so many baby Pokemon, they taught me everything I needed to know.” She remembered when her and Celio would feed baby Pokemon their food and keep an eye on the eggs to make sure they hatched healthy and safely.
The sound of the thunder and flash of lightning illuminated the room, causing everyone to cover their eyes from the flash. Some of the baby Piplup cried as Skiddo and Oddity comforted the little ones that it was just thunder and nothing else.
“Man this storm is getting bad,” Wiatt commented.
Sara saw the storm getting worse before turning to where Piplup was and saw he was struggling trying to protect the eggs. “Piplup is doing this all on his own.” She thought to herself. “However, if he’s not careful him and the eggs…” Sara’s eyes widened as she quickly got up. “Skiddo let’s go!”
Skiddo looked up at her trainer, and nodded.
“Darling, where are you going?” Lewis asked.
“I’m going to help Piplup!” Sara answered as she pulled a pink rain coat from her backpack as well as an orange one for Skiddo and put it on.
The group looked at their friend like she was crazy. “You're not serious!” Wiatt yelled.
“In this weather?” Oliver asked. “That’s dangerous.”
“Piplup needs help, and I’m worried for him and the eggs,” Sara said. She opened the door, which swung open as the wind came through. Sara and Skiddo braced themselves as they stepped outside and into the storm.
Everyone stared in shock, even Team Rocket was speechless over Sara’s actions. “That twerpette is crazy!” Meowth exclaimed.
“She sure is,” Wiatt said.
Outside, Piplup was trying to make the nest more sturdy as well as building a wall using the sand to prevent the eggs from being washed to sea.
“Piplup!” Sara called out.
Piplup looked up and saw Sara and Skiddo coming towards him before glaring at the two. He walked by to protect the eggs and prevent Sara and Skiddo from taking another step.
“Pip Piplup!” Piplup yelled.
“Piplup please let us help you!” Sara yelled.
Skiddo bleated begging Piplup for their help.
“Piplup! Piplup! Pip!”
Soon the waves from the ocean came closer to the eggs causing Piplup to look behind and quickly ran to the eggs to shield them from the oncoming waves. While the waves didn’t harm the eggs, it did drag Piplup into the ocean.
“Oh no! Piplup!” Sara yelled.
Piplup tried to swim back, but due to how strong the waves were, he couldn’t swim back to shore.
“Hang on! Skiddo, use Vine Whip!”
Skiddo then used her Vine Whip and grabbed Piplup around his waist. He was confused, but accepted the help. Skiddo pulled the Penguin Pokemon out of the water and put him back on land.
“Are you okay?” Sara asked.
Piplup blinked and nodded. “Lup.” He replied.
Sara sighed in relief, “that’s good.” She then looked at the eggs as she and Skiddo looked around to find something to keep the eggs safe. Not far behind there were some sticks and leaves that could be used for a shield. “There!”
Sara and Skiddo ran and gathered as much sticks and leaves they can. Once they gathered enough, they went to the nests and used the leaves and sticks as a barricade to keep the eggs safe. Piplup helped using the sand to keep the barricade steady. Skiddo used her vines to tighten the barricade well.
“There, that should keep it safe,” Sara said. Skiddo bleated in reply, the two looked at the other nest and decided to do the same thing. The three gathered as much as they could and started to build barricades to protect the nests.
Wiatt and the gang watched from the window seeing their friend do everything she can to protect the eggs. “She’s so determined to protect the eggs.” He whispered.
“Vee.” Oddity agreed.
Sara and Skiddo were finishing up one of the barricades for the eggs, and sighed seeing there’s only one nest to go. “Almost done,” Sara said.
Soon the winds picked up as the waves rolled in wildly. Sara and Skiddo braced themselves from the wind not knowing a giant wave was on top of them ready to fall. Hearing it the two turned and their eyes widened in horror seeing the monstrous wave on top of them. The two braced themselves, but before the wave landed on them, Piplup stood in front.
“Pip…LUP!” Piplup yelled as he launched a light blue beam on the wave causing it to freeze.
Sara opened her eyes and saw Piplup using Ice Beam to freeze the wave. “Piplup…you saved us.” She whispered.
Piplup turned to the girl with a smile, “Pip. Piplup.” He replied.
Sara’s eyes widened as she smiled. The frozen wave cracked causing one half of the wave to go back into the ocean while the other half broke into shards. “Come on, we got one more nest to save!”
Piplup nodded and he and Skiddo followed the girl to gather the remaining leaves and sticks for the barricade.
Inside the villa, Wiatt smiled seeing Sara was alright.
As Sara, Skiddo and Piplup get the last barricade up the storm starts to die down. The wind slowly calmed down, the rain stopped, the waves rolled in smoothly, and finally the clouds started to blow away as the sunlight started to peek through them.
Sara sighed and lay down on the sand alongside Piplup. The trio took heavy breaths before Sara turned to the Penguin Pokemon. “We did it.”
“Lup,” Piplup answered.
The two turned to face each other before giving a small smile. “You're pretty confident for a Piplup,” Sara said.
Piplup blinked in surprise before smiling. “Pip. Piplup.” He replied.
Sara gave a light chuckle as she slowly sat up and removed her raincoat. She then helped Skiddo with removing her raincoat, but as they were doing so they saw something glowing where the Piplup eggs rested. Sara, Skiddo and Piplup got a closer look and saw each and every egg started to glow. One by one, the eggs hatched into baby Piplup.
Sara and Piplup’s eyes widened, smiling with joy, as they removed the barriers so the babies could be free. Piplup looked over at Sara and tapped her arm, “Piplup. Piplup.” He said, translating to thank you for helping him.
“You’re welcome,” Sara replied.
“Sara!”
Sara and Piplup turned to see Wiatt and the others coming by and checked on the trio. “Wiatt!” Sara yelled.
Once the group caught up, Wiatt gave a small glare, “what you did was stupid.” He said.
“I know,” Sara replied.
“But, we are glad you're okay darling,” Lewis added.
Sara gave a smile, “thanks. Besides, I couldn't leave those eggs alone.”
The Piplups who were inside the villa came and met the newborn Piplup and started to play with them. The group chuckled seeing everyone reuniting and getting along.
However, Alyssa stopped chuckling realizing something. “Hey, where were the other three that were with us?” She asked.
“Team Rocket?” Oliver answered.
“Now that you mention it, the second the storm cleared up they ran off,” Lewis answered.
“Guess the storm scared them off,” Wiatt replied, crossing his arms.
Soon something came out of the water causing everyone to turn in shock. It was a blue and red robot, and on it’s forehead was a red R on it.
“Now what?!” Sara yelled.
From the mecha, laughter was heard, “No storm scares us!” Jessie exclaimed.
“And now that we got warm from hot chocolate and the storm has gone away another day, we can finally start what we were here for!” James exclaimed.
“Catching the Piplup for the boss using our new mecha!” Meowth exclaimed, as he clicked the button. Once he did, tentacles came out of the robot and started to grab the Piplup and throw them inside the chest, trapping them.
“Oh no the Piplup!” Alyssa yelled.
“Stop it Team Rocket!” Wiatt growled.
Team Rocket laughed and continued to grab as many Piplups as they could.
Alyssa frowned feeling betrayed by Team Rocket, “I-I can’t believe I was nice to them.”
“We did warn you darling,” Lewis replied.
Piplup glared and was ready to fight the bad guys from taking his friends. “Wait, Piplup,” Sara said, stopping the water-type. “I know Team Rocket is stealing your friends, but you can’t battle them alone. Let us help you.”
Piplup shook his head and was ready to fight Team Rocket on his own.
“If you let me help you before, why not now?” Sara asked.
Piplup paused and turned to not only see Sara, but Lewis and Wiatt and their Pokemon ready to help him too.
“In our group, we're a team,” Lewis said.
“And if anything we wanna get a chance to fight Team Rocket too,” Wiatt added.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
“Meow!” Sprgiatito added.
Skiddo bleated in response.
Piplup’s eyes widened, he turned to the mecha before turning back to the group and nodded, accepting the help.
“Alright!” Sara beamed. She then looked at the mecha as its tentacles cornered the last remaining Piplup. “Okay, we need to practice like we did earlier back at the facility.”
Lewis, Wiatt, Piplup, and their Pokemon nodded in agreement.
“Ready?”
“Ready!” Wiatt and Lewis exclaimed.
“Skiddo, use Vine Whip to stop Team Rocket!” Sara commanded.
Skiddo quickly used her vines to slap away the tentacles from stealing the other Piplup.
“Hey, watch it!” Jessie exclaimed. “Meowth handle that little brat!”
“Roger that!” Meowth exclaimed as he pressed another button causing the vines to head towards Skiddo.
“Alright Piplup it’s your turn! Use Ice Beam!” Sara commanded.
“Piplup. Pip…LUP!” Pipulp yelled, launching a light blue beam from his mouth freezing the robot’s tentacles.
Team Rocket struggled to get the tentacles out, but they were frozen.
“Sprigatito, use Leafage!” Lewis commanded.
“Oddity, use Copycat on Leafage!” Wiatt added.
Sprigatito launched the leaves from her neck, while Oddity glowed green and launched leaves from the tuft on his neck hitting the frozen tentacles and breaking them.
Team Rocket yelled in surprise seeing the tentacles were destroyed.
“Great work you guys!” Sara exclaimed. The two Pokemon turned towards the young girl and replied back to her. She turned to Piplup, “Now let’s rescue the babies!”
“Piplup!” Piplup exclaimed.
“Skiddo, use Take Down!” Sara commanded.
“Oddity, use Quick Attack!” Wiatt commanded.
The two Pokemon started to charge at the robot and soon Piplup was right next to them as his beak glowed white, issuing a Peck attack. The three charged at the mecha, causing it to lose its balance.
“Woah! Woah!” Team Rocket yelled as the mecha lost balance and they fell. The door that that held the Piplup cracked open before breaking and all the baby Piplups escaped from Team Rocket.
“Oh no!” Meowth yelled.
“Alright!” Wiatt beamed. He then looked at his two friends, “ready to finish this?” Lewis and Sara nodded. “Oddity, use Buzzy Buzz!”
“Sprigatito, use Leafage!” Lewis commanded.
“Skiddo, use Razor Leaf!” Sara commanded.
The three Pokemon went to use their signature moves, with Piplup using Bubble Beam to make the attack even stronger. The attacks combined together and hit the machine. Oddity’s electric attack shocked Team Rocket before the rest of the attacks came by and destroyed the mecha.
“You know if we weren’t too relaxed from the hot cocoa, this would’ve been an easy capture,” James said.
“Well, it was good hot chocolate, but you're right,” Jessie added.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet shouted coming out of no where.
Meowth shrugged, “oh well today was a win loose situation.”
“Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!” Team Rocket screamed at the same time.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet added.
Soon a star twinkled in the sky showing Team Rocket has blasted off far away.
Everyone cheered over Team Rocket’s defeat, glad they stopped them from taking anymore Piplup.
“You guys were amazing!” Sara beamed.
Skiddo belated and gave a smile, while Piplup chirped in reply.
“Especially you Piplup. You were awesome!” Sara exclaimed.
Piplup blinked in surprise. “Piplup?” He asked. “Piplup!”
Later, the sun started to set and the Piplup were all in the water ready to leave. “You guys get up north safe and sound, okay?” Alyssa reminded them.
“Piplup.” The Piplup pack replied.
Piplup saw his friends in the ocean, and was ready to step in and swim. Before he did he looked back at Sara. “Piplup. Pip.” He said.
“I’m gonna miss you too,” Sara said. Skiddo belatedly replied to what he just said.
“Piplup.”
Sara petted his head, “hey you and I will see each other again one day.” She said, The girl looked back at the pack of Piplup before looking back at her friend. “They’re waiting on you.”
Piplup nodded and got in the water and started to swim to his friends. “Piplup Pip?” Piplup asked if everyone was ready to go.
“Piplup!” The Piplup pack beamed.
“Piplup! Pip!” Piplup yelled as he and the group started their travels back home. As Piplup swam away with its pack, he constantly turned around to see Sara and his friends. The further away he was he felt sad separating from his new friends.
“Lup?” A younger Piplup asked.
Piplup looked up at the pack, who were concerned for him. “Piplup pip?” The younger Piplup asked.
Piplup sighed, he couldn’t lie to his pack, “Lup. Pip Piplup.” Piplup replied.
The Piplup looked at one another and smiled before turning to the oldest Piplup. “Piplup Pip!” They all exclaimed.
Piplup looked up to see all his friends cheering him on to go on his new journey. Tears were in his eyes as he smiled and nodded, he turned around and swam away before waving to his friends.
“Piplup! Pip!” Piplup exclaimed.
“Piplup!” The Piplup pack exclaimed back.
Alyssa and the Dream Quartet were about to head inside the villa till they heard Piplup calling out to them. They turned to see Piplup swimming back to shore.
“Piplup!” Sara exclaimed as she and Skiddo ran back to their friend.
Once Piplup was close to shore, he jumped out of the water and into Sara’s arms, who caught him and held him close. “Piplup, are you just here to say goodbye?” She asked.
Piplup shook his head, and nuzzled close to his trainer, causing the girl’s eyes to widen.
“I get it.” Alyssa spoke up, “Piplup wants to join you guys.”
Wiatt and the others gasped in shock before turning to Sara. The latter’s eyes widened as she looked down on the Penguin Pokemon, who looked back up at her. “Piplup.” He said.
“Piplup, you want to join us?” Sara asked.
“Piplup!” Piplup replied.
“Pip! Piplup!”
Sara looked up to see some of Piplup’s friends giving the two approval to be friends and go off on their journey together. The young girl smiled and nodded as she put Piplup down and took out a Pokeball, “Piplup, you and I are going on so many adventures together.” Sara explained.
“Lup!” Piplup beamed.
Sara tapped the Pokeball on Piplup’s head, which opened as a light came out and sent Piplup inside the Pokeball. Once the ball closed, it wiggled three times before a chime was heard showing that Piplup was caught. She let out a chuckle as she got a new partner.
“That’s awesome darling.” Lewis beamed as he, Wiatt and Oliver walked over to her.
“You got yourself a new friend,” Oliver added.
Skiddo bleated happy her trainer caught a new Pokemon. Sara let out a chuckle and looked back at Piplup’s friends. “I promise, I’ll take good care of him.”
“Piplup!” The Piplup pack beamed.
“Piplup! Come on out!” Sara shouted as she threw the Pokeball up in the air and out came Piplup.
“Piplup!” Piplup beamed. Once landing he turned to his friends and waved them goodbye once more. “Pip Piplup!”
“Piplup!” The Piplup pack waved back before swimming off and catching up with the rest of the group.
Piplup smiled glad to see his pack would be fine on their own, he sighed and watched his friends leave. Sara and Skiddo smiled and went to sit down next to her new friend as they saw the Piplup leave towards the sunset.

Everything inside of her being felt off in a way that she couldn’t exactly pinpoint, her head pounding in that same rhythmic motion as she blinked her heavy eyelids open. It was as if she’d stepped out of her body and hadn’t managed to fit all the way back in, leaving the entirety of her being to stand at an angle. Her memories were there, but the world they'd all happened in... wasn't. Something else had clearly taken its place, so where was she? When was she?

Magia Chap. 8- I'm Done With You
T/W Blood WARNING!!! Not a lot, but still...
Next chapter is here! I cried writing this chapter, and you'll see why!
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
In the early morning hours, before the founders came in and continued building the place, Winnie was walking towards what would be the arcade section of the facility.
Once he entered, Litho was waiting for him. “So, what have you found out?” He asked.
“A lot.” Winnie answered.
Litho turned glaring at the pegasus animatronic with his many eyes. “Explain?”
Winnie smirked, “Well let’s start with your lovely partner Sara. I’m sure telling you her powers won’t be a waste of time.” He explained.
Litho growled, “I don’t have time for your jokes, Carlos!” He spat.
“Oh I’m not joking.” Winnie chuckled. “Our little Sara’s powers are time-related.”
Litho’s eyes widened, “how do you know that’s her powers?”
“Well, after you told me to go after Eric, Sara followed him to Lewis’s house which I burnt.” Winnie started. “I had a choice to leave Sara to die because her actions were a betrayal, but suddenly the whole house was frozen in this pink aura, and Sara and Eric came out alive.”
While explaining, Litho glared, growling as he remembered someone from his past. In his memories, he remembered a young girl wielding a pink gemstone and was able to use the time powers from it to protect herself from him.
“I should’ve known it was her,” Litho growled.
Winnie blinked, “O-Oh you knew?” He asked.
“In a way, yes,” Litho replied. “Sara reminded me of an…old adversary in the past. I just thought it was a coincidence, but you know the saying "An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” He snickered, running his claws on the wall, almost scratching it. “Maybe I’ll pay our little “friend” a visit when she arrives with her little termites.”
A bit later, Sara and her friends came by and decided they would go back to where they started before she made her deal with Litho and Winnie. This time Wiatt offered to help out, when it was usually Eric.
“Eric’s not coming today?” Sara asked.
Lewis shook his head, “he’s still shocked he was able to heal so quickly. To make sure, he and Carly will be staying home.” He explained.
Sara sighed, “That’s good.” She looked at her best friend, and wanted to bring up last night.
After telling Lewis what she saw, the founder couldn’t explain why she saw two different people, one who looked like him. The only theory that came to his mind was maybe Sara could unlock secrets of the gems and jewelry box from time to time.
Though Lewis wished his best friend’s powers would’ve shown her what powers he had. So far his powers haven’t activated yet, which disappointed him.
Sara sensed her friend was still disappointed his powers hadn’t come through yet. “Your powers haven't been activated yet?” She asked.
Lewis shook his hand, “I’m more concerned if my powers would be helpful like yours or if it would harm others like Oliver’s.” He explained.
Sara warped her arm around her best friend, “Hey, don’t worry darling.” She joked. “Your powers will activate somehow.”
“Hey.” Lewis groaned, seeing his best friend use his phrase on him. He removed himself from Sara’s hold and gave her a light push, which made her laugh. “I’m surprised you're taking this rather well, yesterday you complained about all this magical power nonsense.”
“Well,” Sara sighed, “my power is why Eric’s alive in the first place.”
Lewis smiled, happy to see his best friend back to her old self.
Oliver came in with Wiatt, who was now wearing one of the many uniforms for Dreamworld. This was his mechanic uniform, a blue and yellow vest themed after the Starlight animatronic over a white shirt, he also wore a pair of dark blue pants as well as a blue hat with an orange bill on top of his head.
“Well, what do you two think?” Wiatt asked.
“I-I figured, Wiatt would make a great mechanic for Dreamworld. We need the extra hands.” Oliver explained.
“Plus, I’ve helped my dad fix arcade cabinets, so I have the skills needed,” Wiatt added.
Lewis smiled and hugged his boyfriend tight. “Your uniform looks amazing on you darling.” He commented, blushing.
Wiatt blushed, giving a nervous chuckle, “Thanks.” He replied. “Although do you need a different uniform for every attraction at Dreamworld? It seems a bit much.”
“Don’t ask me!” Lewis exclaimed. “Sara thought it was a good idea, and we stuck with it.”
“I should add it was my-“ Sara was about to say a bright idea, but Lewis glared at her knowing what she was about to say. “G-Greatest idea ever.” She corrected herself giving a sheepish smile.
Lewis smiled seeing she avoided making the pun.
“Still, I could see just one uniform and maybe a button or pin that would show where people work,” Wiatt commented.
As Wiatt explained, Sara spotted Winnie spying on her and her friends in the distance before leaving. She glared and decided to ignore the Pegasus animatronic for now.
“Uh, Sara?” Oliver spoke up. Sara turned to her friends, who looked nervous seeing her glare.
“Oh sorry.” She apologized.
“Is everything alright?” Oliver asked.
Sara nodded, “Yeah. Just getting used to ignoring him.”
Lewis put his hand on her shoulder and gave a comforting no smile. “It’s going to be a long process, darling.” He started. “But we’re willing to help you along the way.”
“Thanks,” Sara replied, smiling.
~~~~~~~
Lewis decided it would be best to continue Wiatt’s tour around Dreamworld since it was interrupted due to the whole incident.
In her office, Sara decided to research Wiatt's jewelry box. Sadly her research led to nothing except photos of random jewelry boxes. During her research, Winnie would try and call her, but she ignored them and continued her research.
Soon, she heard her door open and later slam. Sara gasped and looked up, but didn’t see anyone there. She kept on working at her computer, till the lights flickered and soon Litho appeared behind her.
“Sara,” Litho growled.
Sara gasped and got out of her chair, fearful of the demon in front of her. She stepped back as Litho went towards her, cornering her to the wall.
“You TRAITOR!” Litho yelled, growling as he tried to attack her by using his puppet strings.
Sara screamed and dodged the strings. She ran straight for the door only for Litho to use his strings again and grab Sara arm before throwing her against the wall. Pain rushed through her body, as she slowly got up.
“I thought THIS is what you wanted you incompetent fool!” Litho yelled, making his way towards her.
Sara slowly backed towards the wall. She couldn’t escape, and even if she tried Litho’s puppet strings would just pull her back or worse.
“I’ve seen you kill before, I thought you’d be the perfect pawn in my plans!” Litho yelled.
“I’ve done enough!” Sara yelled back. “I wasn’t going to have Winnie kill the ones I love and care about behind my back! I’m done! I have enough blood on my hands already!”
Litho chuckled and glared, “You signed my contract and agreed to help me.” He stopped as he leaned in on Sara, who sunk back down, “humanity is cruel, dear Sara. You’ve seen it yourself, kids picking on you, hurting you for what?” He started.
Sara whimpered as the memories of her being bullied and hurt played in her head. She remembered three bullies in particular who took their bullying to the next level, really crushing her.
“Your wealth!” Litho finished, his eyes glowing red.
The memory of that fateful day in the woods played in her head.
Sara sobbed as she pulled her legs close to her chest, hoping it would protect her. The girl didn’t notice that Litho’s many red eyes were surrounding her.
“What about your friends, that pathetic excuse for a teacher, and even that Nicholson kid.” Litho listed down. “How do you think they’ll feel if they know?”
At that point, Sara realized Litho was trying to break her down into pieces. Like he did when they first met, and she accepted the deal. Sara looked up and glared, “I’ve told Lewis and Eric my past! They accepted it!” She exclaimed.
Litho laughed, “You think they accepted it?! Really!?” He asked. “How can you keep this from your best friend for years and he forgives and understands you?”
“That’s how Lewis is!” Sara exclaimed.
“But didn’t he try to end your friendship with you?”
“Only because of you and Winnie! I’ve been locked up in my office for hours and you kept me from talking with them!”
Litho glared as more eyes surrounded the woman. Sara saw she was surrounded as the demon chuckled. “What if he regrets his decision?” Litho asked.
Sara’s eyes widened, “what are you talking about?” She asked.
“I mean, does he really forgive you?” Litho asked. “What if he only forgives you out of pity?”
“I’ve known him since middle school, he’s helped me out more than you or Winnie did!”
“You would say Lewis is a nice man. However, he could be saying what he truly feels about this to the Nicholson kid and the Acrimony boy.” Litho explained.
Sara gasped, her eyes turning a dull pink for a moment.
Litho smirked seeing he got his puppet right where he wanted her.
Sara’s eyes widened as she imagined that scenario in her head. Lewis tells Wiatt and Oliver about her past, even though he promised her he wouldn’t tell. The boys hear about this and confront Sara calling her a monster or the worst person ever, and Lewis agrees to it.
The thought of Lewis lying to her just to make her feel better mocked her. Her eyes turned a dull pink at the thought of it. Sara shook it off pushing the thought away, which made her eyes back to normal.
“I don’t believe you,” Sara whispered.
“What?” Litho asked.
“I don’t believe you!” Sara growled. “I’m not listening to what you have to say, I’m moving on from this Frankenstein bullshit you're trying to pull!”
At first, Litho was shocked, but he let out a chuckle before laughing maniacally. Sara was frightened and confused as she saw the many eyes of Litho disappear.
“Oh, so that’s the game you wanna play?” Litho asked. “No matter, I guess it’s my turn to make my move. I got Winnie setting up a little…gift for a certain shy and pathetic boy.”
Sara’s eyes widened realizing Litho meant Oliver.
“That’s right. I should’ve brought that up.” Litho started, “Winnie told me about your powers, and I just so happened to be there the day that horrible girl and her pests used those against me.”
Sara was shocked to hear Litho had knowledge of the jewelry box. “You know about it?” She asked.
“Of course! I’ve been around since the day that girl created that box to destroy me! However, it turned me into THIS!” He growled as many of Litho’s eyes covered Sara’s office.
Sara shivered, but she knew Litho was talking about Clara.
Litho’s many eyes disappeared as he let out a sigh. “But back to your pathetic friend.” He started, “Winnie told me about your powers, and has been keeping an eye on you since. So he mentioned closets and I just so happened to send your little friend to go there.”
Sara’s eyes widened as what she saw from her powers played in her head. The sickening crunch of the tv falling on Oliver’s head echoed in her ears.
“N-No.” Sara whimpered. Oliver was in danger, if what she saw was going to happen she had to stop it. “Oliver!” She tried to leave, but Litho’s puppet strings grabbed her hand and threw her to the wall, harshly. Sara yelped in pain, and struggled to get up only for Litho to pin her to the wall with his claws. She screamed as Litho’s claws started to pierce her skin, feeling blood starting to trickle down her arm.
“Oh Sara, you're cornered again,” Litho spoke. Sara was breathing heavily as her eyes flashed from brown to pink. “This time you can’t push me away,” the demon lifted his hand, targeting Sara’s heart, “and you can’t run.” Litho’s puppet strings went to Sara’s heart where her soul was located.
Sara struggled and screamed in pain, but soon her body glowed a pink aura, which made Litho scream in pain as a pink pulse pushed him back stunning him.
The female founder felt pain in her chest, as she held it almost like she was pushing her soul back in. At that point, her eyes glowed a bright pink as she was sent through time again.
Sara saw what appeared to be a wasteland. She couldn’t tell if this was the past or the future, but froze as she saw two silhouettes at the entrance at what appears to be a gateway.
“Ed! Don’t do this!” A younger boy yelled.
Sara’s eyes widened as it dawned on her. When she was touched she saw the person’s future or past. Because Litho attacked her she wondered if one of those boys was Litho before turning into a demon.
Ed, or Edmund, as that was his full name, chuckled, as he put his hand on the switch to activate the portal, “Sorry brother, but I need to gather more souls, think about it! I can change the world! We can change the world” He yelled.
“How is killing people and using their souls going to change the world?!” Edmund’s brother shouted.
Sara gulped, getting her answer, that Ed was Litho in the past. She continued to watch, taking one step closer to the two.
Edmund’s brother growled seeing he wasn’t getting through to his brother, he tackled him, preventing him from opening the gateway. The two pushed, punched, and shoved one another, but during the struggle, the gateway turned on as a red glow appeared from it. It started to suck the two brothers in, even Sara felt like she was being pulled in as she grabbed onto something as she continued to watch.
Edmund’s brother was about to be sucked into the portal, but he held on to the edge of it. “E-Edmund!” He yelled. “Brother help me!”
Edmund showed no emotion as his brother cried for help. He slowly walked over to him and held his hand, before grabbing it tightly. “I’m sorry Agnus. I thought we were a team. I guess I was wrong.” Edmund whispered.
Sara and Agnus watched in horror as Edmund/Litho spoke, “If you won’t help me. I’ll find someone who will carry out my plans, and if they don’t.” Edmund paused as he pushed his own brother into the portal to who knows where before following after him.
Sara watched in horror, realizing Eric was right! She was just a puppet in Litho’s plans. That there were people before her and Winnie killing innocent people to harvest souls for Litho. She was still horrified as she awoke from her time visions.
Sara gasped as she saw Litho struggling to get up, he was still stunned by whatever Sara just did. She got up and quickly escaped her office and ran, hoping to grab Lewis and the others before Litho or Winnie did.
“SARA! You can’t escape me! SARA!” Litho’s voice echoed out.
She didn’t look back, she kept on running and hoping to find her friends soon.
Meanwhile, Oliver got a message from “Sara” about grabbing something from the storage closet. He was confused as to why, even though Sara warned him not to go into one. She claimed she left some important files in there accidentally and he just needs to quickly grab them.
Oliver figured it wouldn’t be too much of a problem and went into the closet where the files were located.
Sara quickly ran as fast as she could, opening doors through every closet to find Oliver and calling his name. “Oliver!” Sara yelled, opening the 5th closet. He wasn’t there and she went to the next room, “Oliver!”
She was scared at this point, at this point it would’ve been too late. Sara kept on running till she heard a door open around the corner. Quickly she ran and saw Oliver walk in. “Oliver,” Sara whispered.
Oliver went in and saw the files on the table. He did see a TV above him, but saw part of the bottom was removed. He gulped and brushed it off as nothing. Oliver saw the files on the table and picked one up, not knowing there was a string attached to the TV.
“Oliver!” Sara yelled.
“S-Sara?” Oliver asked, as he held the files, which in turn set up the TV trap.
Sara’s eyes widened in fear, “Oliver, look out!” Sara screamed, running to her friend and pushing him out of the way. The TV fell on Sara’s back with a sickening crunch.
Oliver was pushed towards a nearby cabinet and groaned. He looked up in horror seeing the TV that almost fell on him, fell on his best friend. “S-SARA!” Oliver screamed. The founder went over to his friend, and pushed the TV off her back. Horrified, he saw blood leaking through the female founder’s clothes, what’s worse she wasn’t breathing.
“Sara,” Oliver whispered, shaking her a bit, but she wasn’t moving. He went in to feel a pulse, but nothing. “Sara! Sara!” He yelled, shaking her as much as he could. Tears were coming out of his eyes at this point as he yelled Sara’s name louder and louder.
Oliver’s cries got the attention of Lewis and Wiatt who ran to where he was and they stood in horror seeing the female founder bleeding on the ground.
“O-Oliver! What happened?!” Lewis yelled.
“I-I was called here to find files, Sara came and pushed me, she was trying to protect me from the TV, and it fell on her.” Oliver cried.
Lewis looked down at his friend and kneeled down, shaking her. “Darling.” He said, but no response. “Sara! Wake up!” He yelled, yet still there was no response. Now, Lewis started to cry too, not noticing his hand was glowing blue. He just made up with his best friend, and now he was going to lose her. “Sara! Wake up!” Upon yelling, Lewis’s eyes glowed blue as ripples of the same color went through Sara’s body.
Oliver and Wiatt stared at the founder seeing his powers activate. “Y-Your powers,” Wiatt whispered.
Lewis looked down seeing the blue ripples going through his best friend’s body. The boys watched in worry not knowing what Lewis’s power was, and if this was harmful to Sara.
Soon the ripples disappeared, and Sara let out a groan before slowly opening her eyes. Upon doing so, she saw Lewis’s eyes glowing blue. “L-Lewis?” She asked, groggily.
Lewis and Oliver gasped seeing Sara was alright. “Sara!” Lewis exclaimed.
Sara groaned as she slowly sat up. Surprisingly for a TV hitting her in the back, she felt no pain. “W-What happened?” She asked.
Soon she was tackled and hugged by Lewis and Oliver. Sara was confused seeing her two friends cry and hug her as tight as they did, before seeing Oliver was okay, and without a TV on his head.
“You're alright. You're alright.” Oliver cried hugging his friend close.
Sara felt tears in her eyes seeing she saved someone with her powers, again. She hugged her two friends close to her, “I’m glad you're alright too.” She whispered.
“You should thank Lewis,” Wiatt spoke up, as the trio turned to face the boy. “His powers activated, and it turns out he’s a healer!” He exclaimed.
The Founder Trio let go of their hug. Sara and Oliver looked at their best friend seeing his eyes were still blue before fading away.
Then something clicked in Sara’s mind, if the TV fell on her she’d be in pain or worse by now. To be sure, she faced Lewis and asked, “if you can, could you check my back?” She asked.
Lewis nodded and slowly lifted up the back of her shirt, and was shocked. There was no gash or scar on her back, she was perfectly healed.
“Well?” Sara asked.
“You're fine, darling,” Lewis said. He put her shirt down. He then pulled her into a hug, “You're fine.”
Sara smiled and hugged Lewis back, “thank you, Lewis.”
Oliver didn’t want to feel left out and went to hug his friends back.
Wiatt on the other hand wanted to join in on the hug, but held back. Seeing his boyfriend and his best friends hugging each other close, made him feel hurt. Like a part of him felt jealous, but he also wanted to be part of that hug. This feeling made his eyes glow a dull yellow for a bit.
With all the chaos, Sara realized they were still in the facility and were in danger. “We need to get out of here!” Sara exclaimed.
“W-What?” Wiatt asked, his eyes turning back to normal.
“No time for questions, just run!” Sara then sprinted off with the boys not far behind her.
“D-Darling! May you please tell us what’s going on?!” Lewis asked.
Sara looked back, “I’ll explain once we’re somewhere safe! I promise!” She reminded her friend.
As the four continued to run, they suddenly skidded to a halt seeing the door was blocked with puppet strings; Litho’s Puppet Strings.
“Oh no.” Sara whispered.
“S-Sara what’s going on?” Oliver asked, frightened seeing their only exit was blocked.
Sara turned to her friends, and before she could explain a familiar voice spoke up.
“Well isn’t this a nice reunion!” Litho exclaimed.
The four turned and were in horror seeing Litho and Winnie grinning at them.
AAAAAAAA Thank you so much for letting me read this chapter and the ones before it was so much fun!
Magia Chap. 4-Sara's 'Other Friends'
Next chapter, and a Sara-focused one! This one was my favorite to write! Maybe because Sara is one of my favorite characters, and I wanted to shed some light on what she’s been doing behind the scenes.
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
As Sara was walking to her office, she answered her phone and sighed, “Hey Winnie.”
“Hey, Sara,” Winnie replied. “Listen, I've been realizing you're lacking in souls. You said you had that Lewis kid in mind and I don’t see his soul.”
Sara sighed, “Look I’ll get his soul as soon as I can. Things have…come up, recently.” She explained.
Winnie growled, “Well you better hurry up!” He snapped.
Sara flinched on the other side of the phone, whimpering a bit.
“Litho doesn’t like waiting. I promised him a soul, and I better see one, or else he’s not going to be happy.” Winnie explained, before hanging up on her.
The female founder groaned in frustration, as she decided to go to her office, cool down, and think of what to do before Winnie or Litho did something to the facility. Sara was so lost in her thoughts she didn’t realize she bumped into her old teacher and current engineer, Eric.
“Oh, sorry Sara!” Eric apologized, struggling to hold the stacks of papers in his arms.
“N-No it’s fine. I should’ve looked where I was-” Sara was cut off as she froze as her eyes glowed pink.
Sara saw she was no longer at the facility, but in the forest, facing a burning house. She was horrified, stepping back away from the fire. She couldn’t run, or do anything just watch the fire burn as a familiar scream rang inside..
“HELP ME! SOMEBODY PLEASE LET ME OUT!” Eric screamed, banging on the door.
“Eric?” Sara asked. She stepped back, she didn’t want Eric to die. Out of everyone in this plan of immortality, she wanted to spare Eric. “N-No. Winnie…why…why him?”
“CARLY?! ANYONE!?” Eric screamed, begging for help.
“N-No! Eric!” Sara screamed as she tried to rescue him only for the roof of the house to collapse, cutting Eric’s cries off.
“ERIC NO!” Sara screamed, as her eyes went back to normal. She breathed heavily seeing she was back at the facility and not facing a burning building.
“S-Sara?” Eric asked.
Sara slowly turned to see the older man, looking horrified. The papers he was holding fell to the ground.
“S-Sorry. I-I just…” Sara stuttered as the thoughts of Eric in a house fire plagued her mind.
Eric went over to her and hugged her tightly, shushing her and rubbing her back, “H-hey. It’s been a stressful few months, you and your friends need to take it easy for the day.” He said, in a soothing voice.
Sara sniffled and nodded, hugging Eric back. “A-Alright.” She replied.
Eric let go of the hug, ruffled Sara’s hair, and kneeled down to pick up the papers, “Once I pick all these papers up, I’ll let Lewis and Oliver know ok?”
“Okay,” Sara replied. She walked back to her office slowly, shut the door, and locked it. She slowly sank down to the floor pulled her legs close and buried her face.
At that point, Wiatt was right that she and Lewis did have powers. She wasn’t sure what Lewis’s was yet, but what she saw was a vision of Eric dying. She thought to herself, “Is my power time-related?”
“Wiatt, this is all your fault. You fucking idiot.” Sara whispered as she cried.
Sara quietly cried for about half an hour before calming down. She wiped the tears from her eyes pulled out her phone and called Winnie back. She had some questions to ask him, and hopefully, he’ll have the answers. Sara put the phone to her ear and waited for the Pegasus animatronic to call her back.
“This better be important.” Winnie groaned.
“It is.” Sara replied, “Where are you? I need to speak with you in person.”
Winnie smirked, “You know where I am,” He said.
Sara’s eyes widened knowing where Winnie was located. She hung up, unlocked her door, and looked around hoping no one saw her before stepping out of her office and headed towards the maintenance room. She looked around one more time before going in and shutting the door.
“Are you alone?” Winnie asked.
“I am,” Sara replied. “I made sure of it.”
Winnie groaned and stretched his body, tired of sitting around like he was broken. “Ah, finally! I hate sitting around like some rag doll.” He exclaimed. “So did you get the soul?”
Sara shook her head, which disappointed the Pegasus animatronic. “Before you get angry I have a question.” She stated.
Winnie groaned, “Not again Sara.”
“It’s important and I’ll get back on track with helping you.”
“Fine,” Winnie grumbled a bit, but Sara couldn’t make out what he said.
Sara pulled out her phone went to her photos and showed the most recent photo of Wiatt’s Jewelry Box. “Does this look familiar to you?” She asked.
Winnie looked at the photo and his eyes widened in shock. “Hey! I’ve seen that box before!” He exclaimed, “It was a family heirloom given from my grandfather to my father. What’s it doing in your hands?”
“It’s not mine. It’s Wiatt’s.” Sara replied, putting her phone back in her pocket.
“Who now?” Winnie asked, tilting his head.
“Just some friend of Lewis. He’s not my friend.” Sara answered. “Hey brought over this box, opened it and somehow all of us are acting strange.”
“How?”
“Well, for starters, did your family ever open the box?” Sara asked. If Winnie mentioned he and his family had it then sure she’ll get answers about how to cure her friends.
Winnie sighed, “We did, but all there was, was jewels. You couldn’t wear them, so we just let them sit on the high shelf as a way to organize books.” He explained.
Sara was surprised Winnie’s family opened the box, but nothing happened. So, why did something…magical happen?
Sara sighed, “Well for us…and this might sound crazy, but I think my friends and I got powers from the box.” She admitted.
Winnie stared at the female founder like she had two heads. He then snickered before going into full-on laughter, surprising Sara. “Oh, that’s rich! You, the other founders, and that Wiatt kid got powers from a box!” He laughed. “What’s next, one of those boys is my grandson!?”
Sara gave a light chuckle as if he wasn’t wrong.
The pegasus animatronic calmed down, and let out a sigh. “Alright, here’s what I’ll do. I’ll speak to Litho about this issue and see if he can issue you more time or let me do all the work.” He explained.
Sara sighed, “Thank you, Winnie.”
“Don’t thank me yet, Sara. Litho will still be angry about you not doing your job, and would probably make you do it for him.” Winnie said, inching close to Sara’s face. The female founder was frightened till Winnie pulled away and went off to where Litho was stationed.
Winnie walked towards a hidden area of the facility, an area that hadn’t been built yet, and the only thing there was caution tape. Despite working alongside Litho, Winnie was still nervous talking to him.
“Uh…Litho it’s me.” Winnie spoke up.
A black shadow with multiple eyes appeared towering over the animatronic.
“Carlos? What brings you here? Is Sara doing what she was told?” Litho asked, calling Winnie by his former name.
“Uh…no, but she did ask me a weird question,” Winnie answered.
Litho glared as he circled around Winnie like a predator stalking its prey. “Why is that little pest so incompetent!?” He shouted, surprising the animatronic. “I thought I had that incompetent fool wrapped around my finger the day her life came tumbling down!”
“Well, uh…you’ve been around for a very long time Litho. So you must have knowledge of Sara’s question?” Winnie asked.
Litho glared, “this question better be important.” He spat.
“So, does a Jewelry Box with gems containing magical powers sound familiar to you?” Winnie asked, giving a sheepish smile.
Litho glared, but hearing about the Jewelry Box did sound familiar. “It depends, describe it for me.” He said.
“Well, it had four jewels painted on the lid, the box was wooden brown and rectangular in shape, and oh there was a red jewel that looked like your eyes,” Winnie explained.
Litho’s eyes widened before turning into a deep glare as Winnie described the box in full detail. Litho then leaned in closer as he growled at the Pegasus animatronic. “And none of you took it!?” He growled.
“W-Well it’s under the hands of a kid named Wiatt, he opened it and Sara thinks she, him, and her friends have powers or something,” Winnie replied, nervously.
Litho growled and used his puppet strings to pull Winnie close, his eyes glowing bright red. “That box is the reason why I LOOK LIKE THIS, you parasite!” He yelled. “It was the first time I was defeated, before meeting…”
“Meeting who?” Winnie asked. “The kid with the violin?”
“What do you think, Nicholson?” Litho asked.
“Oh. I get it now.” Winnie answered.
Litho dropped the animatronic to the ground as he continued to ramble about the Jewelry Box, “That box was created many years before I met that child. The four of them tried to stop me, but it wasn’t enough for them. Frankly, they're gone now.” He explained before chuckling.
Winnie brushed himself off as he looked at the demon, “So now what? Do you still want Sara and me to create immortality, or-“ Winnie was cut off by Litho.
“OF COURSE I STILL WANT YOU TWO TO HELP ME, YOU PEST!” Litho shouted, making Winnie flinch. Litho then calmed down and continued, “But keep an eye on Sara, her friends, and Wiatt for the time being. I’ll find the victims for you, in hopes it keeps Sara in line.”
“Yes of course,” Winnie replied. “In fact,” he smirked, “I may have someone in mind.”
Back at Eric’s office, Eric finally picked up all the papers off the ground and got them all organized. “Phew…finally got things done.” Eric sighed. He turned around to see Carly, relaxing on the couch in his office as she played a game on her phone.
Eric smiled but was soon interrupted by a text. The text was from a number he didn’t quite recognize. Thinking it was a spam message he was going to delete it until he saw the message started with:
“Hey, the Director here…”
Eric opened up the message and read it:
“Hey, the Director here! I left some important documents over at the household of Mr. Lewis Bright. Please go pick them up as soon as possible.”
Eric sighed and got up, which caught Carly’s attention. “Where are you going?” Carly asked.
“Got a message from the director.” Eric groaned. “He wants me to run by Lewis’s house to pick up paperwork.”
Carly got up, “can I go with you?” She asked.
“No Carly, best you stay here and keep an eye on Lewis and his friends,” Eric told her.
Carly groaned and rolled her eyes as she went back to playing her game.
Eric rushed out of the facility passing by Lewis, who was confused as to where his former teacher was running off. “Eric, where are you going, darling?” Lewis asked.
“Oh, the director texted me that I needed to pick up some important documents at your old home. I’ll be back.” Eric said as he rushed off in his car.
Lewis was confused, did Eric forget to take his medication again? He knew his former teacher had poor memory, but he started to take medication which helped at times. However, there were days when those poor memories would randomly kick in, even if he did take his medication. However, that’s once in a blue moon.
“Lewis,” Sara said. “Where is Eric running off to?”
“Something about some files being left at my house by the director.” Lewis explained. “However, I don’t recall any files left by the director.”
Sara’s eyes widened remembering her memories from her powers earlier. She hated remembering that, however, it was all connected…
The house in the woods…Lewis’s house was in the woods.
Eric…Eric would be in that house…and then…the fire…that dreaded fire.
Sara snapped out of it and ran after her former teacher, “Eric! Wait!” She yelled.
“Sara! What’s going on?!” Lewis shouted, confused where his best friend was going.
“No time to explain! I need to stop Eric, he’s in danger!” Sara yelled as she jumped into her car and went to Lewis’s home, hoping to make it in time to stop the older man.
Lewis stood in shock and confusion, “now what’s going on with her?” He asked.
In the shadows, Winnie snarled and glared at Sara. “What are you doing Sara?”
Dreamers of Myths & Legends Chap. 3- Prepare for Trouble, We're Back on The Double!
I’m excited for this next chapter as we are bringing back some anime favorites!! That’s right! I planned this from the start to bring in a couple of anime favorites to this Au!
Everyone, you better prepare for trouble and make it double for our favorite trio, Team Rocket!
Also BIG thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading as always!!
Enjoy!
At night, everyone in the facility was asleep, however outside of the building three shadow figures tiptoed as they sneaked through the facility. They backed into the wall as the smaller figure looked out the window and saw Wiatt and his friends all asleep.
“Alright, they're sleepin’.” The smaller figure whispered.
“Good.” The two taller figures exclaimed at the same time. On cue, the street lights revealed the trio, a Meowth, a man, and a woman.
The woman had long, magenta-pink hair, styled like a comet, blue eyes, and wore a pair of green earrings. Her outfit was a white high-collared sleeved shirt with a large red R on the front over a black undershirt exposing her midriff, as well as a white mini skirt, black high-heeled thigh boots, and shoulder-length black gloves.
The man on the other hand had periwinkle, or rather lavender, colored short hair and green eyes. He also wore a white shirt with a large red R on the front over a black shirt, white pants, black boots, and long black gloves.
The three were Team Rocket, a pair of crooks that loved to steal Pokemon to give to their boss, Giovanni.
“So this is the new facility we’ve been hearing all about.” The woman named Jessie said.
“Yep! And from what I heard, the researchers of this place are searching for mythical Pokemon!” Meowth exclaimed.
Jessie laughed, “oh this will be fun!” She beamed. “James, this is the best way to debut once again!”
“Exactly, Jessie! Team Rocket cannot be stopped!” James beamed.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobuffett shouted.
A distant yawn was heard, and Team Rocket went into silent mode. They peeked through the window to see Ridley walking around the facility, hoping to find his way to the kitchen and grab himself a snack.
Team Rocket chuckled seeing they found their catch of the night. They stalked Ridley until the Pokémon went to the kitchen to get some fruit. Team Rocket saw a small opening in the window, pulled it down, and grabbed the Long Tail Pokemon by the tail.
“We still got it!” Jessie exclaimed.
“Team Rocket is back in business!” James added.
“And we’re here to stay!” Meowth finished.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet shouted.
The following morning, Wiatt was on the computer in the main room of the facility taking notes and drawing out a map as Oddity watched.
Passing by, Lewis yawned as he stopped and saw Wiatt on the computer. “Morning darling!” He exclaimed.
Wiatt turned and smiled, “Oh morning Lewis!” He replied.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed, saying good morning.
Lewis walked over and saw what Wiatt was doing. “What’s all this?”
“Locations where Mew was spotted. I think we can use this information for our research.” Wiatt explained.
Lewis looked through all this and smiled. “Wow, no wonder why you woke up earlier than usual,” He commented.
Wiatt chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.
“Hey!” Sara called out. The two boys turned their heads towards Sara who was with Olvier and a concerned Eric,. “We have a problem.”
“Have you two seen Ridley anywhere?” Eric asked.
Wiatt and Lewis looked at each other and shook their heads. “I haven’t seen him since I woke up. I thought he’d still be asleep.” Wiatt explained.
“Did you check Carly’s room?” Lewis asked.
“We did,” Oliver replied, “we checked the kitchen, bathroom, even our room.”
“Oh deer,” Lewis said, concerned for the Aipom. “We should look for him Wiatt, he could have escaped the facility.”
Wiatt sighed, he could hold off on Mew research to help his friends. If anything happened with his Pokémon he’d be concerned too. “Alright, Oddity stay here in case Ridley pops up and is hiding.”
“Vee!” Oddity replied, stopping his feet.
The two boys left the room and once they were gone, Oddity sniffed the room hoping he’d catch a scent of Ridley. Surprisingly, he caught it, as well as a scent he never recognized. Oddity tilted his head, jumped up on the computer, and saw the security camera icon blinking.
“Eevee?” Oddity asked, wondering if he had found a clue to Ridley’s disappearance. Oddity used his paws to move the mouse on the camera icon and clicked on it.
The Eevee watched the footage and looked in shock before letting out a loud cry. “Eevee! Eevee!” Oddity cried.
“Ow!” Wiatt exclaimed, hitting his head underneath the table. “Oddity?!”
“I think he found something!” Lewis exclaimed. The group left the room and went to the heart of the lab to see what Oddity found.
At the heart of the facility, the group watched the footage of seeing Team Rocket take Ridley away, but due to how dark it was outside it was hard to tell their features.
“I can’t believe some jerks would just steal Ridley like that!” Sara yelled.
“I-I hope he’s okay.” Oliver shivered.
“I hope so too, darling,” Lewis replied.
Eric sighed, before a determined look appeared on his face, “Well, we need to find him!” He exclaimed.
The four also got their determined faces on and nodded in agreement. “Right.” They all said.
Quickly the four and Oddity ran out of the facility to go look for Ridley. As they ran off, Sprigatito woke up and saw the group run off. After a bit of a stumble, the grass-type Pokemon was confused about where the group was rushing off to.
As the group was running, Sara came to realize something and quickly stopped. “Hold on guys.”
Wiatt skidded to a stop, which caused Lewis and Oliver to ram into the smaller boy as they collapsed to the ground. “Now what?!” Wiatt complained.
“How are we going to find Ridley?” Sara asked. “We only have footage of some thieves taking him, but that’s it!”
Wiatt, Lewis, and Oliver looked at one another realizing the only girl researcher was right. “She’s got a point,” Oliver said.
“But darling, where do you suggest we look?” Lewis asked.
Sara was about to answer until she saw Oddity sniffing around the area. After going through the ground, the Eevee caught a scent on the right, “Eevee! Vee!” Oddity cried out as he ran where the scent took him.
“Well looks like we got our answer,” Lewis commented and followed the Eevee.
“Okay, but how will Oddity find Ridley?” Sara asked.
Wiatt smirked, “Oddity can track scents, so if he can track the criminals or Riddley’s scent then we’re going in the right direction.” He explained following Lewis and his Pokémon.
Sara looked at Oliver, who shrugged and followed the three. The girl sighed and followed the guys hoping the Evolution Pokemon wasn’t leading them down the wrong path.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was camping out in the forest as they stared at Ridley, who they locked into a cage.
“You know, for a pair of researchers I’m surprised they only have one little Aipom,” James explained.
“Yeah. What do we do with an Aipom anyways?” Jessie asked, looking at Ridley.
“Now see this is where you guys need to start thinking out of the box!” Meowth exclaimed.
Jessie and James turned to their partner in crime.
“These twerps here are researchers looking for legendary Pokemon, right?” Meowth asked.
“Right.” Jessie and James answered.
“So, we capture their normal twerp Pokemon for legendary Pokemon. They get their twerp Pokemon back while we go off to the boss with the legendary!” Meowth explained.
Jessie and James smiled and squealed with delight, liking Meowth’s plan. However, James wasn’t so sure. “But Meowth, what if the new twerps don’t have any mythical Pokemon to give us?” He asked.
“Then we just take the usual twerp Pokemon!” Meowth exclaimed.
“Easier said than done!” Jessie exclaimed.
“See I told you this is why we need to think outside the box!”
Ridley sighed and hoped his trainer or the researchers would rescue him soon.
The group kept following Oddity as the Eevee continued to sniff the area as they got closer and closer to Team Rocket’s location.
“Are you sure Oddity is taking us to the right location?” Sara asked.
“I’m sure of it,” Wiatt said. “Oddity’s sense of smell helps me get around from time to time and I’ve found things I've lost.”
As Oddity was sniffing around, the ground gave up and he fell into a pit trap. “Eevee!” Oddity cried.
“Oddity!” The group yelled. They went to run over to the Evolution Pokemon before they all fell through another pitiful trap. The group groaned in pain.
“Ow.” Oliver groaned.
“Someone landed on my back!” Wiatt complained.
“That was me darling, sorry.” Lewis apologized.
After a bit of a struggle, the group was able to get out of the pitfall trap and help Oddity out of his trap too. “You okay Oddity?” Wiatt asked.
“Eevee Vee!” Oddity exclaimed, showing he was alright.
Wiatt smiled and hugged Oddity close making the Eevee hum in delight.
Sara groaned as she rubbed her shoulder, and looked at the hole she came out of. “Who would put a hole around here?” She asked.
“Probably the same people who took Ridley,” Oliver said.
Oddity gave a low growl as he carefully sniffed the area again finding Ridley and Team Rocket’s scent. “Vee.” He said knowing they were getting close.
The four nodded and carefully followed Oddity deeper into the forest. The deeper the group went into the forest Oddity stopped and saw there was a bridge the group had to pass through to get to Ridley.
The bridge looked steady, but with it being near rushing water, it scared Sara and Oliver. “Come on, we’re almost to Ridley,” Wiatt said as he followed his Eevee over the bridge. Lewis followed after and that left Oliver and Sara on the other side of the bridge.
Oliver was the first to gather courage and followed Lewis and Wiatt on the bridge. That only left Sara behind as she was nervous following her friends on the bridge.
“Darling, are you coming?” Lewis asked.
“You sure this is the right way?” Sara asked.
Wiatt rolled his eyes, “Look Sara if you’re scared you can just go back to the facility.” He told her.
Sara glared, turning red from a mix of anger and embarrassment. “I’m not!” She yelled.
“Then hurry up! Or we’re leaving without you!” Wiatt yelled back.
Sara glared but sighed and gathered the courage to start following her friends on the bridge. The five then got off the bridge, and Oliver and Sara sighed in relief finally off the bridge.
“Finally!” Sara and Oliver exclaimed.
“See you guys did it,” Wiatt said.
Soon the five heard voices coming in the distance, and Oddity glared as he ran straight to where the voices were coming from. “Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
“We must be getting close!” Lewis shouted as the four followed the Eevee to where Team Rocket was located.
Back with Team Rocket, Ridley tried to escape his cage, as Team Rocket held the cage as tight as they could to prevent the Long Tail Pokemon from escaping. “Man, this Aipom has gone bananas!” Meowth exclaimed.
“I know we should’ve stopped by a fruit tree before trapping it!” James exclaimed.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet exclaimed, also helping Team Rocket hold back Ridley.
“Hey!” Wiatt shouted, causing Team Rocket to turn and face the four. “Let Ridley go!”
“Eevee!” Oddity shouted.
Team Rocket was surprised but chuckled knowing this was all Deja vu to them.
“What’s so funny, whoever you are?” Sara asked.
“You don’t know who we are? Well, prepare for trouble!” Jessie started.
“We are well-known criminals on the double!” James added.
“To protect the world from devastation.” Jessie continued.
“To unite all peoples within our nation.”
“To denounce the evils of truth and love!”
“To extend our reach to the stars above!”
“Jessie!” Jessie exclaimed.
“James!” James exclaimed as well.
“Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!”
“Surrender now or prepare to fight!”
“Meowth! That’s right!” Meowth finished.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet added.
Wiatt and his friends stared at Team Rocket and then at each other. “Uh…we don’t know you,” Oliver said.
“You're the thieves that stole Ridley?” Sara asked. “For an evil team called Team Rocket, you sound pathetic.”
Team Rocket turned pale as a ghost hearing that they were insulted like that.
Jessie growled as her eyes flamed with anger, “Excuse me you little twerps! I’ll have you know we’ve been an evil organization for a long time!” She screamed, which scared the four.
“Yeah! How dare you insult us!?” James yelled. “We are the leanest, meanest, evil team ever!”
“Yeah! So you better shut your mouth!” Meowth yelled.
Wiatt blinked in surprise, “h-hold on! You could talk!? But you're a Pokémon!?”
“Yeah. Yeah. Surprise, surprise!” Meowth exclaimed. “Listen I’ve been down this path before, so let’s quit the rerun and get into the fightin’ and stealin’!”
The group growled till Oddity jumped in front of everyone to complain to Team Rocket. “Eevee! Vee Eevee!” He shouted.
“What do we want with Aipom?” Meowth asked, translating what Oddity exclaimed. “Well you see lil’ Eevee, us at Team Rocket and we fight for what’s wrong and steal Pokemon.” Meowth smirked, “like you.”
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed in shock.
Now it was Wiatt’s turn to protect his Pokemon. “You're not laying a single hand on Oddity!” Wiatt yelled. “Come on guys, let’s take them down!”
“Uh darling,” Lewis stated, “hate to be the bringer of bad news, but you're the only one with a Pokemon.”
Wiatt stared at his friends in disbelief and shock, “You guys don’t have any Pokemon with you?” He asked.
“No, sorry.” Lewis, Oliver, and Sara replied together.
Wiatt sighed seeing he was the only one with a Pokemon. “Can’t believe I have to do everything myself.” He mumbled. Wiatt then had a determined face and was ready to use Oddity in battle. “Ready Oddity?”
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed, ready to battle.
“Oh this will be fun, the twerps only have a little Eevee with them,” Jessie explained, mocking Wiatt.
“And when we win, we’ll take the Eevee and the Aipom!” James added.
Jessie and James took out their Pokeballs and were ready to release their Pokemon. “Seviper! Let’s go!” She yelled.
“You too, Carnivine!” James yelled as well.
Soon Jessie’s Seviper came out of its Pokeball and hissed at Oddity.
Carnivine however, decided to go to his trainer and give him a big hug while munching on his head.
“Not in front of the new twerps, please!” James cried trying to pry Carnivine off him. Once he successfully did, Carnivine and Seviper glared at Oddity who was determined to fight the enemy.
“Oddity, Quick Attack!” Wiatt commanded.
“Vee!” Oddity then ran at high speeds towards the two Pokemon, who dodged it. However, to their surprise, Oddity turned around and used Quick Attack again and attacked the Pokemon in the back.
“Alright, Seviper use Bite!” Jessie commanded.
“Seviper!” Jessie’s Seviper hissed ready to grab Oddity with its jaws.
“Dodge it!” Wiatt yelled.
Oddity jumped high, but Seviper tried to follow the normal-type Pokemon using the same move.
“Now, Shadow Ball!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Vee!” Oddity then opened his mouth as a black and purple ball of energy appeared. He then fired it at his opponent causing the poison type to fall to the ground.
Oddity however landed on the ground with ease.
“Carnivine! Bullet Seed!” James commanded.
Carnivine then started to launch seeds at Oddity, who missed each one.
“Use Double Kick!” Wiatt commanded.
“Double Kick?” Everyone asked, confused to see an Eevee learning Double Kick.
Oddity ran to Carnvine, jumped, and used his back legs to kick Carnivine twice towards his trainer. Jessie and Meowth looked shocked at Oddity who smirked.
While the battle was going on, Sara and Oliver worked together to get Ridley out of his cage. “We got you, buddy.” Oliver whispered.
“Aipom,” Ridley replied, whispering back.
Sara was able to grab a bobby pin from her bag and use it to unlock the cage, “there!” She said, but just as she was about to grab Ridley a familiar voice interrupted.
“Hey, twerps!” Meowth interrupted. “You leave Aipom alone!” Meowth was about to attack the two with Furry Swipes.
Sara and Oliver braced themselves for the attack, but Ridley broke out of the cage and used Swift on Meowth. Which pushed him back towards Team Rocket’s Seviper.
When the two researchers looked up they saw it was Ridley who protected them. “Thanks, Ridley!” Sara exclaimed.
Aipom squeaked in delight before saluting to the researchers. The three went back to Lewis, who’s been impressed with Wiatt and Oddity battling it almost looked like he was blushing.
“We got Ridley, how’s Wiatt doing?” Sara asked.
“G-Great.” Lewis replied, pointing at Oddity and Wiatt who were missing and attacking at every chance they could get.
Oddity was now panting starting to feel tired of dodging and constantly using Quick Attack. This made Team Rocket smirk that they just needed to attack together and finally capture the Eevee.
“Looks like someone’s tired.” James mocked.
“And it looks like we are about to get our capture of the day!” Jessie added. “Seviper, Poison Tail!”
“Carnivine, Vine Whip!” James commanded.
Seviper came towards Oddity with its tail glowing purple, while Carnivine launched vines from their hands headed towards the same target.
“Vee?” Oddity asked.
“Ready! Oddity do your Jolteon move!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Jolteon move?” Lewis, Oliver, and Sara asked.
“Jolteon move!?” Team Rocket asked.
“Wobbuffet?” Wobbuffet asked.
Oddity’s eyes gave a yellow flash as his furry collar started to spark with electricity. He let out a growl before electricity started to flow through his body. He let out a jump and soon a jolt of electricity came out from his body and went straight towards Carnivine and Seviper, shocking them.
Team Rocket screamed as not only their Pokemon were headed towards them but they got shocked as well before an explosion happened, and Team Rocket and their Pokemon were launched into the sky.
“Man, it’s been a while since we’ve blast off.” Meowth sighed.
“But, I’m in awe of that Eevee!” Jessie exclaimed, not caring she and her team we’re blasting off. “We should make that our new goal!”
“Then again, it will be the same old song and dance,” James mentioned. “Oh well, if that’s the case…”
“Looks like Team Rocket’s blasting off again!” Team Rocket shouted at the same time. Once they were far enough a star twinkled in the sky.
“Eevee! Vee! Eevee!” Oddity cheered as he jumped up and down. Even Ridley was cheering for his new friend.
Wiatt laughed as he went over to his Pokemon, who in return, ran to him and jumped into his arms. “Oddity that was amazing!” He cheered.
“Vee!” Oddity replied.
The hero trio was in shock seeing Oddity pull off an electric move, as to their knowledge Eevee never knew any electric type moves, especially seeing an electric move like that one.
“D-Darling?” Lewis started.
Wiatt and Oddity turned to his friends.
“Where did Oddity learn a move like that?”
Wiatt turned to his Pokemon and gave a smile. “I don’t know, when I caught him he already had that move.” He replied. “Heck, I don’t know what move it was, so I just call it Jolteon move.”
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
“Besides, why do you think I named him Oddity!”
Lewis blinked before smiling at the young boy as a slight blush appeared. Wiatt saw and slightly blushed as well not knowing Oddity was smiling at the two of them.
By the time the group left the forest, it was already evening and Eric was glad Ridley was safe as he hugged his Pokemon tight. “Ridley I’m so glad you’re okay!” He exclaimed.
“Aipom! Ai!” Ridley exclaimed.
“Thank you guys!” Eric exclaimed.
The four smiled glad to see Ridley was safe and sound. However, there was still a question lingering on everyone’s mind. “Um…Eric?” Oliver started. The professor looked at the researcher, “Do you know who Team Rocket is?”
Eric looked at the taller boy in shock. “Team Rocket?” He asked, looking horrified.
Oliver and the rest of the group looked shocked seeing Eric had known who Team Rocket was. “You know them?” Wiatt asked.
Eric nodded, “they are a band of evil crooks who love to steal Pokemon. They wreaked havoc in the Kanto Region not too long ago, but I thought they disappeared.” He explained.
The group looked puzzled, as the Team Rocket they faced didn’t sound like the evil crooks Eric was explaining. Evil sure, but more like weirdos than just plain evil. However, it didn’t bother Wiatt and the group.
“Will that won’t bother us!” Wiatt exclaimed. The group looked up at their friend, “After all we went them flying, so I’m sure we will never see them again.”
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
However, outside the window, Team Rocket appeared with a smirk. “Or so the twerp thinks!” They exclaimed.
“That’s right! We’re back in business!” Meowth exclaimed.
“Wobbuffet!” Wobbuffet exclaimed.
Dreamers of Myths & Legends Chap. 2-The Legend of Mew
Hehe... if you saw this posted before a few days ago for a few seconds. That was me, sorry!
Here is the next chapter! So I finished chapter 1 and the second I finished it the newest episode of WTDW (Season 2 Episode 3 for those reading this in the future) dropped and my brain immediately started to work on the next chapter.
Also, I went on a road trip during that time and my brain got TONS of ideas for this AU! Get ready for a TON of adventures featuring the four because this new AU is about to be fun!
Lastly, this story got some attention from one of the WTDW wiki founders, aka feral.fettucclni on Instagram! Thank you!
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!!
At night in the forest near the mountains, a mysterious Pokemon dodged an incoming Shadow Ball, which ended up crashing on the ground. The figure giggled as the Pokémon who was attacking it growled before trying to launch another Shadow Ball in its path.
The mysterious Pokemon then transformed into a Pidgeotto and dodged the Shadow Ball again before attacking back with Gust.
The other Pokemon, who was now revealed to be a Dusknoir was then slammed to the tree thanks to the flying-type move, as he growled and went to use Ice Punch.
The Pidgeotto de-transformed and it was revealed to be Mew. Quickly Mew teleported before the Ice Punch could hit them.
Dusknoir growled as it searched for Mew. Seeing that the New Species Pokemon was gone. He retreated hoping to find it next time. Once the ghost-type Pokemon was gone, Mew reappeared and laughed, finally outsmarting the creepy Pokemon. Mew then flew off into the mountains.
The following morning, the sun rose by the facility causing a ray of light to wake up Oddity. The Eevee let out a yawn and started to wake up Wiatt, which caused the rest of the new researchers to wake up too, except for Wiatt.
“Morning darlings.” Lewis yawned as he put his glasses on.
Sara got up and stretched, as she rubbed her eyes. “Morning.” She replied.
“Morning,” Oliver replied as well, stretching.
The three then looked at Wiatt who was still asleep as Oddity was trying to wake him up. Sara growled and got down from her bunk looking down at Wiatt. “Great, he sleeps like a Snorlax.” She commented.
Lewis then shook Wiatt a bit, causing the boy to turn away, yet continue sleeping. “Come on darling, you've got to wake up.” He said, shaking the other boy some more.
“Eevee! Vee! Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed, using his paws to smack Wiatt in the face, but even that didn’t wake him up. Oddity growled and quickly got out of the bed, before charging at Wiatt with a Quick Attack, slamming him into the wall.
The attack was enough to be felt in the kitchen and caused Eric, Carly, and Ridley to flinch and groan. “Ridley, would you like to check up on them for me?” Eric asked.
“Aipom!” Ridley exclaimed, saluting to his trainer before running upstairs to the researchers' dorm. He jumped up and opened the door to see Wiatt knocked out while Oddity smiled proudly. Oliver and Lewis looked worried at Wiatt, while Sara smiled, finally finding a solution to wake up Oddity.
“Looks like we got ourselves an alarm clock!” Sara exclaimed, joking over Oddity waking up Wiatt.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
Wiatt groaned in pain as he rubbed his head. He looked around before putting on his glasses to see that it was Oddity who woke him up using Quick Attack. “Morning, Oddity.” He sighed.
“Vee!” Oddity beamed as he ran over to his trainer and gave him a nuzzle.
Wiatt sighed and gave his Eevee a pet.
Later, the four got dressed in their clothes and went downstairs to have breakfast. There they saw Eric cooking pancakes for the group.
“Morning guys!” Carly beamed. She was already seated as she ate her pancakes. “We heard you had a rough awakening.”
Wiatt chuckled, “Nah I wouldn’t call it rough, more like an everyday routine.” He replied.
“Eevee!” Oddity chuckled.
The group sat down as Eric placed the pancakes on the table. The group each took one and enjoyed the breakfast cooked for them.
“Eric, this is really good!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Vee!” Oddity exclaimed eating his Pokémon food for breakfast.
Eric smiled seeing everyone enjoy his homemade breakfast. “Once you guys are through with eating. I’ll be giving you guys your first task!” He explained.
“Thanks!” Lewis exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Carly finished breakfast and put her plates in the sink. “While you guys go do your research stuff, I’m going to school.” She said as she grabbed her backpack.
Just before she could leave, Oddity ran up to her, almost asking her if she wanted to join the group on their research. Carly froze and slowly went around the Eevee before rushing out the door.
“Vee.” Oddity sighed.
“Give her time Oddity. She’ll warm up to you.” Lewis reassured the normal-type Pokemon.
“Eevee,” Oddity replied.
After breakfast, the four made it to the laboratory, Eric showed footage of a forest near the mountains being destroyed. This forest was the same one Mew and Dusknoir were fighting in.
“Man, what happened?” Wiatt asked.
“Not sure, from my knowledge this area is well known to have unusual activity,” Eric explained.
“Unusual activity?” Wiatt asked, piquing his interest.
“I’m guessing you want us to go over and investigate it?” Lewis asked.
“Exactly!” Eric exclaimed, with Ridley agreeing.
Wiatt chuckled, “This is great Oddity! Unusual things and researching, it’s the best of both worlds!” He exclaimed.
“Eevee! Eevee!” Oddity cheered jumping up and down.
“Don’t get too excited Wiatt,” Sara spoke up. Wiatt and Oddity turned to the girl, “We’re here for work, not a picnic.”
Lewis chuckled, “Come on Sara. This is our very first mission as researchers.”
“Yeah, we’re all excited for this,” Oliver added.
Sara sighed, realizing none of her friends were siding with her. “I’m excited too, Lewis, but Wiatt is way too excited for this.”
“Well, that makes it all better!” Lewis explained.
Sara rolled her eyes.
Eric then typed something on the computer and the group’s Rotom Phones went off. The group grabbed their phones and saw that their map app had a notification. They each clicked on the app and saw that the location they were headed to was near Route 26.
“I sent you guys the coordinates to where you're going. If you find something, document it and report back to me tonight.” Eric explained.
“Got it!” The four said together.
“Eevee!” Oddity cheered.
Soon the four left the facility and went to the forest area where they were located to go. By then Sara started to feel tired, complaining about walking so much.
“How long have we been walking anyways?” Sara asked.
“It hasn’t been that long,” Wiatt replied. “I mean we stopped for lunch just 10 minutes ago.”
“Yeah, but we’ve been walking for hours and only rested for 45 minutes!” She whined.
“Well if you want to go back to the facility, you can. No one is stopping you.”
Sara glared, her cheeks puffing up. She was fed up with Wiatt’s attitude. “Excuse me, Wiatt I’ll have you know we’ve been walking for hours! No way I’ll just be walking back!” She yelled.
“Then stop complaining, and do the research we were asked to do!” Wiatt yelled back.
Sara glared, but before she could do anything Lewis put his hand on her shoulder. “Calm down, darling.” He reassured his best friend. “We’re almost at our destination, so you could just relax.”
Sara sighed but crossed her arms and pouted.
As the four continued walking, something was watching them from the bushes. The eyes blinked before deciding to continue following the four. Oliver paused and looked back hearing something escaping the bushes.
“Did anyone hear that, just now?” Oliver asked.
“Hear what exactly?” Lewis asked.
Oliver looked around and saw no one else heard what he just heard. “Like something appeared in the bushes and just disappeared.” He explained.
The group kept looking around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. “It was probably a Pokemon just playing,” Sara reassured her friend. She gave Oliver a light punch to the shoulder, which still hurt the taller boy, “relax!”
“O-Ow,” Oliver whispered.
Up in the sky, a Starly kept their eyes on the four, but once the four were far enough the Starly transformed into Mew and continued to follow the group. However, Mew didn’t know it was being followed by the same Duskinor it was fighting with last night.
“Noir,” Duskinor growled.
The ghost-type disappeared into the shadows following Mew and the researchers.
The mythical Pokemon sensed this and decided to lead Duskinor away from the four. Duskinor looked up and looked between following Mew or following the researchers. The ghost-type decided to follow Mew, but their presence was now felt by Oddity.
“Vee?”
“What’s wrong, Oddity?” Wiatt asked.
“Eevee! Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed.
“You sensed something?” Wiatt asked, again.
Oddity nodded, “vee!”
“Where?”
Oddity sniffed the air and followed where Mew and Duskinor ran off. “W-Wiat Oddity!” Wiatt yelled chasing after his Pokemon.
“Wiatt, wait!” Oliver yelled going after his friend.
“Hey you two, wait up!” Sara yelled.
Lewis was about to go after his friends, but he heard a call coming from the other side of the forest.
“Meow!”
Lewis looked up hearing a cry. He looked around wondering where the cry came from before hearing the cry again. “Lewis!” Sara yelled, “Where are you going?!”
“I hear someone calling for help, darling!” Lewis yelled.
Sara sighed, she heard the cries too, and decided to run after her best friend. “Man, what a day.”
He ran as fast as his legs could take them as the cries for help got louder and louder. Lewis stopped and his eyes widened in horror seeing a Sprigatito trapped under some thorny bushes and struggling to get out.
“Oh no! Here let me help, darling!” Lewis exclaimed, running over to the Grass Cat Pokémon.
The grass-type Pokemon mewed and whimpered as Lewis struggled to untangle the thorns from her body. He decided to untangle the ones that got caught in Spirgatitio’s front paws. The thorns did scratch his hands a bit, but he held back his flinch to help out the Pokémon. Sprigatito let out a cry as the thorns got off of her paws, but Lewis soothed her with a pet.
“Hey, hey. It’s okay darling.” He whispered. “You're almost out.”
Sprigatito sniffled and saw the last of the thorns were removed. Lewis was able to hold Sprigatito and remove the last of the thorns from her body. “There, you're free.” He said.
Sprigatito looked up at Lewis and smiled. “Meow!” She beamed, giving the young man a thank you.
“You’re welcome,” Lewis replied. He realized he had never seen this kind of Pokemon and decided to scan it on his Rotom Phone.
Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokemon. A Grass Type.
It releases a sweet scent every step it takes, memorizing everyone around it. This scent becomes more potent anytime Sprigatito are near sunlight. They are also known to be attention seekers, and would sulk if ignored by people.
“So you're a Sprigatitio, huh darling,” Lewis said looking at the Pokemon.
“Meow,” Sprigatito replied. The two stared at one another for a moment, as Lewis reached into his pocket to grab a Pokeball, but before he could a familiar call rang out.
“Lewis!” Sara called out.
Sprigatito heard someone calling and then ran off to hide. Lewis tried to stop her, but soon Sara came by to find her friend. “There you are!” Sara exclaimed. “Why did you run off like that?”
“S-Sorry I was helping out a Sprigatito,” Lewis explained.
“What Pokemon?” Sara asked. “Don’t remind me you're crazy like Oliver was earlier?”
“N-No! Of course not darling!” Lewis exclaimed, defending himself, “It ran off when you called for me.” He pointed at the bushes where Sprigatito ran off.
Sara sighed, “Lewis, we need to find Oliver and Wiatt. Because of you, we split off from the two.” She told him.
“Alright, do you know where they went?” Lewis asked.
Sara was about to answer, but because she was focused on finding Lewis, she lost sight of where Wiatt and Oliver ran off too. “I don’t know.” She answered. “Both of you ran off, and I had to find you before you got lost! Now it looks like we’re both lost.”
Lewis thought and looked at their surroundings, and saw Sara leave footprints when looking for him. “Not yet.” He said.
“Huh?” Sara asked, confused.
Lewis pointed at her shoe prints on the ground, and the two smiled knowing Oliver and Wiatt weren’t too hard to find. “Come on!” Lewis exclaimed as he and Sara followed the footprints.
Once the duo was gone, Sprigatito appeared out of the bushes feeling safe to come out. “Meow?” She asked.
Meanwhile, Oddity was running and stopping each chance he got as he sniffed the area. Once getting the scent of the Pokemon he kept on running.
“Hey Oddity! Wait up!” Wiatt yelled.
“W-Wiatt slow down!” Oliver yelled, trying to catch his breath. “I’m…not a runner.” He finally caught up to Wiatt and bumped into him. “S-Sorry.”
“It’s fine,” Wiatt replied, as he stared at the damage. Oliver’s eyes widened seeing that they were in the part of the forest, Eric showed earlier before they left. “Oliver, I think we’re here.”
The two boys and Oddity looked around as Wiatt took photos of the damages close up. “I wonder what caused these damages?” Oliver asked.
“Eevee.” Oddity exclaimed, looking at the mess. Soon a tremor was felt and Oddity sensed it wasn’t too far away. The Eevee went off running again causing Oliver and Wiatt to chase after the normal-type Pokemon.
Mew and Dusknoir were in a 2nd round of their battle when the ghost-type went in to attack Mew with an Ice Punch. Mew dodged the attack and went in with Thunderbolt shocking the ghost-type Pokemon.
Mew laughed seeing it land the attack, but it angered the Dusknoir. The Gripper Pokemon growled and went in to use Will-O-Wisp to burn Mew. The New Species Pokemon dodged and missed the wisps and laughed once again before using Psychic to lift the ghost-type and slam it to the ground.
Soon, Oddity, Oliver, and Wiatt came in and saw the battle, and were in shock seeing Mew and Dusknoir into battle.
“What Pokemon is that?” Oliver asked.
“I believe it’s Mew,” Wiatt answered. To make sure it wasn’t another Pokemon, Wiatt grabbed his Rotom Phone and scanned the Pokemon in his dex.
Mew, the New Species Pokemon. A Psychic-type.
Due to how rare this Pokemon is, people think it’s only a mirage. However, it is said that Mew will appear to those who have a pure heart and desire to see it.
“It is a Mew!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed as well.
“Y-You mean that’s Mew! As in the mythical Mew!” Oliver exclaimed.
Soon an oncoming Shadow Ball flew right over them causing them to dodge the attack. The two looked up to see Mew transform into Absol and went in to attack Dusknoir with Night Slash, which caused major damage thanks to it being a ghost-type.
Dusknoir roared again and decided to go in for Will-O-Wisp one more time, but Mew used Absol’s Razor Wind attack to destroy the Will-O-Wisp before it could do damage. Soon Mew de-transformed and went back to normal.
While battling, Wiatt turned on the recording button on his Rotom Phone to take footage in hopes of showing it to Eric.
Lewis and Sara continued following the footprints and stopped seeing a Shadow Ball pass by and destroy a nearby tree. The two looked at each other and nodded and followed where the Shadow Ball came from and saw Oliver, Wiatt, and Oddity as well as Mew and Dusknoir’s battle.
“There you guys are!” Sara exclaimed. “We’ve been looking for you!”
“Shh.” Wiatt shushed the only girl in the group.
“Hey don’t shush me!” Sara exclaimed. “You and Oddity ran off, and I almost lost Lewis! You better have a good explanation?!”
Soon Dusknoir spotted the group and was ready to launch a Shadow Ball at them. Oliver and Lewis stared in horror as the Dusknoir made sure his Shadow Ball was big enough to obliterate the researchers.
Seeing the boys' faces in horror, Sara and Wiatt looked at Dusknoir as he launched the Shadow Ball at the four. The group huddled in fear but soon didn’t get hit. Oddity looked up and saw it was Mew using Protect on the group.
“Eevee! Vee!” Oddity cried out.
The four looked up and saw Mew used Protect to keep Wiatt and his friends safe. The Shadow Ball exploded into sparkles, as Mew dropped Protect and went in one more time with Thunderbolt. This time it hit Dusknoir directly, causing it to get paralyzed.
Before it could be damaged even more, Dusknoir sank into the ground disappearing into the shadows.
Mew cheered doing flips in the air seeing it finally defeated its enemy.
“M-Mew!” Wiatt spoke up.
The mythical Pokemon froze and turned to Wiatt and his friends who appeared out of the bushes, still in shock that it saved them.
“Thanks for saving us,” Wiatt added.
“Eevee!” Oddity replied.
Mew smiled, “Mew!” They replied before teleporting away.
The four looked at each other and smiled seeing they figured out what caused the destruction causing their first research mission to be completed.
By nighttime, Wiatt and the others made it back to Eric’s research facility and told him everything they witnessed. Heck, Wiatt showed Eric the footage of the battle between Mew and Dusknoir.
“You see, Mew saved us!” Wiatt exclaimed. “It’s been battling with Dusknoir or other wild Pokemon hence why all the damage.” He explained.
Eric chuckled, “Well you four did a great job doing this research, and this footage is amazing!” He exclaimed.
The group chuckled and smiled seeing their first mission was a success. Soon something came to Wiatt’s mind.
“That's it!” Wiatt exclaimed. The four turned to the shorter boy, as they saw his eyes sparkling in pride. “For our research, let’s do it on mythical and legendary Pokemon!”
“No,” Sara replied, after a few minutes of silence.
“W-What?” Wiatt asked.
“Wiatt you're crazy. I mean sure, legendaries and mythicals are fun to research, but that can’t be our top priority.” Sara explained.
“It doesn’t have to be! We’ll still be doing research for Eric, but on the side, we can find clues and mysteries about mythical and legendaries.” Wiatt explained.
Sara wasn’t impressed and still glared at Wiatt, “Yeah no! We’re not doing it!”
“Actually,” Lewis interrupted the two. “It doesn’t sound like a bad idea, darling.”
Sara’s eyes widened in horror seeing her best friend was agreeing with Wiatt. “W-Wiat, Lewis!” She exclaimed.
“I agree,” Oliver replied with a smile.
Sara was more in horror and shock seeing her two best friends agreeing with Wiatt’s plan. She turned to her only hope, Eric. “Eric, are you gonna say anything in this?” She asked.
“Well, this is my first ever facility, so you guys do what you want. I’m fine with it.” Eric replied.
Sara’s mouth dropped as she was in shock seeing no one was on her side in this. She let out a sigh realizing she was the only one with a brain in this research team.
“Alright!” Wiatt cheered. “From this day forward, the four of us are gonna do research on the legends of myths of the world!” He put his hand out as Lewis and Oliver put their hand on top of Wiatt’s. Seeing they were missing a hand, they looked at Sara who felt embarrassed doing this, but she sighed and put her hand on top of the guys.
“The four of us, are gonna be the best researchers forever!” Wiatt exclaimed.
“Exploring the myths of legends of the world, darling,” Lewis added.
“Researching everything we need to know as we discover secrets, big and small,” Oliver added.
“And who knows, discovering something new or making new friends,” Sara added, giving a small smile despite not wanting to do this.
“Together,” Wiatt and his friends lifted their hands in the air, as the four shouted at the same time, “We will be the Dreamers of Myths and Legends!” They exclaimed.
“Eevee!” Oddity exclaimed finishing the speech.
The four looked at their hands and each other as they shared a laugh.
Outside the facility, the Sprigatito that Lewis rescued earlier watched through the window and smiled. “Meow.” She beamed as well.
Chap. 24- Forest of Nightmares
(Late) Happy New Year! Long time no see! It’s been a while since I updated this lovely fanfic! I wanted a bit of a break to plan the next couple of chapters! Plus I did have an idea for this chapter, but I ended up changing it! Might reuse some of the old ideas for a future fanfic or chapter!
I feel like now it’s time to introduce a new group of characters to the Indie Kids lore.
Big thanks as always to @gigilefache for beta reading!
Enjoy!
It was Friday, and that meant another camping trip with the Indie Kids. Hat Kid had fun on the first one and suggested to the group if they could go camping every month on Friday. The group agreed.
However, this trip was different as Lucas decided to join them. After their last camping trip, Lucas announced he’d be joining them in hopes of keeping them safe.
“Ah! The perfect weather for another camping trip!” Kel sighed.
“It truly is!” Hat Kid agreed. “Thanks for coming along, Mr. Prince.”
“No problem.” Mr. Prince replied. “Alright, who wants to come with me to get firewood?”
“I’ll go!” Michael announced. “I’ve always collected firewood.”
“Thank you, Michael. Anyone else wants to join?” Lucas asked.
“Could I go?” Hat Kid asked.
Lucas nodded, “of course!” He exclaimed.
Hat Kid cheered and she went up with Michael and her teacher. The three walked away from the group and went to a clearing where some branches and wood were laid out.
Hat Kid picked up a couple of sticks till she spotted something in the corner of her eye. In the distance, she saw what looked like two kids in the distance. They didn’t look like anyone who went to the school unless someone took their kids camping and they were just exploring.
The kids in the distance turned around facing Hat Kid, who was shocked. Hat Kid rubbed her eyes and the kids disappeared.
“You okay, Hat?” Lucas asked.
“Y-Yeah just saw two kids in the distance and they just left.” Hat Kid replied.
Lucas looked at where Hat Kid saw the kids and too saw no one there. “Hmm, maybe a family is camping out here with their kids.”
“That’s what I’m thinking too.”
Lucas smiled and patted Hat Kid’s shoulder, which made her smile. “Come on, let’s bring this wood back to camp.” He said.
Hat Kid nodded, and along with Michael made it back to camp with their teacher. By the time they made it back, everyone got their tents up and camp officially started.
By sundown, Michael started the fire and everyone decided to warm up before eating. Lucas brought food for everyone which included sandwiches and chips as well as marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate bars to make s’mores.
“Alright, I got turkey club, tuna salad, as well as peanut butter and jelly. Who wants what?” Lucas announced.
“Did you put it all in one sandwich?” Hat Kid asked. The group looked at Hat Kid in disgust. “I’m joking, guys!” She laughed.
Lucas chuckled, “No, but you can have the first pick of sandwiches.” He offered.
Hat Kid smiled and took out a peanut butter and jelly for Bow and a Tuna salad for herself. “Here Bow. PB and J for you.” She said handing the sandwich over to her sister.
Bow smiled and took the peanut butter and jelly. “Thank you.” She replied. Bow unwrapped her sandwich and took a bite.
Lucas handed the kids a sandwich and while he did, the bracelet he got from Vanessa showed. This got Mu curious.
“Mr. Prince, what's that?” Mu asked.
Lucas looked at his charm and sighed, the kids already knew about his monster form, so telling them about Vanessa’s charm wouldn’t hurt. “It’s a stabilizing charm. You know, for my monster form.” He answered.
“Oh!” Mu exclaimed. “You mean in case you transform in school or anywhere else?”
Lucas nodded, “so far it’s been working.”
“That’s good!” Kel exclaimed, mouth still full with his sandwich. “Besides I don’t think Mr. Afton would like it seeing a giant worm on string teaching us.”
Lucas narrowed his eyes on his student. “Thanks, Kel.” He replied, deadpan. His form did not look like a worm on a string!
Kel smiled proudly before Aubrey elbowed him for his comment.
After the sandwiches were eaten, the campers decided to roast marshmallows for dessert. While they roasted marshmallows, Michael decided now was a good time to tell a scary story.
With a sigh, he started the story, “You know a night like this reminds me of Terry the Slasher.”
Evan almost choked on his marshmallow. “T-Terry the Slasher.” He shivered.
Michael nodded, “Oh yes.”
“Oh boy, here we go.” Hat Kid commented, rolling her eyes.
“He does this any chance we get,” Elizabeth whispered to her teacher.
“Really now?” Lucas replied. Elizabeth nodded in reply.
“20 years ago, there was a crazy killer named Terry the Slasher. No one knows his real name other than he wore a suit with the name Terry on it.” Michael started, speaking in a spooky voice.
Hat Kid yawned knowing this story won’t scare her. However, Evan and Bow held onto Lucas tightly scared of the story.
“Terry was known to come into campsites and hunt down his victims. He can take one, maybe two, or even a group of campers.” Michael continued looking at the group.
Basil was frightened and held on to Aubrey tightly who was also holding Sunny tight as well.
“Then one night! Terry the Slasher stumbled upon a campsite, fresh victims for him to kill. He quietly sneaks through the forest waiting for the victims to fall asleep. Once they were, his plan went into motion.”
Evan held on to Lucas very tight. Lucas looked down and held the young boy.
“However, before he could kill them. He didn’t realize these guys were hunters and suddenly his head was sliced off completely from their trap!” Michael yelled.
The group yelled and shivered. Bow felt uncomfortable feeling her neck as hearing that made her shiver.
“You think that’s the end of Terry the Slasher,” Michael let out a chuckle, which scared everyone. “Oh boy, actually his body was still alive, no one knows how, and he took one of the hunters and ripped his head to use as a replacement!” Michael yelled.
Basil felt sick and ended up fainting at the story. “Basil!” Lucas yelled.
The teacher went over to his student and checked if he got any injuries from fainting. Luckily, he was alright except for some dirt and leaves.
Basil started to come to and slowly got up, “did I fall asleep?” He asked, groggily.
“No, you fainted at Michael’s scary stories,” Mu said.
“Oh, again?” Basil asked.
Mu nodded in reply.
Lucas sighed and double-checked if Basil had any injuries, but he looked fine, still. “You okay, Basil?” He asked.
“I-I guess so,” Basil replied.
Lucas was relieved and gave a smile to the young boy. “I guess we should call it a night.” He said.
“Wait! Let me finish the story! It gets good!” Michael exclaimed.
“I think sleep is important before everyone gets nightmares,” Lucas replied.
Michael frowned, disappointed he couldn’t get to the interesting part of his story. He then felt a tap on his shoulder and saw it was Hat Kid.
“Think you can tell me the rest of the story?” Hat Kid asked.
Michael thought for a bit, “I don’t know. Don’t wanna give you nightmares.”
“Ha! You know me! I’m not scared!” Hat Kid beamed.
“That’s another thing. I’ll only tell those who are scared.” Michael replied.
“Alright, you two. Get some sleep.” Lucas said, ushering the two to their tents.
The two sighed and went to their respective tents to get sleep. Soon, the rest of the kids fell asleep in their respective tents.
A bit later, Evan couldn’t sleep thanks to his big brother’s scary story. He decided to go to Lucas’s tent and stay with him for the rest of the night. His tent was just next door, not a long walk. Evan grabbed the flashlight and left his tent to head to his teacher’s.
“Evan?”
Evan yelped and turned his flashlight to the person who said his name. However, he was relieved it was only Hat Kid.
“Oh, it’s you, Hattie. Why are you awake?” Evan asked.
“I just had to use the bathroom,” Hat Kid replied. “Why are you awake?”
“Can’t sleep.”
“Let me guess, Michael’s story?” Hat Kid asked.
Evan nodded. Hat Kid gave a small smile and ruffled the little boy’s head. “Hey, it's just a story. Besides, nobody can be alive after going through something deadly.”
The young boy sighed feeling a little better. “Okay.” He said. “Could I sleep with you and Bow tonight?”
“Sure.” Hat Kid replied.
The two were about to head back until they froze. The two kids Hat Kid saw earlier were near the campsite.
Evan squeaked and hid behind Hat Kid. The latter looked behind her and slowly walked over to the kids. “H-Hattie no!” Evan whispered.
“Relax Evs. I’ll be fine.” Hat Kid replied, looking back at the younger boy. She then turned to face the other kids, reminding herself she was not scared and that these two were just kids like her and Evan. “Uh…hi. You're the same kids I saw earlier, right?”
The kids blinked before looking at each other and back at Hat Kid.
“I’m not gonna hurt you. I just want to know you two.” Hat Kid reassured them.
The kids stood still as Hat Kid walked closer to them, which caused the kids to run away.
“W-Wait!” Hat Kid called out before chasing after them.
“Hat Kid, wait!” Evan cried out and went to chase her into the forest.
Evan's cries woke up Lucas who groaned and wondered what was going on.
During the chase, the kids proved to be faster and more skilled with jumping through trees and back on the ground. Hat Kid on the other hand had to use her Sprint Hat just to catch up to them.
Evan however, wasn’t the fastest and had to stop to catch his breath. “Hattie, slow down.” He said, trying to catch his breath.
Hat Kid turned around and saw the young boy was far behind, but looked back at the other two kids who were running further and further away from her. She had to choose to follow the mysterious kids or head back to help Evan. It was a hard choice, but ultimately she made the right one.
She ran back to Evan and pulled him onto her back. “You okay?”
He nodded, “Yeah. Thank you.”
“No problem.” Hat Kid looked back and forth seeing the two mysterious kids get further away now, but saw camp wasn’t too far away. “Well, what do you want to do, Evs? Wanna catch up with the kids or head back?”
Evan looked back at the campsite before looking in the direction where those mysterious kids ran off. “We could head back.” He said.
Hat Kid sighed, she really wanted to meet those two kids, but knowing Evan was younger than her she didn’t want him to get hurt and decided to head back to the campsite to get some sleep.
However, the two got stuck in a trap and were hanging on a net.
“What the peck!” Hat Kid yelled.
“H-Hey! This isn’t funny Michael!” Evan cried, tears starting to fall from his eyes.
The two struggled to get free, till they felt a tug on the net. They looked up and saw the two kids in a clear view now.
The kids were a boy and a girl. The boy wore a paper bag with eye holes cut out to see and wore a brown coat.
The girl had shaggy dark hair and wore a yellow raincoat.
The boy shushed the two as his friend took out a knife and started cutting the rope.
“Quiet.” He whispered. “Let us help.”
Hat Kid nodded and held on to Evan in hopes of calming him down from his crying.
The girl cut the rope and with a snap, Hat Kid and Evan were free.
Hat Kid sighed, “Thank you.”
The girl nodded as if to say you’re welcome.
“I’m Mono and this is Six.” Mono introduced himself and his friend.
Six went to Hat Kid and Evan and smiled holding her hand out. Hat Kid took her hand and shook it.
“I’m Hat Kid and this is Evan.” She replied, introducing herself and her friend.
“H-Hi.” Evan stuttered.
Mono and Six waved at the two. “What brings you here?” He asked.
“Camping we do this once a month.” Hat Kid explained. “What about you two?”
“We live here.”
“With your family?” Evan asked.
Mono and Six looked at each other and frowned. “No, just us,” Mono said. “We never had a family.”
Hat Kid frowned, understanding how the two felt. “Same here.” She replied. “It’s just me and my sister.”
“Oh, I’d assumed Evan was your brother,” Mono stated.
The little boy looked up at Hat Kid and back at Mono and Six, “We’re not siblings. She’s just a friend of mine.”
“I see.”
Soon, the four heard a rustle coming from the bushes and Six growled and went up in front to protect her new friends.
“Evan!” Michael called out.
“Hattie!” Lucas shouted.
“Mikey!” Evan shouted back.
“Mr. Prince!” Hat Kid shouted back as well,
Michael and Lucas as well as Elizabeth and Bow appeared from the bushes. They were relieved to see Hat Kid and Evan were alright, except for Lucas who was in shock seeing the two other kids.
Michael ran to Evan and hugged his younger brother tight. “Are you okay?” He asked.
“I'm fine!” Evan yelled.
Michael let go of the hug and glared, “Don’t scare me like that again you nitwit!”
“Sorry! Sorry!” The little boy apologized.
The older brother loosened his glare and hugged Evan back.
“You alright Hattie?” Bow asked.
Hat Kid nodded. “I’m fine, Bow.” She replied.
Bow sighed and hugged Hat Kid tight, causing the latter to hug back.
Lucas went over to Mono and Six and kneeled at their level. “Hi there. I’m Hat Kid’s teacher, Mr. Prince.” He said, calmly reaching his hand out.
Six growled as she held Mono close. She didn’t trust this man at all.
Lucas sensed the girl was untrustworthy of him, and he put his hand down. Six was surprised as she loosened her grip on Mono. “W-Who are you?” He asked.
The two looked at each other, and Six nodded to Mono giving him the okay to introduce themselves to the teacher.
“I’m Mono and this is Six,” Mono answered.
“It’s nice to meet you two,” Lucas replied. “Do you live here?” He looked around the forest.
“We do.” Mono then looked down. “But we don’t have a family.”
Lucas frowned, “o-oh.” He said. The teacher looked back at Hat and Bow who were talking and getting comfort from Michael.
“Well, we better get going,” Mono said. He took Six’s hand and started to walk off. “Good night!”
“Wait!” Hat Kid shouted, stopping the two kids in their place. “If you like, want to camp with us?”
Mono and Six looked at each other, but Six tugged on Mono’s sleeve begging him not to go with them.
“S-Sorry. We really need to get going.” Mono said.
Hat Kid sighed. “Alright, but if you change your mind you're welcome to join us.”
“Thank you. Good night.” Mono and Six walked off heading back to their home.
“Good night,” Evan replied, waving.
Once they were gone, Lucas and his students went back to the campsite for some needed sleep.
By sunrise, Mono was the first to wake up. He let on a yawn and saw Six looking out in the distance where Hat Kid and the rest of her friends were camping,
Mono smiled and walked over to his friend. “So, interested in joining them this morning?” He asked.
Six was surprised and jumped back before realizing it was Mono. She growled and punched Mono on the arm, which caused him to laugh.
“Sorry!” He apologized, chuckling.
Six sighed and turned back to where everyone was camping.
Mono sighed and sat next to his friend, “We don’t have to be alone anymore. I trust these guys more than anyone else,” he explained.
Six looked at her friend and gave a small smile and mumbled, “Are you sure you trust them?”
Mono nodded, “I do. I don’t think they’ll harm us.”
Six then held her hand out and the two started walking back to the campsite.
Meanwhile, the campers were having breakfast which was fresh fruit Kel brought with him as well as some leftover sandwiches.
“How about after breakfast why don’t we go on a hike before heading home?” Kel suggested.
“Fine by me,” Basil said.
“Same here!” Hat Kid exclaimed, her mouth still full of food.
“Kiddo!” Lucas snapped. Hat Kid turned to face her teacher. “Don’t talk with your mouth full!”
Hat Kid swallowed her food, “sorry,” she apologized.
“It’s okay. Just remember next time.” Lucas replied.
Hat Kid nodded and kept eating her breakfast.
Soon the kids heard a rustle in the bushes and saw Mono and Six come out. Those who didn’t meet the two froze like they were bears ready to attack, while those who smiled seeing their new friends.
“Uh, who are they?” Aubrey asked.
Hat Kid smiled and went to the two forest kids. “Everyone, this is Mono and Six.” She said introducing her new friends.
“Hi guys,” Mono said, calmly. “Um… it’s nice to meet you all.”
The group went quiet looking at one another before Basil responded. “Nice to meet you guys.”
Mono chuckled and gave a smile seeing the group welcomed them.
“Would you two like to join us for breakfast?” Lucas asked.
“Of course.” Six replied. Her speaking surprised Hat Kid as she hadn’t heard her speak since they met.
Six and Mono sat down with the group as Lucas handed them a sandwich and berries to eat.
“After we eat we’re going on a hike! You want to join?” Mu asked.
Six and Mono nodded in agreement. “Sure,” Mono replied.
The group smiled and enjoyed their breakfast. Once done, they packed up and decided to go on their hike.
As they hiked, Mono and Six lead the group as they’ve lived in the forest their whole lives, and they practically know this forest like the back of their hands. Once they were done with their hike, the group headed back to their campsite to spend one more night, this time with Mono and Six joining them for dinner.
While having dinner, Hat Kid decided to ask Mono and Six a question. “Hey, since you two don’t have a home, would you like to live with us?” She asked.
Six and Mono looked at the young girl, “Live with you?” Mono asked.
Bow Kid nodded, “Well you guys have been living in the forest for some time, and we figured you two could join us at our school.”
“S-School?” Six asked.
“Yeah, our school is fun!” Kel exclaimed.
“It’s mostly learning.” Lucas explained, “But it’s fun. After all, you kids keep me and most of the teachers on our toes.”
“Aww.” Hat Kid replied as she hugged her teacher.
Lucas chuckled and wrapped his arms around the young girl.
“Well, what do you guys do at school?” Mono asked.
“Everything!” Bow Kid exclaimed.
“It’s either gonna be fun or prison. It depends on how you see it.” Michael added.
Lucas chuckled, “No it’s not a prison. It’s a place to learn and have fun.” He reassured the two kids.
“Like I said, it depends on how you see it,” Michael repeated.
The teacher sighed and rolled his eyes in response.
Mono and Six thought about it, and Mono was interested in the idea of joining their new friends in school. However, the latter was nervous about joining the group due to too many haunting memories. Those memories played repeatedly in her head before she felt a nudge.
“You ok?” Mono asked.
Six nodded, forcing a smile on her face.
“So what do you think about joining the group?”
Six wanted to say no, but seeing Hat Kid and Evan’s face smiling made her feel forced to say yes. With a sigh, she nodded. “W-Why not. I’ll give it a try.”
Hat Kid smiled, “trust me. You’ll love it!”
Six gave a small smile and continued to eat her dinner. In truth, she was scared of joining the kids at the school, but something inside her told her not to worry and that she and Mono will be fine.
Until I Found You Chap. 6-Love Advice
Here is more of my lovely crackship! It’s a pretty short chapter, but I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
Enjoy!
The sun had set outside, and Artemis knew it was time to take Hayley home for the night. She was already tired and was trying her best to stay awake.
“She looks knocked out,” Sara commented.
Artemis chuckled as he picked up his niece, ready to go home for the night, “We probably should get going.” He said.
“Wait,” Artemis stopped as Sara gave him an envelope, “before you go, here are your tickets for the event,” Sara said.
Artemis took the envelope and looked up at Sara. “W-Wow thank you.” He said, surprised.
“The workers always get two extra tickets for any events we hold here,” Sara explained. “Figured having you and Hayley as my plus two.”
Artemis smiled, blushing a bit. “Again, thank you.” He replied.
“Anytime,” Sara responded.
The two stood there awkwardly blushing, trying to find out what to say to each other next. “Well, see you later I guess,” Artemis said, leaving the facility.
“Y-Yeah! See you around I guess!” Sara exclaimed. Once he was gone, Sara was finally able to breathe and quickly rushed to her office.
As she ran, she realized she was falling in love with Artemis. It wasn’t just a friendship, it now morphed into a small crush.
Once inside her office, Sara sat down to relax. She looked at the intercom and called Lewis over, hoping he could give her advice.
“Lewis, could I see you in my office?” Sara asked. She waited for a response from her friend, but soon the intercom turned on.
“It will be a while, Sara! I have to help Starlight with this play!” Lewis exclaimed.
Sara groaned. She tapped her fingers on her desk and had to think of who she could talk to.
Maybe Mike or Alyssa?
Sara sighed, she forgot Mike was off and Alyssa left already. She could talk to Oliver, but she forgot the two of them were both awkward with their respective crushes. She was left with no other choice.
“Wiatt, could you come to my office!” Sara called out. She waited for a bit, and soon a knock was heard at the door. “Come in!”
The door opened, revealing Wiatt. “You wanted to see me?” He asked.
“Yeah,” Sara answered.
Wiatt closed the door and slowly walked over to Sara. “Might I ask why?”
Sara felt nervous, wondering if this was a bad idea to talk to Wiatt. He never trusted her in the beginning so why now is she asking for his help? “I-I just need to ask…” her voice trailed off.
“Ask what?”
“Uh…how did you feel when you were crushing on Lewis?” Sara asked.
Then it hit Wiatt on why Sara asked that question. “Normally I ask why, but seeing how the last few days have been playing out... You have a crush on Artemis.” He explained.
Sara groaned. She was right, this was a bad idea!
Wiatt chuckled, “Sara, it can be seen from space! You like this guy!” He exclaimed.
“Okay! So what if I do?” She snapped. “Yes I like him, but he sees me as a friend, and I see him as more than that!” Tears were appearing in her eyes now, “I want to tell him how I feel, but what if he rejects me? And what if he finds out about my past, everything and he sees me as some monster!”
Wiatt was silent at this point. Sara only vented to Lewis and Oliver, and at times Eric, but with him, she always kept a cool demeanor or she would snap and tell him to leave her alone and that it was none of his business.
Heck, Wiatt couldn’t come up with a comeback or a joke. He knew what Sara was going through was what he went through with Lewis.
Sara sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes, “I’m scared Wiatt. I don’t want to be hurt again.”
Wiatt sighed, giving Sara some time to let out. He sat down in the chair across from her desk. “Sara, I know we don’t see eye to eye, but what you're feeling is valid.”
Sara turned to Wiatt and sat down in her chair.
“To answer your earlier question. I felt that way with Lewis. Remember?” Wiatt asked.
Sara nodded, “you were in mine and Lewis’s freshman Math and English class. You guys got close, and then at the beginning of the sophomore year you two started dating.” She explained.
“Right, but I was in the middle of transition when I first met Lewis,” Wiatt admitted. “I was scared Lewis wouldn’t like me, and I cried nonstop. However, when I finally confessed it felt like everything I worried about was for nothing.”
Sara smiled, tears still glistening in her eyes. “Well, you were a distraction.”
Wiatt chuckled, “anyways. Artemis likes you, a lot!” He exclaimed. “Plus I don’t think you have to worry about losing him, his niece is gonna make sure of that.”
Sara chuckled, “Hayley is sweet. Sneaky, but sweet.” She explained.
“Oh, tell me about it. While you were having your meeting, she was talking with Masquerade and then I saw him go into the Employee’s only area.”
“So she’s been sending the animatronics over to spy on us now,” Sara said.
“Pretty much!” Wiatt explained.
Sara smiled, feeling better, “Anything else?” She asked.
“Don’t get too creepy, like stalker creepy,” Wiatt added.
Sara frowned at hearing that. She was not that crazy.
“Plus, don’t rush on things. Give it time, you’ll know when you're ready.”
“How so?” Sara asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ll just know. When you feel those sparks and ready to let out everything. That’s when you drop how much you love him and want to be with him.”
“Thanks, Wiatt,” Sara said.
“Anytime,” Wiatt replied.
“Well, you're good to go,” Sara said. Wiatt was about to stand up and leave, but Sara stopped him once again, “And please don’t tell Lewis and Oliver about our chat. I'd rather not have Lewis say it to my face that we’re becoming friends.”
Wiatt chuckled, “Don’t worry your secret's safe with me. Unless it becomes obvious the next time he comes.” He explained before closing the door.
Sara chuckled, rolling her eyes. “Idiot.” She whispered.
Wiatt was heading back to finish up the decorations only to see Oliver and Lewis talking. The latter saw his boyfriend and smiled running to him. “Hey Wiatt.”
Wiatt smiled and hugged his boyfriend back before kissing him on the cheek. Lewis blushed and chuckled.
“So did Sara confess she liked Artemis?” Lewis asked.
Wiatt’s eyes widened, “H-How did you know?” He asked.
“Darling, Oliver, and I are Sara’s best friends. We know everything about each other.” Lewis explained.
“P-Plus I overheard some of the conversation,” Oliver confessed.
“And the fact that she’s been spending time with him, even during work hours,” Lewis added.
“And she sees him like how Lewis sees you and how I see Damien.” Oliver finished,
Wiatt was in shock, “Wow, you three are best friends for life.”
“Exactly!” Lewis and Oliver exclaimed at the same time.
“Anyways, don’t tell anyone else. I don’t want Sara to think I told you guys.” Wiatt said.
“Darling, everyone at the facility knows about Sara’s crush. It’s obvious from space!” Lewis exclaimed.
Wiatt had nothing to say but smiled knowing he kept Sara’s promise. It was just her not keeping her crush too well of a secret.
By nighttime, Dreamworld had closed and the founders decided to head home for the night. Sara decided to walk home again for the night as she felt safer recently.
While Sara was walking, she had an odd feeling in her gut that someone was behind her. She quickly turned around, but saw no one and shrugged it off.
The figure was hiding in a corner and sighed before continuing to follow the young girl. The closer he got his red puppet strings came out, and they were heading towards Sara.
In the corner of her eye, Sara saw the red puppet strings, and before she could scream the strings wrapped around her.
Until I Found You Chap. 5
((Posting the entire story like this now instead of links! If you wanna read chapters 1-4 click here!!!))
Happy New Years!!
Here is more of my lovely crackship for you all to start off the new year!
So, I did see the prologue and Episode 1 for WTDW Season 2 and I had to change a few ideas that focused around Norman. I won’t say till we introduce him, physically, but yeah how I portrayed him in Chapter 2 would have to be re-written or explained in a future chapter.
All I can say is, Sara is living the trope of a protagonist falling in love with a childhood friend (Norman) and the mysterious/bad boy (Artemis/Moonjumper).
Big thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader!
Enjoy!
On Friday afternoon, Artemis parked in front of Dreamworld Entertainment and smiled looking at his niece in the backseat. “Well Hayley, we’re here!” Artemis announced.
Hayley had brown hair tied into a ponytail with a yellow ribbon, blue eyes, and wore a yellow and white jacket over a purple t-shirt, black jeans, and brown sneakers. She smiled looking at the window and quickly got out of the car.
“I can’t believe I’m finally going to Dreamworld!” Artemis’s niece beamed in excitement.
Artemis chuckled as he got out of the car, but before he could take a hold of his niece’s hand, Hayley bolted inside the facility.
Inside, Wiatt was setting up Halloween decorations when suddenly the door bolted open and he ended up losing his balance, only to hang onto the decorations for dear life.
Artemis soon followed after his niece, ignoring Wiatt who was struggling not to fall to his death. “Hayley, don’t run off like that!” He yelled.
“Sorry, Uncle Artie!” Hayley replied, giggling.
“H-Hey! A little help!” Wiatt called out.
Artemis and Hayley turned to see Wiatt hanging on to a banner for dear life. “How’s it hanging, Wiatt?” Artemis asked.
Wiatt glared, however, as much as he wanted to curse at him, he saw that Artemis had a kid. “Ha, ha, very funny.” He replied. He tried to use his feet to get on the ladder again, but it was too far away from him.
Hayley saw Wiatt needed help and went over to drag the ladder to him. Feeling his foot touch the ladder, Wiatt was able to steady himself using the banner and wall as a balance.
“Thank you.” Wiatt said, giving a sigh.
“You’re welcome!” Hayley replied.
“Waitt, meet my niece, Hayley.” Artemis said.
“Hi there!” Hayley beamed waving to the mechanic.
Wiatt gave a light chuckle and waved back, “hi.” He replied.
“Wiatt, do you know if Sara is in today?” Artemis asked.
“She is! She's in a meeting with Lewis and Oliver, so I wouldn’t bother them right now.” Wiatt replied as he continued setting up the decorations.
Artemis and Hayley looked at each other before giving a smug smile. “Okay. Come on Hayley, let's go see my friend.”
Wiatt’s eyes widened seeing Artemis and Hayley walking towards the Employee Only entrance.
“W-Wait! Hold on!” Wiatt yelled. “I said you can’t bother them right now!” He groaned seeing Artemis nearing the door and not listening to him.
Just before Artemis opened the door, the founder trio opened it themselves, having been done with their meeting, and wanting to check on the workers and guests at the facility. Sara froze in shock seeing Artemis was here, earlier as usual.
“Oh! Y-You’re here.” Sara said, stuttering a bit.
“As I promised.” Artemis replied with a smile.
Sara smiled back and looked at Hayley, “is this your niece?” She asked.
Artemis nodded, “this is Hayley. Hayley, this is my friend, Sara.”
“Nice to meet you, Miss Sara!” Hayley beamed.
Sara chuckled, “She’s so cute!” She commented.
Hayley giggled, “thank you.” She replied.
Sara and Artemis giggled and smiled at each other. Seeing the two wanted to talk alone, Lewis decided to speak up.
“If it's okay with you, darling, may Oliver and I show Hayley around the facility?” Lewis asked.
“Oh! O-Of course.” Artemis smiled, giving a slight blush. Sara was the same, nodding as well.
“Y-Yeah, uh… Artemis come with me.” Sara stuttered as she took his hand. The two looked down and pulled their hands away, blushing harder.
Hayley’s eyes widened as she gave a smug smile. “Ooooh.” She commented. The adults turned towards the kid as Artemis gave a nervous chuckle. He quickly left with Sara to her office for alone time.
Hayley chuckled seeing her uncle in love as Lewis and Oliver began to give the young girl a tour.
Once at Sara’s office, Artemis and Sara breathed in relief as they were able to escape the embarrassment. “Sorry about that. Hayley has a unique personality.” Artemis said.
“It’s fine.” Sara reassured him. “She’s very sweet.”
“She is. It’s funny how she went from a shy little girl to someone open, quirky, and silly as she calls it.” Artemis explained.
Sara giggled in reply.
Artemis sat down and smiled staring into Sara’s eyes. “So… getting ready for Halloween?” He asked.
Sara sighed, “well, sorta…” she replied.
Artemis frowned, “what’s wrong?” He asked. “You work at an entertainment facility! It’s got to be fun!”
“It is. Every month Lewis, Oliver and I come up with ideas for what fun events should take place here. Lewis and Oliver decided to hold a Halloween masquerade ball.” Sara explained.
“That sounds fun!” Artemis exclaimed, but saw Sara was still sad. “Uh, you look bothered, is anything wrong?”
“Well…” Sara paused before taking a deep breath. “I’m not mad about the event, it’s just that Lewis wants this to be a masquerade ball and I’m not good at dancing.” She admitted.
Artemis gave a light chuckle, “that’s not true, everyone knows how to dance!” He exclaimed.
“Not me!” Sara exclaimed. She paused knowing it was a little lie, “W-Well I know how to dance, but like line dancing and just having fun, not ballroom dancing.”
Artemis gave a smug smile and put his hand on Sara’s shoulder. “Well look no further, because I can teach you.” He revealed.
Sara blushed and looked at Artemis in shock. As much as she would love some dance lessons, the thought of it feeling like it’s a fairytale made her blush again.
“N-No that’s fine!” Sara stuttered, turning away to hide her blush.
“You sure?” Artemis asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Y-Yeah!” Sara replied.
Artemis smirked and sighed, “alright I won’t push it.”
Sara sighed and smiled, “thanks.”
Artemis smiled, but he still wasn’t done teasing his friend yet. “So, if you're not into ballroom dancing, what about dresses?” He asked.
Sara groaned as she slammed her head on the desk. “Don’t get me started.” She muffled.
Artemis gave a chuckle, hearing dresses clearly weren’t Sara’s thing. He then looked at the photos on Sara’s desk, and saw one of a young man with blonde hair with his arm around her. “Hey, Sara.”
“What?” Sara asked, her face still covered.
“Who is this handsome man with you?” He asked.
Sara looked up and her eyes widened seeing Artemis looking at the photo of her and Norman. “Oh!” She exclaimed. “That’s Norman, he’s…an old friend.”
“An old boyfriend or just a friend?” Artemis questioned.
“Friend, but he always saw me as his girlfriend.” Sara replied.
Artemis understood, and put the photo down. He was about to ask, but Sara interrupted him.
“We didn’t date. He just had a crush on me, that's all.” Sara explained.
Artemis gave a sigh, but he had one more awkward question to ask. “So do you see me as a friend?” He asked.
Sara felt the blush coming back, as anxiety ran through her. “W-Well! I-I mean we just met so…y-yeah.” Sara stuttered.
That’s your response Sara! You're stupid! Of course you want to see him more as a friend! Sara thought to herself.
Artemis smiled, “I’m glad. I see you as a friend too.” He replied.
Sara smiled, that’s a relief. I guess. Glad I didn’t say I love him at that point, She thought to herself.
I think I played it safe by calling her friend. Artemis thought to himself.
What the two didn’t know was Masquerade was watching their conversation. He rolled his eyes before leaving the employee’s only area.
Meanwhile, Hayley was playing some arcade games at the Arcadescape after her tour. While she played, Mimic and Melody were watching the young girl as Masquerade came by checking on his siblings.
“So how are you enjoying your time here, Hayley?” Masquerade asked.
“It’s great! I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time now!” Hayley beamed.
“Masquerade, Hayley is amazing at this game! She’s about to beat Ben’s high score!” Mimic beamed.
Hayley smiled proudly. She then looked around to make sure no one was listening. “So what did my Uncle talk about with Sara?” She whispered to Masquerade.
Masquerade sighed, “Sara talked about the Halloween masquerade ball, your uncle asked if she sees him as a friend and she said yes, and your uncle replied he sees her as a friend too.” He listed.
Hayley groaned in frustration. “Not again. He’s always like this, he finds someone, says they're friends, and then the person they crushed on gets married to someone else!”
Mimic chuckled, “wow you really want your uncle to not be lonely!” He beamed.
“It’s not that. I can sense feelings a mile away, and I can sense my love meters are going strong!” Hayley beamed. She then saw the “Employee’s only door and smirked, “I just have to break the ice.” Hayley said.
The triplets smirked and decided to help Hayley with her mission. With everyone distracted the triplets went to the Employee’s Only door and ushered Hayley in. Once inside the triplets took Hayley to where Sara and Artemis are located.
“In here.” Mimic said. The triplets and Hayley looked through the door and saw Sara and Artemis talking and laughing with each other.
Hayley chuckled, “I knew it.” She said.
“You can sense it from here?” Mimic asked.
Hayley nodded, “I told you, I can sense it!” She exclaimed as she made beeping noises.
The triplets giggled, enjoying Hayley’s personality. However, their giggling stopped as they froze in fear.
Behind them, was Sara and Artemis crossing their arms seeing the kids sneaking into the employee’s only area.
Hayley stopped laughing and turned around, shocked. She then gave a sheepish smile and chuckle seeing they’ve been caught.
“H-Hi Uncle Artemis.” Hayley sheepishly said.
Artemis sighed and rolled his eyes as he carried his niece, which made her giggle. “I’m so sorry, my niece here loves to be sneaky! It happens a lot!” He explained.
Sara chuckled, “it’s fine. My co-workers bring their kids and their siblings here.” She explained, reassuring him.
Artemis smiled, but not before looking down to see Hayley giving him a smug smile. He gave a nervous chuckle, “w-well you must be hungry! C-Come on let’s get something to eat!”
“Well we got food here. I’ll treat you guys.” Sara said.
“Are you sure?” Artemis asked.
Sara nodded, “you got those books for me, it’s the least I can do.”
Artemis smiled, “alright, but just so you know I've got to pay you back for this!”
“We’ll see.” Sara replied.
As she walked off, Artemis smiled and followed his friend out of the employee’s area. The triplets blinked and looked at each other and smiled seeing that Hayley was right, Sara was in love.
In the lobby, Artemis and Hayley sat down as Sara brought over pepperoni pizza for the three of them. “Alright, here you guys go!” Sara exclaimed.
Hayley clapped, and was ready to grab some pizza. However, Artemis stopped her, “what do we say?” He asked.
Hayley sighed, “thank you Miss Sara.” She said, politely.
Artemis smiled, “good, now you can grab a slice.” He said.
Hayley smiled and took a slice of pepperoni pizza and took a bite of it. “It’s so good!” She beamed.
“Glad you like it! It’s Oliver’s secret recipe!” Sara beamed, taking a slice of pizza for herself.
Artemis took a slice and his niece was right, it was good. “I’m guessing how the food was made was your friend’s recipes?” He asked.
“Yep, food was an afterthought, and luckily Oliver knew how to cook and we got these amazing meals!” Sara answered.
Artemis chuckled and smiled lovingly at Sara. The latter blinked and smiled too as she nervously drank her soda.
Hayley looked at her uncle and his friend, and decided to drop it on her uncle, “so, are you sure you're not my Uncle’s girlfriend?” She asked, giving a smug smile.
Sara’s eyes widened as she spit out her soda, not knowing it hit her co-worker, Hayden, who was sitting down with his other co-workers. She coughed trying to apologize for what she did, while Artemis sat down there embarrassed at what his niece just said.
“H-Hayley you don’t just drop that on someone!” Artemis yelled.
Hayley chuckled before eating more of her pizza. Artemis sighed knowing Hayley wouldn’t care.
“You okay?” Artemis asked.
“I-I’m fine!” Sara coughed, “I’m fine!”
Artemis went over to Sara and rubbed her back. She looked up and smiled.
Inside the vents, Winnie watched the whole event play out and chuckled. “Perfect.” He said, his eyes glaring at Hayley.
While Lewis was showing Wiatt the Staract, the other founder of DWE, Sara, was typing away on her computer. A knock was heard at the door as she was working.
“Come in,” Sara said.
The door opened, revealing to be Oliver, another of Dreamworld’s Founders. “H-Hey Sara.” Oliver stuttered.
“Oliver!” Sara exclaimed, seeing her best friend nervous. “What’s going on? You okay?”
“Y-Yeah, just, umm…” Oliver trailed off, nervous about what to say to Sara.
Sara sighed, as much as Oliver was her best friend, she didn’t like how nervous Oliver would get when it came to sharing news with her. “Oliver, we're friends, you don’t have to be nervous sharing anything with me.” She reassured him.
“Not even if it’s about…” Oliver started, before mumbling Wiatt’s name.
“Sorry, what was that?” Sara asked.
“Even if it’s about…Wiatt.” Oliver repeated, sounding a bit louder.
“Can you say it a little louder?” Sara asked once again.
“Even if it’s about Wiatt,” Oliver repeated once more. This time louder, like Sara requested.
Sara’s smile dropped, hearing Wiatt’s name. She hadn’t heard that name in weeks and thought Lewis had forgotten all about him. However, he’s finally at Dreamworld Entertainment. “You mean the Wiatt we met in high school? The Wiatt who Lewis dated?”
“Is there any other Wiatt we know of?” Oliver asked.
Sara sighed and tried to calm down. After a few deep breaths, she asked Oliver again. “Why is Wiatt here?” She asked.
Oliver was about to speak up when Lewis came in with Wiatt. “Because I want to work here!” Wiatt replied, giving a smug smile.
Oliver and Sara turned to see their old schoolmate show up, which made Sara glare at him while Oliver gave a nervous smile.
“Hey, Oliver!” Wiatt beamed, before turning to Sara and glaring at her, “Sara.”
“Wiatt,” Sara replied, doing the same.
The two stared at one another as Oliver and Lewis felt the tension between their friends. It was so bad it couldn’t be cut with a knife. “W-What do we do?” Oliver whispered to Lewis.
“Same as we always do,” Lewis whispered back. He then clapped his hands and let out a nervous chuckle. Sara and Wiatt turned to face their friend. “Well isn’t this a nice reunion!”
Sara and Wiatt glanced at each other before glaring at Lewis. They knew he was trying to break the tension, but Lewis wasn’t gonna give up.
Lewis’s smile dropped as he groaned, “Well I tried, darling.” He said to Oliver.
Seeing her friend disappointed, Sara sighed, “I guess I have no choice.” She started. “Welcome to the Dream Team, Wiatt.”
Wiatt chuckled, “Dream Team?” He asked.
“D-Don’t laugh!” Sara shouted, feeling offended. “I think it’s a good name for our Dreamworld employees.”
“I agree with her,” Oliver spoke up.
Sara smiled proudly seeing her best friend agreed with her.
“Well then,” Lewis interrupted. “Let’s get you into uniform, darling!” He put his arms around Wiatt and took him to the employee uniform room to find a good uniform for Wiatt.
Sara decided to go first to help pick out Wiatt’s uniform and decided to go for Cheer’s uniform, which was a pink shirt decaled with a yellow and neon green lightning bolt and pink pants.
However, Wiatt didn’t look like he enjoyed the uniform one bit.
“There! You look great, Wiatt.” Sara complimented.
Wiatt glared at her, “Sara, this is more your choice of color.” He said.
Sara looked at her friends who agreed with Wiatt. She groaned, and soon Oliver spoke up, “My turn I guess.”
Oliver gave Wiatt a Ribbondancer uniform, which was green with different color patterns over it, as well as a pair of dark green pants. Wiatt preferred this uniform, but it still wasn’t something he would wear.
“I think this is better, don’t you agree?” Oliver asked.
Lewis and Sara looked at one another both agreeing that the shade of green wasn’t Wiatt’s color.
Oliver frowned knowing his friends didn’t like it. “You don’t like it, do you?” He asked.
“Well…” Sara and Lewis said at the same time, both trailing off as they tried to think of something nice to not upset their friend. The two let out words like, “It’s okay, it’s fine, or it’s green.”
Oliver wasn’t convinced knowing they were just trying to be nice. Wiatt saw how disappointed Oliver looked, and decided to speak up. “It’s nice, but I’d like to try on one more uniform before making my decision.”
Lewis knew he hadn’t helped Wiatt pick out a uniform yet, and he had an idea of what the perfect uniform and position Wiatt could have. “Leave it to me, darling, I got the perfect uniform for you.” He said, taking Wiatt’s hand and taking him deeper into the closet.
It took a few minutes, but soon Lewis came out with Wiatt wearing a Starlight-themed uniform. This uniform was a vest split into teal and yellow over a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a pair of dark blue pants, and a dark blue and orange cap over his head.
“Sara and Oliver, meet Dreamworld’s newest mechanic!” Lewis introduced as Wiatt stepped up smiling.
“Hey, looking good Wiatt!” Oliver exclaimed.
“Thanks! This seems perfect for me!” Wiatt replied.
“See, I know what you like darling,” Lewis said.
Wiatt and Lewis shared a laugh, which made Sara glare at the two. Oliver saw his friend’s glare and got up and went to his best friend and his best friend’s boyfriend. “Well,” Oliver spoke up, “shouldn’t we introduce Wiatt to the rest of the group?”
“Oh! Of course!” Lewis exclaimed. “Wiatt, let me introduce you to everyone.”
“Thanks, Lewis,” Wiatt replied. The two walked out of the dressing room, talking with one another.
“It’s nice to see these two together again,” Oliver said.
Sara quickly changed her expression and gave a false smile, “Y-yeah. It’s nice.” She lied.
Oliver smiled and followed Lewis and Wiatt out of the dressing room.
Once he was gone, Sara frowned and turned away. She didn’t like Wiatt being here one bit, it brought back the painful memories and anxiety over losing Lewis. She almost lost him once due to her stupid ideas, and now his boyfriend is back in town.
“Don’t worry Sara, I’m here.” A deep voice whispered as red eyes appeared behind her.
Soon, Lewis and Oliver watched as Wiatt talked with the other Dreamworld workers. Everyone seemed to get along with Wiatt well.
Starlight was passing by and saw Wiatt with the other workers. “I see Wiatt is getting along great with everyone.”
“He is,” Lewis replied.
Starlight saw Lewis frown and turn away from Wiatt before walking off. “I thought he would be happy seeing his boyfriend back.” He pointed out.
“Ex-boyfriend.” Oliver corrected.
Starlight’s eyes widened, “pardon?” He asked.
“Wiatt and Lewis broke up two years ago. Sure they kept in contact, but the two haven’t been in a relationship in two years.” Oliver explained.
Starlight frowned and looked at Wiatt before turning to Lewis who was now entering the employee-only entrance.
~~~~~~~~~~
Not to drop spoilers, but that whole scene with Oliver picking out Wiatt’s uniform and choosing green was written before episode 1 dropped!
Also, have a Happy Holidays and New Year's everyone!!!

Nothing Bad Happens Chap. 1-Alright
Hi everyone! Here is a new WTDW Fanfic!!!!
So, for being in fandoms for a LONG time I’ve seen my fair share of “Nothing Bad Happens” AU’s. I figured Welcome to Dreamworld should deserve that treatment. However, I never came up with a good name for the AU, so we’re calling it Nothing Bad Happens for now.
I’ve had this AU since WTDW episode 5 or 6 so it’s been in my head for a while, but I recently started writing it because I had a bunch of other stories being worked on plus life stuff.
Big thanks as always to my beta readers, @gigilefache and @mun-auroralore!
Enjoy!
The Dreamworld Entertainment Facility, an entertainment center where kids don’t have to feel alone.
This is the facility where a young man named Wiatt Nicholson stood. He heard about this place for a while now; his boyfriend, Lewis Bright was one of the founders of this facility. The two made a promise when Lewis left to build it with his two best friends.
If you stop calling me, you know I’m coming back to find you.
Wiatt hadn’t heard from Lewis in over a week, and now was more than ever ready to run to the facility and check to see if his boyfriend was alive and well.
However, he was scared. Scared that when he opened the door he would be welcomed by everyone saying Lewis is gone.
“I can’t do this,” Wiatt said to himself.
He was about to walk away from the facility and drive back home-but stopped, realizing that he had driven a couple of hours from his grandfather’s mansion. Plus, he kept his promise of coming to find Lewis and he was gonna do just that.
Wiatt sighed and pushed open the door, hearing the sound of arcade games and kids laughing and having fun. Slowly stepping in, he looked around-and froze, seeing a familiar sight in front of him.
It was Lewis.
Lewis was talking with some workers and sharing a laugh. He had slicked-back, light brown hair with a few fringes hanging over his face, green eyes, and oval glasses. He wore a light blue vest over a white dress shirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes.
Wiatt smiled, seeing Lewis was safe and happy. However, he soon frowned, not understanding why Lewis hadn’t called him in a week.
Taking a deep breath, he entered and walked up behind Lewis.
“Uh, hi I’m looking for a Lewis Bright,” Wiatt spoke up.
Lewis froze, recognizing the voice. He slowly turned around, eyes widened after seeing Wiatt.
After a few years of not seeing each other in person, he was here.
“W-Wiatt?” Lewis asked, surprised.
Wiatt nodded. “Told ya, I’d come find you if you stopped texting.”
The workers stepped back and decided to give the founder some alone time with his boyfriend.
The two stood there awkwardly not sure what to say to each other.
“So…” Lewis started.
“So…” Wiatt repeated.
“You're probably wondering why I haven’t texted you for a while,” Lewis said.
Wiatt nodded. He took a look at Lewis and saw he was fine, no wounds, just tired. “Did Sara stop you from talking to me?” he asked.
“No, darling!” Lewis yelled, reassuring his boyfriend. He sighed and looked around to make sure no one could hear, “If I tell you, you promise you won’t tell?”
“Lewis, what’s going on?” Wiatt asked again, now worried.
Lewis took Wiatt’s hand and dragged him to the elevator. Wiatt stuttered and complained to Lewis about dragging him, and not telling him the reason why Lewis stopped answering his texts. Once inside, Lewis pressed the button to the Staract.
As the elevator went down, Wiatt was able to talk.
“Lewis, what the fuck is going on?! You're not telling me anything!” he shouted.
Lewis sighed. “It’s best I show you, darling,” he replied.
The bell on the elevator rang, and the doors opened.
“Follow me,” Lewis said.
Wiatt sighed and followed him to a theater.
Once there, Lewis turned on the spotlights for the stage, and soon, a star animatronic came down.
“L-Lewis, what is this?!” Wiatt asked, frightened.
Soon, the star animatronic opened his eyes and smiled at Wiatt. “Why, hello, darling. I’m Starlight.”
Wiatt’s mouth dropped, and his glasses fell on the bridge of his nose. He stammered out words to Lewis- who stood there chuckling nervously.
“W-What’s so funny about this, Lewis?!” Wiatt yelled. “Why does this animatronic talk like you?! A-Am I talking to an imposter?”
“Wiatt! Wiatt, calm down!” Lewis reassured his boyfriend.
Wiatt was breathing heavily, trying to calm down. After taking one slow, deep breath, he was officially calm.
“Is he okay, Lewis?” Starlight asked.
“He’ll be fine,” Lewis replied. He cleared his throat and put his arm around Wiatt. “This Starlight. Starlight, this is Wiatt Nicholas, my boyfriend.”
Starlight moved closer.
Wiatt saw Starlight move via a support beam on his back as the animatronic stopped just a few inches near him.
Starlight smiled and held his hand out. “Pleasure to meet you, Wiatt.”
Wiatt looked at Starlight’s hand and back at the animatronic. before shaking his hand.
“Lewis, are you gonna tell me what’s going on, now?” Wiatt asked.
Lewis nodded. “Well for starters, Sara did have something to do with this,” he started.
Wiatt groaned. He knew Sara had given him a weird vibe since he first met her. “What did she do?” he asked.
“This might sound crazy, but during the early days of building Dreamworld Entertainment. Sara acted… weird,” Lewis started.
“Like always,” Wiatt grumbled.
“Huh?” Lewis asked.
“Nothing!” Wiatt lied.
Lewis rolled his eyes. “Anyways, Sara was trying to create immortality-”
“Create what now?!” Wiatt shouted.
“Let me finish, Wiatt,” Lewis groaned, “but yes, I thought what she was thinking was crazy too, until…”
His voice trailed off, not wanting to tell Wiatt what Sara did to him. “... she found a way to take a part of my soul and put it into Starlight.”
Wiatt put his hands together and took a deep breath, before letting it out. “May I ask how she did that?” she asked.
Lewis and Starlight looked at each other, and both chuckled at the same time.
“It’s complicated, darling,” Starlight answered.
Wiatt opened his mouth, but he stopped and decided not to ask. Seeing Lewis okay was enough to know what Sara did didn’t kill him.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wiatt said. He walked up to Lewis and hugged him. “I’m just glad you're alright, Lewis.”
Lewis blushed and smiled, hugging Wiatt back. “Y-Yeah.”
Starlight sniffled as his scarlet mask went on. “Aww, you two are so cute together!” he cried. He then grabbed the two and hugged them tight.
Wiatt and Lewis giggled, still blushing.
“Yep! He’s definitely you, Lewis!” Wiatt commented.
Lewis chuckled. “Me, but more of a theater kid!”
The three shared a laugh- before Wiatt got an idea.
“I’ve been thinking, are you hiring right now?” He asked.
“Of course, we’re always hiring,” Lewis replied. Soon his eyes widened, knowing Wiatt was planning something. “Why?”
“Because I wanna work here,” Wiatt answered.
