Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.

So my sister wants to start sewing more, because

a. She’s 5′ 11″ and can never find pants long enough for her legs or shirts long enough for her arms.

b. She hates synthetic fibers as much as I do and it’s difficult to find natural fiber clothes that aren’t made of cotton

c. She’s a biologist and would physically fistfight microplastics if given half a chance

So her gift from mom and dad for her birthday was a sewing machine. Not a super expensive one but a good solid serviceable one.

And recently she asked “So where do I GET wool or linen and thread that isn’t polyester” and mom was like ‘go ask your sister’

And I, of course, crashed into the group text like “GET A PEN I HAVE WEBSITES FOR U” and honestly I’m thrilled about this

Student's Students AU Part 13

Ino's big time to shine and Sai's moment of truth!

Ino is finally considered a powerful enough Yamanaka to be sent to retrieve information from the Akatsuki spy. The spy's identity is, of course, a secret, but they know he must be dangerous. Not only that, but this is the first time in many years he has offered any contact.

Ino is ready for the job, however she is not ready to the realization that she in fact knows the identity of the special agent.

Ino finds the information Itachi had, about the Akatsuki's plans and future moves, what Obito/Madara knows of Konoha's interferences and how they have added a target to Jiraiya's back for suspecting his involvement in it. And takes it back to Ibiki and the Hokage.

After that she would like nothing more than to go straight to Sasuke to tell him about his brother's current position, but 1. She can't because that's supposed to be confidential and 2. She realizes she doesn't have all the facts. So she makes another stop to confront someone about this new development.

For a while, Sai had been consistently approaching Ino and hinting about the secrets he cannot fully disclose - such as, the real reason he'd been put in team 7, who ordered he be placed there, what branch he really works for, what his boss' true intentions were, the connections he has and sacrifices he's willing to make and most important, the sacrifices he has already made.

She had not taken him seriously for most of those times, until he finally suggested she take a look for herself, by using her clan's techniques, which surprised Ino - he shouldn't know that, so she does her own investigation. She had been hitting only dead ends up until she'd been sent to meet up with Itachi.

And so she takes him up on that offer. She finds out about the Root, learns about Danzo's connection to the Uchiha massacre, and confirms Sai's suspicions about Itachi's innocence. She also realizes that Sasuke and Naruto (and through him, Nagato and his movement) could all be in danger if Danzo decided to turn his attention to them.

Students' Students AU Part 12

After failing to capture Gaara the first time, the Akatsuki continues to go after the other tailed beasts. Yugito is the next target, but she had been warned and managed to escape - instead of trying to fight Kakuzu and Hidan, she had been instructed to seek refuge in Konoha.

From her short fight against the immortal duo she has enough information to help plan a counter attack and an ambush. Nagato also offers what he knows about the members to help.

They use Shikamaru's revenge plan to fight Kakuzu and Hidan, but this time they're prepared right from the first encounter and Asuma survives! The teams this time are -> Naruto, Kakashi Kiba and Akamaru vs Kakuzu & Hinata, Shikamaru and Asuma vs Hidan with Yugito, Izumo and Kotetsu as bait/support.

Meanwhile, Anko and Sasuke have gathered new information about Orochimaru's whereabouts, this time they are sure they can find him.

A big unit is put together and sent to the location. As Tsunade had predicted, his health is at its worst condition, he's bound to take a new body soon, and with that vulnerability, he has brought his best subjects to be near him.

Team Gai + Shino VS the Sound 4 & Kabuto

And finally, after taking down his defenses, Anko and Sasuke find Orochimaru.

And they do!

Hidan doesn’t like Sasori, he thinks he’s creeoy af… So he stays away from him hahhaa But it’s Hidan, he can’t resist teasing him a bit Deidara is just outright cruel, telling the public he’s a sadist… Like Deidara would know that (Deidara is busybody, knows everything) ;)

Band of Killers: Fire

Deidara always managed to set something on fire by “accident”, so he was banned from touching anything explosive. He still managed to get his hands on some “ingredients” once- his best explosion yet. So they gave up and made him drummer XD I actually have a whole story about Sasori as well, but haven’t drawn it out yet… Will get to it eventually.
