The past two years I have grouped people based on what type of gifts they make and then I pair people within groups randomly.

i’ve started sending them out but haven’t finished, I got more entries than last year so it’s taking me a little while longer, I will put up a post letting everyone know i’ve finished so that they can make sure they got it :)

how are the pairings decided? i'm worried because of the ship divide in the fandom. do you match compatible people or is it random?

Well i’m mostly pairing by gift type. I’m hoping everyone in the fandom has at least one thing in common, if not ships it could be favourite characters? I don’t think we had any issues last year with this (nobody said anything to me) so fingers crossed we can all get along :)
