I've never watched Evo smp b4 so don't know much about the story there, but it was a great read. I found this fic at just the right time lol, i was going through art block and this gave me so much inspo I literally finished this drawing in 2 days. [Side note, I haven't finish the fic yet lol]

somehow ive ended up at newsies fanfic in 2024 and im not quite sure how but. so far you're the only active author ive found! I really enjoyed you're domestic javey au :)

Thanks for swinging by! I feel like the newsies fandom has its ebbs and flows but we never quite die lol.

The domestic au is one of my all-time favorite things I’ve written, so I’m glad you enjoyed it too!

Giving Thanks

Now, I've seen my friends and their posts and replying. I wanted to make my own because I know that this one is going to be pretty long. At least, I have an idea that it's going to be pretty long. I won't be able to tag everyone, seeing as I don't know everyone's tumblrs and such like that. There's also going to be some not tags because I'd be too scared to actually tag these people.

I'm so very very thankful for everyone who's come into my life in the last year. I'm thankful to those who've been in my life for several years. My bestest sibs who won't likely see this for the many years that I've been with them, since first grade, middle school, beginning of high school and everyone in between. Those who I call family (not blood related), because you, and everyone I'm about to mention, have helped me in so many ways. As well as just because I'm so happy to have met you. Even if this is just for a season, long or short, I'm so glad to have made the friends and family that I've come across. Who've just been chill, or been there for us.

Thank you @imaginethat0327 for being an inspiration and being the person who helped me step out of my scared and anxious lil bubble I'd created around myself. You're such a lovely person, and I really look forward to our talks, no matter how long apart they are from the last one. Also big thanks to Livie because they've also been such a joy to have met and chat with. Always look forward to our chats <3 Through them I've also met @nyxcentury who's just as lovely. Though we've not talked too much, always love seeing you around. Same goes with Tipthewaitress (dunno their tumblr, so I hope that they see this), and the other lovelies of the Rescue Fire discord server.

Hermitcraft Fic Recs

Ok, I’m still trying to figure out how to Tumblr, but here’s my attempt for today: I’ve compiled a short list of some of my favorite Ao3 Hermit fics. Some of these are fairly well known, while some are not, however they’re all linked together by the fact that I think they’re awesome. Generally speaking they range from ~2000 words to I believe around ~16000 for the longest one, and I think they’re also all platonic hurt/comfort and/or worldbuilding fics, so if that interests you then you’re exactly the type of person I made this list for. Also I forgot to put trigger warnings with the fic descriptions, so if there’s anything you need to watch out for please check the tags/descriptions of the fics themselves.

“Anthophobia” by residentevilxisuma. This is an Evil X centered hanahaki fic. I have to admit, over the past couple of years I haven’t particularly enjoyed hanahaki very much. Sure, there’s a lot of well-written stuff about it, but it’s never personally resonated with me. At least, not until I read “Anthophobia” and had the entire trope reframed in my mind. This is one of the more popular fics on this list, however I’m putting it in here anyways because of how absolutely well-executed I find it.

“De Roeping // The Calling” by @astronautbeans. Out of all the fics I hold in high regard, this one makes the list for the top 10 most underrated works. It’s got an apocalyptic setting with a Hypno POV. Even if you’re a person who doesn’t watch/read/write Hypno, I still recommend this. I’ve pretty much never interacted with any content about him before, however I still very much enjoyed this work.

“genesis in exception” by indecisivebastard. This one is another fic that I find criminally underrated. It’s Mumbo-centric, and centers around him being inhuman while exploring what exactly he is. There’s a lot of cool worldbuilding surrounding that, and the way the author writes that worldbuilding into the text is inspiring and leaves me in awe of the author’s talent. 

“good! some fight!” By @sourorchard. This is a Welsknight-centric fic that I highly recommend to anyone who likes A) Welsknight and Helsknight fics and B) emotional hurt/comfort. I’m not going to say much about it considering it’s fairly short and I don’t want to spoil anything, however I very much recommend it.

“Homesick” by @writingwithaglassquill. This fic particularly is a really good characterisation of Evil Xisuma (who is also the MC and POV of this fic), and the character arc that he goes through is seamlessly written; it doesn’t feel rushed at any point, nor does it feel unrealistic. There’s also a plot twist that’s a lot of fun to think about once it’s revealed.
