Carol was glad to have her friend back. It made events like this more exciting, plus there was just something about having more female friends who were super.Β βNot all of us get to be princess of a super cool island. The rest of us just have to fight over whatβs left.β She teased. Carol might have been space royalty on some planet she saved, but that was irrelevant.Β βYou know, if you had wanted to take me on a date, you could have just asked. Ice cream sounds good though, it is pretty hot out.βΒ
Diana offers a smile and playful roll of her eyes at Carolβs words.Β βPlease, Ms. Danvers, if this were a date I can assure you it would not take place at a street festival. As lovely as this all is, it isnβt up to par with a woman as lovely as yourself.β Her words end with a cock of her brow before Diana is leading the blonde forward and toward one of the many vendored stands that were selling ice cream. After ordering herself a classic vanilla soft serve cone, she gestures toward Carol.Β βAnd anything she wants.βΒ

@gildedamazon
Carol may have been pulling on Dianaβs arm a little too hard, but it was completely valid. If you couldnβt drag your friend to a booth to see a sweet t-shirt with her on it, what was the point?Β βYou know, no one ever puts my logo on a t-shirt. Granted I havenβt been the most active of heroes, but I think it would look great. Sure, you have a sword and all, and that looks the best on a shirt, but my hands glow and thatβs pretty neat.β Carol had already bought one of everything from the seller, wanting to both support the artist and her friend. She was so going to wear the shirt every time she saw diana from here out.
Diana canβt help the smile that forms to her feature as her friend is tugging her through the crowded streets, going on about some merchandise with Dianaβs face on it. It isnβt something sheβs used to seeing, though sheβs aware things like this exist. She owns her fair share of Batman and Superman merch, thatβs for sure.Β βI think itβs very neat. Perhaps theyβll draw up some designs to represent you, Captain Sparklefists.β The Amazon sports an ear-to-ear smile at the blonde.Β βAnd when they do, Iβll make sure to buy one. But until then - let me buy you something to eat. What looks good?βΒ

Balm
Balm - How easily does your muse socialize with others? How good are they at their social interactions?
Dianaβs actually really great at socializing. She finds learning about and meeting new people from all walks of life very edifying. I feel like Diana is the hit at any gathering because sheβs been around for soooo long, she can recall so much and share her firsthand experiences about things others may be curious about. My girl is 5,000 whole ass years old. Sheβs got some stories to tell.Β

Wanda was going to bend down and try to help with the papers, but she would have felt even worse if she managed to ruin them.Β βNo no, you looked like you had a good hold on them before I tripped.β It was New York, Wanda should have been paying far better attention. She could have ran right into someone who was going to know who she was, and arrest her.Β βIβm fine, are you? I really hope the coffee didnβt burn you.β Taking a quick peek at the documents, she saw the dates on them, clearly this woman was looking into the incident. She seemed like she was an intelligent lady, maybe someone who could even solve this issue.Β βInterested in the incident? Trying to find a cure, or do you think itβs a cure?β She probably shouldnβt have brought it up, but from everything the news was saying it seemed like everyone was against finding a cure.
She offers the other a slight shake of her head at her question before standing to her feet.Β βNo worries, I assure you. Iβm sure it happens daily in this city.β Diana had always liked Gotham - there was something about its darkness that drew the Amazon there even for reasons other than work. But New York was like several Gothams in one, all at a much faster pace and if sheβs honest, itβs a bit overwhelming. Her nose scrunches slightly when the other mentions the incident, hopefully not drawing any unwanted attention to herself for the newspapers sheβd piled in her arms.Β βInterested is one way to put it.β She says lightheartedly, brushing off the severity of the situation with a slight shrug.Β βLooking for answers, really.β And she learned that from Bruce. Heβd always been the one to learn a situation from all sides, using the information to better decide how to deal with it. And though Diana is much more likely to jump head first into a situation, sheβs come to learn that they could benefit from a little bit of research.Β βYou wouldnβt, by chance, know anything these papers arenβt telling me? Itβs almost as though theyβre holding back... like thereβs more to the story than what is in print.β She already finds her own inquiry ridiculous, a shake of her head to follow.Β βI know the answer is probably no, but at this point, Iβm desperate.βΒ

Rooftops were more Batmanβs thing, but she could see the appeal. It was quiet, the view was nice and she could sit up here for hours without anyone bothering her. Her dark black suit sparkled slightly against the street lights below, emulating the stars in the sky above her. She was stretched out on the edge, her legs folded over themselves while she gazed out at all the people down below. It was strange that the ebb and flow of every day life still continued in the face of such chaos looming over their heads. Granted, she had tried to go to work and save the day as if nothing was different, but she feltΒ it. The shift in the air, the pressure from the sky. It was a stranger, hollow feeling that she couldnβt put her finger on. She sighed and pulled herself to a standing position, walking along the edge of the rooftop with her arms spread wide. She walked along it, teetering back and forth as if she were walking a tight rope. As if she could fall at any moment. She heard them before she saw them in her peripheral, but made no move to stop her small stroll.Β "Is every rooftop spoken for or something?β She said out loud, twirling on the ball of her foot to start walking the other way.Β βItβd make sense, all things considered. Iβm not really theΒ βloom on the edge of scaffolds and dark cornersβ kind of girl.β
Diana had this inexplicable intuition when it came to Donna and Cassie. It was as though theyβd been carved out from the same material, giving them a closeness that linked in more ways than one. She felt the difference in the air, too. She was hyper aware of the change, and despite her best efforts not to show her worry, Diana isnβt too sure how much longer she could keep up the facade. Arms lift to cross over her chest, a light bit of laughter leaving her at the otherβs words.Β βDidnβt they teach you that back at Titanβs Tower? Bruce gets it Monday through Wednesday, Iβm Thursday and Friday, and itβs Clarkβs every weekend. I could have a schedule printed if you wish to see one.β Thereβs a teasing tone to Dianaβs voice, being around Donna already making the tension in her shoulders relax the slightest bit.Β βYou may be draped in darkness, but you are anything but.β A warm smile graces the Amazonβs features as she takes a few steady steps forward.Β βWhat brings you here?βΒ

Wanda kept her head low, trying to blend in with the natives. This wasnβt her first time in New York, but it was her first time as a wanted criminal. She was lucky in the fact she was not as prominent as the other Avengers, or it was highly likely she would have been caught. She didnβt know who to try and find, more just hoping the others would show up publicly and lead her back. She had no clue what would happen if she tried to go to the compound, didnβt know the animosity level between her and Tony. She could have gone out to Clintβs farm, but she didnβt want to risk it. For now, she was just trying to navigate through the streets, getting back to the apartment she had managed to find. She was so busy trying to stay hidden she didnβt realize she completely ran into another personΒ βIβm so sorry, let me clean that up for you.β She covered her voice with an American accent, and kept her head down as she tried to wipe the coffee off their shirt.
Diana couldnβt even begin to count the hours sheβs already spent searching through every printed press coverage on the event that occurred February first. This research brought her into the city often, dated papers tucked under her arm as she tries her best to juggle a cup of coffee - sheβll be needing it. As the other frame collides with her own, a hand lifts to secure that the other doesnβt lose balance considering Dianaβs strength. Immediately, she begins to shake her head.Β βNo, no, itβs alright. I shouldβve been watching where I was going... and perhaps not juggling a million and one different things.β She tosses the now empty coffee into a nearby trash can, thankful that sheβd gone with a head-to-toe black outfit, otherwise the stain wouldβve been an unwanted addition to her wardrobe.Β βAre you alright?β The Amazon asks this from the ground as sheβs attempting to pile together all the newspapers sheβd dropped.Β
