I might have finished this OMG IT TOOK ME THREE DAYS EOSMDKQKFKWKFK but I'm so happy with the result, damn
Coccinelle and Chat Noir from my AU, they're 20 years old, Coccinelle is head over heels for Chat (ofc he's head over heels for her, too), Chat's actually depressed after he discovered who his father really was, Nathalie died, and well, he found his mom's body in the basement........I mean, come on :")
Here they met for a late night patrol and ended up talking about, well, all sorts of things, and this is how the conversation went.
BTW, if you were wondering about the "Little Dot", I took it from Polish dubbing - instead of calling Ladybug "M'lady", he calls her "Kropeczka", which literally means "a little dot", and I thought it was super cute.
Guess what, after this conversation Coccinelle decided to wear her iconic pigtails again :") not always, but she will be wearing them from time to time in my drawings. God, I love this AU, can u tell
The idea of Ladybug and Chat Noir having official twitters has been living rent-free in my brain for days so take some really dumb “Official’ Ladynoir Twitter interactions
I have not watched an episode of ML since the end of season 1. Everything I've seen since then was screencaps and clips on Tumblr or Twitter, but it doesn't matter anyway because I enjoy the fandom content infinitely more than the canon show. ML is an interesting case where the production team created a fantastic foundation of characters, concepts, and story...then completely squandered it while the fandom took it like an olympic baton and sprinted off to make amazing content. There are some fics that just flat out outclass the actual show and nowadays there's an AU for just about anything you could want. In fairness as well though, the fandom is able to explore a lot of the dark, complex, and/or intense issues that a pair of teenage superheros might face while living double lives and being thrown against a globally devastating threat. The kids show can't really do that with their time and content/rating restraints.
Miraculous Ladybug has an impressively large fandom for a show that’s released out of order in five different languages featuring content that the producer spoiled three months earlier while the head writer whines about fans on Twitter.
Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:
OPEN ANY CATEGORY AND OH LORDY–
There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. I hope this can be useful to my other fellow artists as well! :)
