i love loser inho!!
Inho trying to flirt with Gihun over text and wanting to say "I'll get you anything your heart desires" but he keeps deleting and rewriting the message out of nerves because it sounds a little cheesy
"I will obtain anything and everything you want" is kind of stilted
"I would cut out my heart and serve it on a golden platter to you if you asked" is romantic but a bit too gory for Gihun and Gihun might even take the chance to answer with "if you're willing to go that far, just leave me alone" and what is Inho supposed to do with that
and he's so frustrated with himself because WHY is he as a 40-something adult man who runs bloody secret death games having trouble flirting??
He at one point types in all caps "I'M GONNA GET YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT, YOU ALREADY OWN MY HEART AND SOUL" to release some of his frustration
and then accidentally hits Send too early
the text just says "IM GONNA GET YOU"
which he realizes is more than vaguely threatening
he just never looks at his phone ever again.
(His Frank Sinatra ringtone starts playing from his pocket 5 minutes later and he just doesn't look at the answering text because he is BUSY being a stoic front man and no other reason)

I'm afraid that they might ruin Gihun's character in the third season, but I don't think it will happen because Gihun has hit his rock bottom :(

omg I'm gonna cry SEONG GIHUN I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH
My mother asked me about the reasoning for the games, and while I think the games had absolute torturous reasonings, along with the changes in the rules, I NEED TO TALK ABOUT SEONG GIHUN.
The first game is always rlgl, at least it was for both seasons so thats the most canon fact. No teams, no partners, everyone is on their own. This is picking off the herd one by one. As Gihun proved in season 2, you can herd everyone to safety for the most part, as long as you can get them to cooperate. Doesnt mean its always fool proof though, so the weakest of the herd get picked off. When you herd sheep that haven’t been herded before, they are bound to go astray. Gihun knows that, however, he’s not a sheep dog. He is a human trying to survive, and putting the change he wanted to see in the world.
The player count comes down to 365, thats even groups of 5. Penta. How did we get to even groups of 5? Psychological torture reasons, as a friend of mine said. Some people in rlgl were probably supposed to die but just didnt, because Inho set it up to be like that. Penta has teams of 5, how did they not have anyone left out or anyone short? This wasnt what Gihun had to fuck with the first time. And thats what i told my Mom too, he’s fucking mad that the rules have been changed and that the entire games have been too. However, Gihun remained calm and complacent to the game’s rules. Confided trust in four other people. Let in a pregnant woman into his team, with the potential disadvantage of her becoming a hinderance. He was allowing them all into his space without a shadow of hesitation, because he was becoming the change he wanted to see in the world.
Then mingle. Designed to shave off, what was it, a portion of 255 people? Gihun had to choose which people were more important. Which ones needed a room more than others. Inho is trying to see what Gihun is going to do in situations where he has to make decisions like that and see if he truly sticks to his word, that humanity is kind and forgiving, or if its as he foretold it, weak and miserable. Gihun doesnt see anyone as more important or less important, but he does know he only has the power to change the things he can and he unfortunately has to leave the things he can’t. The chaos of the ocean of people crowded in the arena, it is just too much to decipher a decision in 30 seconds or less. Gihun doesnt make decisions to save people based on who is stronger or better, faster or smarter, he makes decisions to save people based on who needs it. The pregnant woman, the old lady with a son, the young kids just wanting to make money and not realizing the shit they’ve found themselves in that they can’t get out of. He’s showing them mercy, making the change he wants to see in the world.
Gihun always implored the ones around him to help the others around them. Not him, not his mission, others.
HE WAS TRYING TO BE THE CHANGE HE WANTED TO SEE IN THE WORLD.
