Ja'far frowned. "How long have you been here, child?" he asked. The things sher said made him suspicious... was this child being abused? Perhaps he should steal her away and give her a better life. It wouldn't be the WORST thing he'd ever done...

Nomi wasn’t sure what this man was doing at a junkyyard, but he looked rich, and he seemed nice enough, and for that reason she decided that she would come say hi to him. Holding up the hem of her newspaper dress she stumbled over to him, tugging at the hem of his robes timidly. “Um…h..hello sir…what brings you to this place?”

Ja'far swallowed thickly. "No, Aladdin... Yamuraiha broke some... some saddening news to me a while ago," he said.

“Aladdin… I’m not going to be around forever. In fact… my time with you might be cut off a little sooner than expected,” Ja'far said, his face beginning to grow red with shame.

“YOU TWO GET DOWN FROM THE ROOF RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!!” Ja'far shrieked at the twins playing in a place where they SHOULD NOT BE AT ALL.

"Bad, bad men," Ja'far said simply. He wasn't going to share the information that these were people from his past... they were members of Sham Lash, highly trained, and most definitely out to kill him and all he loved.

“Aladdin, keep your head down…” Ja'far whispered harshly as he brought the young boy’s head to his chest and held him there firmly. “If those men see us, we’re in for trouble…”

Ja'far smiled softly, then turned his head to the side as he began to cough violently. As soon as the fit ended and he had caught his breath, he turned his head back to Nomi, a bit of blood trickling down his chin. "Yam... said... she wasn't sure... if she c-could cure me... I heard her... outside the room... talking with Sin..." he rasped.

Ja'far smiled and knelt down in front of her. He offered his hand. "Ah, Miss Nomi. I heard from Sinbad you'd be joining us to help around the castle. My name is Ja'far, and you can consider me your boss, okay?"

Nomi was a bit nervous meting Ja’far, considering the only time she’d seen him, he was beating the heck out of Sinbad, but she’d been asked to speak with him for whatever reason.
