Reads your blog names expects it to be gay shit posts(my blog) my face when it actually is about girl scouts.
I have other blogs for gay shitposts, being a girl scout just happens to be about 75% of my personality

Hi! What do you mean by a "cluncil"? How do I find a local one?
I always wanted to be a Girl Scout growing up but I was super super shy and couldn't get up the courage to join. As an adult, can I volunteer to work with my local Girl Scouts in any way even if I myself don't (yet) have kids?
Here is a handy dandy little infographic that I borrowed from google that I feel like is a good visual

Within GSUSA are councils. Councils are in charge of things such as the camps within their area and trainings. Within councils are service units. Service units are comprised of volunteers and they are in charge of things like planning events for the girls within their area and helping individual troops.
Having kids is not a requirement for any position within Girl Scouts as far as I am aware. Most positions require you to be at least 18, some require you to be at least 21.
I know a lot more about camp specifically than all of girl scouting because while I was (and still am!) a girl scout I’ve only worked within camp and all my volunteering with council is organized through people I’ve met at camp or at events. However, @camp-counselor-life is a lovely human who knows a lot and suggests the following:

Here is a link to a website where you can plug in your zip code and it tells you your local council and gives you the contact info for them.
If you have any further questions I am more than happy to try to answer them!

I need y’all to settle something for me: how much do the girls get per box they sell?
When I was a kid and was selling cookies they were $4 per box and I was told we got 60 cents of that as profit. Some lady today told my coworker that the kids get a profit of $2 per box and that can’t possibly be right, can it?

Where to get your Girl Scout Cookies:
Just a reminder that if you are someone who wants to eat Girl Scout Cookies, and you don't have local Girl Scouts to buy them from, and you are realising you can just go online and get them from the Internet, Troop 6000 is...
"...a first-of-its-kind program designed to serve families living in temporary housing in the New York City shelter system.
"Each week, Girl Scouts meet in shelters across the city to take part in activities that help them make new friends, earn badges, and learn to see themselves as leaders. All fees, uniforms, trips, and program materials are provided at no cost.
"As a permanent fixture of the program, we also established the Troop 6000 Transition Initiative, which supports Girl Scouts and their families as they transition to permanent housing. The average stay for a family in a city shelter is 18 months. Remaining connected to the community and opportunities introduced to them through Troop 6000 can help facilitate a successful transition for girls and young people, and it is essential they continue to receive the financial support that allows them to do so."

This might be controversial, and I absolutely do not want to present this as, you must be queer to work at camp, because there are plenty of great cishet camp staff, but also,
