( Extrajudicial Killing)

In the city of Manila is covered by a variety of illegal activities such as theft, gambling, drug trafficking, and more. There is a village which is called barrio Ilang-ilang, in this village live various classes of people. In this village there were also various groups with various illegal activities led by the group called the Dugas gang. This group is led by Macario Rayala alias Mario and his associates Ronnie, Melchor, and Ronald. They are orphaned friends and from childhood they have been wandering the streets.

Because of their dark lifestyle they learned to do bad things in order to survive. As they get older they still carry on the bad habits, they resort to illegal drugs. As time goes by, there has been an issue in Manila called Extra Judicial Killings or EJK it is a crime in which people suspected of wrongdoing are carelessly killed without knowing what is the cause or fault of them. Cause it to worry and to have a fear of friends, but they continued their illegal activities.

One day Mario went to the market to buy rice and the dish, and after he passed by a barber shop and he saw a newspapers on the side and he read aloud and friends quarreled next to him, and went to his friends. Mario saw his friends and he said Hey friends Ronnie replied "oh what are you coming from? Mario said hmm... in the market Ronnie replied ahhmm.. so is then Mario said I have read in the newspaper Ronald answered what is it? Mario replied I read that the killing is getting worse Melchor answered I feel that issue will soon come to our village Ronald replied yes I feel like it's time to stop pushing drugs Ronnie answered right because we don't know if we're going to kill next then Mario answered you have a point but where can we find our livelihood? Ronald replied yes, we will not stop but we will be careful of our actions Mario answered that's correct, okay good bye I'm going home..

When Mario came home he wondered if it would be right to continue their illegal activities or stop it and just look for a decent job but he always through of the word " no one will accept him because he is uneducated". Mario and his friends continue to push drugs, they are scared but they still carry on their work, even if they do not want to do what they do, they will continue to do so because they are uneducated and have no job. They knew nothing else to help them with their lives but only to push illegal drugs.

Their customers are freighters, jeepney drivers and much more, even young people are thier costumers. They were able to forget their dignity just to be alive they knew it was wrong but they thought they had to do it for their own sake. One day they went to their patrons to supply drugs but others refused because they were afraid to be among the victims of Extra Judicial Killings so some of thier sales declined. The next morning ronald rushed to Mario's house to tell the bad news. "Ronald knocking on the door" Mario said who is that? Ronald answers ronald is here open the door!! then Mario replied just wait a moment I get dressed Ronald answers hurry up Mario! then "Mario opened the door" Ronald said Mario!, Ronnnie is dead! Mario was shocked and he answered what!? Ronald replied He was found earlier in a vacant lot with a shotgun and the paper with letter written on it "I'm a drug pusher, don't imitate me" so Mario was getting unhappy then he said let's go to him! with a weak voice.

They went to ronnie's house and as they came closer to her house their eyes gradually began to shed tears of sadness over their friend's death. One day after their friend was buried, Mario who was known as their leader, decided to surrender to the police to ensure the safety of each of them, they were sentenced to a four years' imprisonment.They lacked and suffered great hardships in the jail, they were tortured and beaten by their fellow prisoners, but despite of all of this they survived.

Four years later, Mario and their friends were released and they were able to recover that life. Mario had a girlfriend named Rosa and they eventually got married, Melchor joined his provincial acquaintance to work there, and Ronald bought his own tricycle to use it on his business. Mario and his wife Rosa set up their own small business. despite all this, friendships have come with a sense of purpose and dignity that has led them to change lives.

The days passed, Mario and Rosa went to church to ask for forgiveness for their sins and then went to the tomb of his friend Ronnie. After two years, Mario and his friends had a happy and harmonious life, but Mario unexpectedly had a serious problem his wife Rosa was suffering stage 2 breast cancer, their business gradually falling and Rosa's illness was getting worse so it had to be operated as soon as possible, it needed a huge amount of money so Mario was forced to sell everything he bought and still ask for help from his friends but not yet he had enough money to pay for his wife's medical expenses.

Mario is forced to return to bad behavior and is ready to do bad just for his wife, he pushes drugs again and gradually gains money, Mario continues pushing drugs even though he knows it is dangerous because there's a possibility that he will be like to his friend, but it was all taken care of by Mario, and he continued to push drugs until her husband was healed. But one night he went out to buy at the store, and Mario was shoots by unidentified armed men until he died. Mario and Ronnie died of their own sin but that will be never enough reason to die in an unjust way.
