Rome Italy 🇮🇹 Rome was amazing! I feel in love with Italy! I’m a sucker for medieval 🏰 architecture and great wine. The B&B I stayed at was great except the owner started flirting with me. The Good: - The Museums. There were PLENTY to chose from and every 1st Sunday of the month, all museums have free entry. -The food and wine. It’s Italy so you know the food is going to be amazing. A restaurant called Lo Zodiaco gives you the almost amazing view of Rome. It’s at the top of a hill. -Transportation. It’s very easy to get around and very cheaply. The Bad: -This may not be a con for some but Rome is a walking city. If you can not walk for a long period of time then Rome isn’t the city for you.

Cartagena, Colombia 🇨🇴

This was my second time visiting Cartagena and this time was better than the first (who you travel with truly does make or break the trip). This time was filled with visiting the amazing Playa Blanco (about an hour and a half from Cartagena) with great food from Ocean Blue, took a tour of old town with Free Tour Cartagena (https://freetourcartagena.com/en/home/ ) and enjoyed an amazing night out at Delirum.

The Good:

- The architecture of Cartagena is absolutely beautiful. I love the older buildings with the bright colors and traditional charm.  

- The food! The food here is amazing. From the fresh seafood to the the amazing mixed drinks, everything is amazing.

- The beaches outside of Bocagrande. If you drive out far enough, you reach the most amazing beaches, whether Playa Blaco. TierraBomba,  Islas del Rosario , etc, the beaches are BEAUTIFUL!.

-The nightlife. The nightlife in Old Town Cartagene is always LIT on the weekends. Enjoy everything from salsa music to techno to hip hop. You will be able to find a venue where you can enjoy your night.

The Bad

- Our hotel  Estelar Cartagena on Bocagrande was HORRIBLE. From the staff not even acknowledging us to the racism when the doorman had to check if we were guests at the hotel to not caring about our complaints until they found out I have a ton of social media followers.

-The vendors. The vendors in Cartagena are more aggressive than vendors any other place that I’ve been. They will not take no for an answer at all. If you are black then they will specifically come directly to you, ignoring all other races, to haggle and bother you.

-The catcalling. Walking in Cartagena, you will receive cat calls from 40 different men within a 100 ft. radius. It’s ridiculous.

-Colorism. I large part of the Cartagena population is black but most of the black and brown people live in horrible conditions.

All in all, would I return back to Cartagena for a third time, maybe. Would I stay at the hotel that I stayed at, absolutely NOT.
